for those of you wondering why we don't abuse cooldowns on seperate weapons: If the weapon is unequipped mid attack it doesnt count as damage after switching to a new one if the full attack didn't complete. this is especially evident with hammers since they have an arc. it also deals more damage to just fully hit an enemy with the entire hitbox like you're supposed to so there is no reason to abuse equip switching

Two hammers just use one and switch its a tip for new players so they dont have to wait on hammer cooldown
Do not tell new players to spam equip switching, I have an explanation of my own here in the comments on why it is not helpful
