- Massive faceoff in Rajya Sabha between chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar and TMC MP Derek O'Brien over the issue of Vinesh Phogat's disqualification at Paris Olympics 2024. Dhankhar slammed Derek for protesting and warning him of consequences. He added that "They (the opposition) think they are the only ones whose hearts are bleeding; the entire nation is in pain because of the girl, and politicising it is the greatest disrespect to the girl."
