- It's been a busy week on our end and with it Erin has been under the weather! While she's been resting and getting better, I've been finishing up some jobs and continuing the renovation of our Master Bedroom (video soon).
As the first day of fall came to Florida, we enjoyed the slightly cooler temperatures outside and the kids helped me give Max a bath! Max is such a good dog and the kids love spending time with him and helping with chores around the house.
What are some fun things you like to do as a family when the weather is nice?

I love that Chad is so gentle and teaches the children to be gentle especially while bathing their dog. Your the best Chad for tending the children while Erin is not feeling well.
Why wouldn’t he look after his own children? It is what a father does. He is the father not the babysitter!
He is a gentle soul and model for how to care for each other - but he’s their dad and of course if Erin doesn’t feel well then Dad takes care of everything. Same as the reverse. The idea that Dads get praises for ‘tending’ to their own children when their wives are sick ??? Dads should take on as many child/home matters as Moms - regardless. It’s hard to imagine someone thanking Erin for taking care of her children. It’s nothing specific to this family - it’s the general attitude of society that needs to be addressed. I think - and of course I don’t know them personally - but they sure seem to be true partners in all the stuff of life. They help each other. They share responsibility for things together and they are both very gentle, loving, caring and thoughtful in just about everything I have ever seen them do. They’re human so I’m sure there is plenty we don’t see and they lose their patience just like every married couple - every parent - does, now and then. But think those are some pretty fortunate children to have two parents who love and respect them so much. Those kids are treasured and I just wish ALL KIDS were treated similarly!! ☮️
Chad is just as gentle with the dog as he is with his kids. A true "gentle" man.
I literally have never seen more gentle patient caring loving hands on parents then y’all. You guys are the true definition of wonderful parents! I only pray that if the Lord blesses us with our miracle baby I can be half the parent y’all are. God bless you guys always! ❤

I love watching you guys. I am 79 and my dear husband is 75. God really blessed me with this man. I homeschooled my 3 youngest, only because I didn’t know there as such a beautiful thing as homeschooling. I taught them from 1 st grade till 12th then also taught different trades. Carl repairs good quality wooden furniture. He repaired for many well known Texas families I will tell you about soon. We ask their permission first if they want to be mentioned on the World Wide Web so not in this post.

I have watched all the seasons of bringing up bates while they were coming out, and i remember the exact episode where you got Max. He looks like such a sweet old dog, and all your kids best friend.

Other UA-cam families are just so ‘commercial’ (in fact their videos are full of actual commercials and sponsors). It’s nothing but glamorous vacations, expensive homes and possessions, and silly social media challenges. But everything I see from you seems so genuine! Thank you for sharing!

Y’all may know this but if you use DAWN on your pets it kills fleas immediately! Mix it with water to make it easier to wash him. Y’all are great!!
