Kicking off the very first instalment of the Choral Scholars Artiste Spotlight Series, we have Val Chong! Known for her versatile vocals on both classical and contemporary pieces, Val brings to us an Uyghur folk song titled 思恋 (Yearning), accompanied by pianist, Joyce Lim.
Val is part of the Choral Scholars Artiste Programme - A programme for outstanding young singers under the guidance of VOS Artistic Director Darius Lim at the Voices of Singapore Children’s Choir. She has been a member of the children’s choir since its inception.
Under the tutelage of Leslie Tay, she will also be embarking on her final year as a voice major at the School of the Arts (SOTA) next year.
