Thanks. The 911 modification is very straightforward but the 921 oscillator is a bit more tricky as a transistor buffer is required to light the LED. Drilling is a bit daunting but done with care it’s quite easy. I think the trick is, to drill a 1mm pilot hole before drilling out to 3mm for the LED. Now that I have inline V-trig to S-trig converters I’m thinking about getting rid of the 961 interface, room for more filters 😁. Getting some great sounds from the System 55.
Nice work! As someone with no soldering or DIY electronics experience, that has considered lately the idea of beginning to try building eurorack from DIY kits, would you say this is a suitable project for a me?
Yes this is quite a simple DIY project. A bit fiddly but not too much to go wrong. There is a channel called Molten Modular that has some long form DIY builds that may be useful 👍
