This video is for if you added a new mod that WORKS BY ITSELF BUT WON'T WORK WITH OTHER MOD. If you are having a game glitch and DON'T KNOW WHICH MOD IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM, follow the link to this video for figuring out which mod is breaking your game using the 50/50 method. ua-cam.com/video/_ua5nu4Mtuw/v-deo.html

so relatable. If you hit ctrl and z on your keyboard it works as an undo button!

I’m unsure what you mean by crest a new save file so do I just click new game and then place random sim in a house? When I exit my game do I press not save and will any of my other save files lose their clothes and mods?

yeah, just create a new game so you’re not messing around with content and settings in the game you usually play with or a game you care about. If you’d been playing with like custom clothes and furniture and you load into that game, those will disappear if you’ve removed those files from your mod folder. As long as you don’t load into your normal game though and you fix the bugs and add back all your content before you go back to your normal game you won’t have any issue. As long as you don’t load into your normal game that you’ve been using custom content in it won’t matter if you save or not because it isn’t the same save file so you’re not changing anything in the game you usually play. Did that make sense?

@@waterseedwilliams not really sorry 😭 but so I just load in like usual but make a new save file as in like press “new game” and then make a new person using no cc? And then leave and do the method and every time I load in just press the new save file? Do I save when I leave or just exit the game

What I do is just put my mod that is messing stuff up in my mod folder and then open my game to test it first. I just start a new game, make whatever random person, move them into a house, and save that so that I can just load into that game every time I need to test a new batch of mods. If the mod is working just fine, I quit the game, add half of my custom content into my mod folder. I launch the game and open that same game I just made and see if all my mods are working fine still. If they aren’t, then I quit the game and take out half of the mods I just put in. I’ll launch the game and open that same game I just created and if my mods are still not acting right, I will quit my game and take out half of the mods that are left until I figure out which section of mods has the content that is conflicting.

@@waterseedwilliams so I do save it every time I leave to add more cc to find what’s wrong? My issue is I can’t see the wants and fears above my sims head and I have tried deleted every trait and aspirations mod and whatever I could think of and this is my last resort. What about when I load up the game and my usual family I play is on the top right corner will they lose there cc? Do I go into my game and make the new game before I do the method?

I just re - read your replies so I think I got it
      1. Go into my game, create a new save file and create a random person and put them in a random house
      2. Leave the game and do the method by moving all mods to another folder then moving some into the regular mods folder load into the new save file then see if it works correctly if it doesn’t try each mod separately until I find the mod that is breaking the game
      3. Delete that mod and put all mods back into the correct folder, then load up the game delete the save file and load into my regular game.
Also sometimes if I create a new save file the one I was recently playing gets overridden. So should I resave the one I usually play and then press create new game?
