Hi Rob, thanks for the preview!
Just a few notes from us:
Character Sheets: You can flip them and write down all values if you like that more than the tokens. We are also working on a dial or similar deluxe upgrade for the future to track HP and PP.
For the Doom Track: It only runs in circles between 40 and 30, not move down to zero.
The initiative board just has two sides with different layouts - choose whichever you like better :)
For the downward spiral/bog down in negative points: We had a few people mention this, and we understand that getting unconscious is the main criticism here - missing a whole round for players, not being able to do anything. We might address this with optional rules, recommendations and wishes are welcome :)
Thanks I am still in the early stages with this so I will be making another video
Rob l was waiting for your take on the game. I am enjoying DoD for the last couple of weeks. Single scenarios. DoD is focused on enjoyable dungeon crawling gameplay in my opinion. Not over produced. The standees are just fine. The straightforward design in many aspects is plesently refreshing. Not a perfect game by any means but it does feel like it doesn't need to be perfect at all. I find the other side of the notepad more useful, flip it 😊 Next l'd like to try The Ripper campaign. Grate video 👍
Thank you
I think Victor mentioned that weaker characters going unconscious is more to protect them from taking more damage and making the downward spiral worse because monsters ignore unconscious characters. Idk if that’s the best option, because players don’t like missing whole turns especially when things are getting dicey. But it makes sense.
Did not care for it …..already gone from my collection
Dungeons of Doria looks like a pretty cool little dungeon crawler. I like that you can play it solo or up to 6 players. A lot of games top out at 5, and on those rare occasions I can get my entire group to travel the state and meet up, we are 6. Nice review. Thanks Rob.
Very cool
Nice preview mate 😊
Thank you my friend
I feel like Rob and many others are attracted to the "old school dungeon crawler" feeling but are having problems getting on board with the games actual mechanics and rules.
I’m still working on this so let’s see
How does this compare to other crawlers on the market? Like LoD and DUN?
LoD is a full fantasy campaign experience. Both inside the dungeon and out
I agree
