Never been to the full Download Festival before (far to big for me) but my sons band payed their twice on the smaller stages and I went with them once as roadie, which was great, especially when I was stopped back stage by one of the security guards who asked if I was in Def Leppard and could he have a photo - I was dying to say yes on both counts lol. We much preferred Bloodstock Open Air and went for about 6 years in a row and only stopped when they increased the capacity, which made moving around the site so much more difficult and they increased the price too. Not a massive Skindred fan and saw them a few times at Hammerfest and supporting KISS at Newcastle last June, when they were a real good opener. Never seen Metallica live before, always seem to miss them but you got real up close - nice one! Shame about your phone dying but at least it did not rain, as my friends who go every year always complain about, cheers Alan
That was badass!!! We have festivals like that here in the States. Unfortunately, I can't afford to go to any of them 😢. But I can watch your video, and I feel like I'm there 😊.
We kept our eyes out for you folx, but there were sooo many people it was impossible! We lost each other a few times! Was a blast though, despite the horrible camping arrangements, the fact that people filled west carpark, so disabled campers like me had to struggle to get to our campsites. Next year I'm going to book a hotel!

Yeah the site management was a bit rubbish this time, hopefully next year as it will be 'back to normal' it will be better. Great fun though!! 🖤❤️
