Prices really dropped. Got the WHOLE FIT for 83mil (WITH THE SHIP)
VNI also got a big rework, it’s drone DPS got nerfed but it also got the hybrid and rep bonuses. It used to have 125 mb of bandwidth but it got reduced back to 75
If you want something like the old VNI, the Ishtar will do the job just as well, although it is more expensive (200mil for the hull)

how do you maintain aggro on yourself and not on your drones?
by setting the orbit very low. 15 km Orbit around the pirate gate will do the job!

How are you able to get such high DPS on those drones alone? I tried recreating the exact same fit and beyond a difference in cap stability you out damage me by nearly 200 dps. What gives. Are those purely your OP skills?

question. I tried this fit with my lack of skills. I noticed that this shield tank increases signature radius. which increases chance to get hit. when I tried this I almost lost my ship the first attempt as I kept taking damage even at 900+ velocity. would a armor fit work better? I know it will sacrifice damage from drones but what do you think??
My first guess would be to set an higher orbit around the pirate gate. Doing so will give you more m/s. You could try building it with an amor tank, but shield/hull tank on a VNI are more efficient. For the hulltank you need to have good skills, so you have check if that works for you. My best advice would be orbiting at 30km. That would do the job. Also killing small stuff first cause the battlecruisers and cruisers can hit you easily. The BSs just once in a while or more likely never. You can always add me ingame, if u have further questions :)!

Please don't run Havens with a VNI in alliance ratting systems. You'll make isk slower than forsaken hubs and piss of super, Titan, and carrier ratters alike. We adopted a free to engage vni policy if they don't downgrade from Havens during busy ratting hours.
Depends on the Alliance and Corp. But you should run Havens, unless its a problem with your alliances policy.

I don't understand when I fit the ship with these same parts in the simulator I do 241 dps instead of 500 and my capacitor is -80%, is this due to skills?

How should I recover the MTU if I have to run when a Dread appears?
Usually you need someone to clear the dread for you and then you can take it. Otherwise i see no chance in recovering it.

To be honest: Sometimes, when you are not paying attention its too late and he will point you and kill you in a few seconds. But its worth dying to the dread in 1/100 havens, cause of the benefits these Havens bring (10/10 Escalations)
Thanks you for your response. I started ratting last week and got now the VNI. Doing around 500dps with my skills. Im just looking for a better way to make money while ratting. There seems to be a lot of risk involved here.

You wouldn't use a VNI for level 4 missions upgrade to a dominix and use sentry drones with a MJD for that
