Thanks for the video. Just so you know there is a much easier way in PS to combine separate R G and B images. Open all three files then select one, go into the Channels panel and with the fly out menu at right on the panel choose Merge Channels. You then pick RGB and what image gets assigned to each channel. Much quicker and no copying onto the clipboard which takes up memory. To clear out content on the Clipboard go to Edit>Purge>Clipboard. Hope this tip helps! I look forward to getting your books. Clear skies!

Cheers Alan. Thanks for the tip. There's so many ways for doing the same thing. No wonder folks get lost.

@@DaveEagle-Star-Gazing Yes, but there are often faster and more efficient ways of doing things, and ones that are less memory intensive and perhaps non-destructive.I find photographers often still using "old" ways of doing things in PS that are holdover "bad habits" from the early days when they first learned PS (in PS7 or even CS6!) and never unlearned it to do things better! Cheers!

Perhaps you can help. I have obtain data for a master RGB image. All 3 colours have been stacked. When I open the image in PS and GIMP the image is in greyscale. I converted to RGB and still it's greyscale. In the channel tab I can see the 3 colours but the RGB channel is grey. Any idea how I can see the colour as I want to add Lum and Ha.
