I have both of the new Exo Terra Frogs & co Dart Frog Terrariums... I haven't set up the 18x18x18 just yet I live in NY so it's to cold right now... I was able to set up the 18x18x24... Absolutely love it so far... Can't wait to get the other one done... Awesome video... Love your channel

These ones I got from Mostly Just Geckos. I have some R. vanzolinii and R. imitator 'chazuta' ready right now if you're in Canada
Would love to see a follow up on the tank and substrate. Is it working well (not flooding) without a drainage layer or would you recommend one?

In your honest opinion. What enclosure do you like better the frog & Co are the regular exo terra enclosure.

Heavy feeding and misting, give them lots of different options for egg laying and tadpole raising sites, and try not to disturb them too much.

I know most retailers haven't got this tank yet but any idea when it'll be on the market? Can you ask Exo Terra? Great looking build man, looks really cool.
Thanks, the frogs seem to be loving it so far too! The tanks should be available very soon. I know at the time the video was released many retailers had already placed their orders, so I would expect they should at least be in transit by now...
Subscribed! was looking for any video on the terrasky and found this :) hyped to get mine in next week for my RETF vivarium. Have you tried the moonlight setting at all curious as to how well it actually works?
Thanks for the sub! Yeah I've played around with it and it's pretty cool, I haven't really used it much on the dart frog tank since I just have it running on a timer in daylight mode, but it would definitely be a nice feature to have for nocturnal species!

Thanks! If I remember right these eggs didn't make it. These frogs have probably been my least successful overall in terms of egg viability rates.

Is the mesh small enough to stop melonagasters Getting through ? My experience with exo terra is even Hydei can get through also the slots for all the misting system and other stuff seam they might let flies to get out ? That's why we use euro style Viv's here in the UK ,it would be good if they're escape proof cos they look great
They probably aren't totally escape proof, it looks like there are a couple spots that melanogasters may be able to escape... I haven't noticed any getting out yet, but I only the released the frogs in there the day before the video release so I haven't had a ton of time to evaluate that yet...
What type of Broms do you prefer and what's maintenance like for bromiliads?
To be honest I don't really even know what types of broms I have lol. And I can't say I really maintain them at all... I just give them good lighting and let them go 🤷♂️

Have you had any issues with fly's escaping from the new exo terra frog tanks?
They are not totally fly-proof, but it hasn't been a big issue
Can different species of dart frogs cohabitate in the same enclosure
I think it's possible if done properly, but there are lots of issues with it like the risk of hybridization and stress from territorial aggression. In most cases it's probably more trouble than it's worth and I recommend against it.

Did the exact same thing with the substrate except i used fluval stratum

@@NorthernFrogger its actually working out pretty well, i have mostly epiphtes in the tank but the ones that are growing in the stratum are emersed aquating plants, mostly HC but some anubias and java fern.

I'm TOTALLY new to dart frogs and honestly scared to death of the spray foam, but figure it really is the nicer look.
I notice you don't silicone the edges of the foam to the glass. Is that just a personal preference?

Hi! I'm not reawlly sure about the mosses... I think they were the Tropica 1-2-Grow moss cups, a couple of the easy rated varieties, but I can't remember the names.
Any update on the tank, I'm considering doing just the substratum but haven't seen many reviews of it. Thanks
So far it's doing well! It's been almost a year since that video so I'm planning a 1 year update video for that tank soon :)

How do you keep fruit flies alive during the winter? My cultures die.
Hmmm... I guess make sure they don't get too cold, and make sure they don't dry out... I get very dry winters so I will typically mix my fly media a little runnier in the winter to prevent drying out.

I have a little high humidity incubator bin I put them until they hatch
I just purchased a dendrobates auratus from reptile expo and he’s been in the same spot not even moving doesn’t really eat is there something wrong with him? I heard that transporting dart frogs can stress them also and how long does it take for them to get use to their new enclosure??
It can take a little while to adjust to a new home, and some auratus can be quite shy at the best of times... Normally I would say don't worry too much but if he's not eating that's a bit concerning... Are you sure he's not eating? Sometimes shy frogs will be hesitant to eat if they know they're being watched... Does he look skinny?
@@NorthernFrogger when I first got the lil guy, when I 1st placed him in its new enclosure he was eating my springtails, after awhile I gave him fruitflies he wasn't interested, and on the 2nd day he just completely stopped eating, no springtail or fuitfly and yes he did lost a bit weight, all the dart frogs that was at the show was all skinny, so I grabbed the most average weight sized one and I was hoping to see joshs frogs but ig they didn't come so I was stuck wit the other vendors

How many dendrobates do you put in the 18x18x24 exoterra ?
Depends on the species, for tinctorius usually I'll just stick to pairs, but for auratus or leucs I might do 3-4
