- Paragliding tutorial on SIV maneuvers like spin appreciation, spiral dives of increasing intensity, pitch pendulum, rapid spiral exit, big ear wingovers, front collapse, and asymmetric collapse. These paragliding maneuvers are essential for learning how to manage the pitch of your wing, advancing your glider handling and becoming a safer pilot in general. This how-to is from Kris Holub, the Head of Acro & SIV at The Paragliding Academy.
This is what you can expect at our clinics in Ölüdeniz Turkey this fall!

2023 Turkey SIV!!! theparaglidingacademy.com/tours/turkey/
Perfect didactic speed. Even for regular pilots... ;) THX !
Nice!
Great content ! Once done over water enough times, these basic ones are pretty safe to practice over ground with lots of altitude, say at a place like Organya
Ace you guys! I did my first SIV there last year and am coming back in September to just refresh some stalls etc on my own but will be gone by the time you start. Would have been cool to say hi though. Have a super fun time!!
Great video! Thanks
Good info. Thanks!
Great Video !!!
I still fly a Mentor 4. I love seeing that someone else still likes it!
Good info,
Nice 👌 😊
Hi Ari
I’m not clear on the dynamics of a level wall. Is a wall not level solely because a person is not standing opposite the middle/center of the wing? Or is the wall not level because the wind direction is not perpendicular to the middle/center of the wing? If the person is standing perpendicular to the center of the wing but the wind direction is not perpendicular to the center of the wing will the wall still be level or vice versa if the wind direction is perpendicular to the center of the wing but the person isn’t standing perpendicular to the center of the wing will the wall still be level? Or do both the person and the wind direction have to be perpendicular to the center of the wing to get a level wall? Thanks in advance for your explanation.
Hi Ari
I watched your ground handling video. If the wind direction is not perpendicular to the center of the wing/wall what happens to the wall? Does the side of the wing more upwind than the other side inflate sooner and therefore higher than the other side?
Nope the downwind comes up sooner because a) the lines are shorter once loaded, and b) the ports are more exposed
Can I pull that on a ozone MOJO pwr2? 22 meter
