I haven't been to the Celtic Feis in Ocean Shores since 2019. That's where I saw him a few times. Wow! I recorded this back in 2017? Five or six years go by so fast! I remember going up to chat with him after this performance. What I like about this festival is the many opportunities to mingle with the performers. I hope to make it to the festival again this year...
Now I know why you traveled all the way to this festival. It would be worth it to see Seamus alone. A very funny and talented man. Thanks for posting this video.
Posting these videos is my pleasure... With six days of performances like this, and here the festival was just warming up, it was definitely worth going, and getting my live music fix for another entire year... Tjis was the first time I saw Seamus Kennedy as it was his first time at the festival. I have been to three of these, now, and some of the acts are the same ones, but there are always some that I have never seen before, like this one. Others are conspicuous by their absence...
@@foodquig Right before Covid dropped the hammer, he was talking time off to get rotator cuff surgery. Then he developed a condition that paralyzed his diaphragm. Fortunately, he recovered from both and is back and better than ever.
My parents have a plot out there, and they bring a travel trailer out there in the summer. Every time I use it for a weekend i make it a point to hit galway bay
"Don't tell me you missed the goddamn putt!" Kills me every time.
This guy is an absolute riot! He had me nearly on the floor, and in the next breath, he can really belt out a song!
If I watch this again I'm still laughing... That's how good he is. This was the first time I saw him perform...
Agreed! He is a natural comic, and I did have to watch it twice, because I was laughing through so much of it.
Wow...I saw him back in 1996....He hasn't lost his touch, his humour or his tremendous singing voice.
Saw him last week. If he's in driving distance, I take my mom. I can't wait to take my gf. She's in Florida till she retires in two years.
I discovered the talented Seamus Kennedy a few months ago. I really want to see him live someday!

Seamus is so much fun live. Just caught him in Western NC a few weeks ago.
If you get a chance to go on his Irish tours, DON'T HESITATE.

I have been hoping that one of these years...
"That dear land across the Irish sea". AHA he must mean CUMBRIA!
;¬)
That pub is awesome! I love this guy!
That reminds me: I should start going through this year's footage and posting some performances!
Just saw Seamus' first concert since his medical exile last weekend.
I have been out of the loop... What happened to him?

@@TimothyOBrien1958 Thanks for the update...
Seamus Kennedy, you are a riot!
❤
This guy is awesome
I hope he makes it to the festival this year! It's coming up in two weeks...
The Galway Pub in Ocean Shores is one of my favorite watering holes. If you want Bangers and Mashed with your Guinness you can get it there.

That was a fun performance.

Definitely... This was his first one at the festival... There were others.
You owe me 6 more seconds.
Plugged in guitar sound is outstanding. Can’t make out the model??
Couldn't tell you. Sorry.
