When I was 7, I remember there was a girl who came up to the class to tell us she had cancer. For some reason, she shined like no other. She was beautiful, graceful and had an aura that no one could come close to. On that day, i decided to tell her how I feel about her. But every time I saw her, she had crowds of friends around her so I chickened out, deciding to tell her another time. The next morning, I found out that she passed away in her sleep. I regret to this day not telling her how I feel and after 16 years, I still think about her. So if you miss someone, tell them before it's too late because you never know if the memory will follow you for the rest of your life. Ill never forget Chelsea. I hope we meet sometime in the afterlife or the next... and even if it's selfish, I hope I can tell her sometime how i feel about her. She was my very first love and i don't think I'll ever forget about her because I wouldn't be the man I am today without her Edit: its been 4 more years without her. I wish we could experience this together… there’s so much i want to tell her, but I’m still stuck on this side. Maybe if lady lucks permits it, I’ll die soon so I can meet you again.

I had never watched an anime film, but yesterday I watched this film. The only thing I can say is this is one of the most beautiful films I've seen in my life. The ending brought me tears in my eyes, few films have made me cry like this. I would probably watch it again. It's magical.

If you're a human being you'd either cry or get goosebumps. I don't easily cry, but after finishing the film I couldn't think of anything else besides the movie; it made a void in my soul.

Literally everything from this film was brilliant: the stunning visuals, the music, character development, plot, a film can't get any better than this. It's original, and I wish more people were willing to watch anime-style movies.
@@MADCougar04 My only opinion is that A Silent Voice deals with a realistic matter of depression, commonly suffered by a good majority. Hence its clearly more relatable than Your Name which showcases a rather unnatural or supernatural phenomenon. However I must admit that Your Name was a lot more entertaining and its visual were just amazing!
Even in 2023 when the sky gets covered by the dark clouds and the cool wind creases my skin. I sit in an open field listening to Sparkle and the nostalgia hits.

I watched this movie while in a long distance relationship, I remember crying so much! "I came to see you, it wasn't easy because you were so far" - The relationship is sadly over, but I think I will never forget it. Never have I loved so much, we each moved on but everytime I look up to the night sky Nandemonaiya always plays in my head and I can still remember that love. Probably we will never be together again, and I think I am fine with that. I just hope he remembers me every now and then and how much I love him. Love never really fades away, it only transforms itself.

Sounds like me and my ldr that was a surefire whirlwind. Being apart and then being together and then being apart again just you completely encompassed the emotions and feelings that I also felt when watching this movie. Another movie you should watch it's not anime but it's definitely emotional if you've been in a long distance relationship. It's called like crazy.

@@indiana157 Nah, at that point in time they havent met yet. Weathering With You takes place in 2021. Taki and Mitsuha don't reunite until 2022. (Theres actually come inconsistencies with Weathering with you and Your Names ending but the director said he didnt care about the timeline)
This movie changed my perception of life and I am sure I will live a better life from now onwards achieve all my goals and be truly happy without chasing things that are not meant to be, I will keep searching for that one thing or person which is meant for me. On my darks days I will look forward to re-watching this movie to keep me motuvated. The more you watch this one the more better it gets. One movie I will never be bored of and the message of this movie will resonate with me till my last breathe, patience, perseverance, hope and destiny.
Bro this movie is anything but a motivational one. Till the last scene its very emotional and sad. How u find it motivational is unfathomable to me. Its just sad, really sad in the second half. Maybe I'm a pessimist or you are wildly optimistic.

after rewatching this movie I got reminded of the feeling you have after you wake up after a good dream and it slowly starts to fade and you forget it. I had like the best dream ever one time that i just wish was my actual life and now I have that feeling again. I usually have this feeling nearly everytime I dream since as depressing as it sounds nearly all of my dreams are better than my real life. I haven't had nightmares in years at least I can't remember any bad ones. But there was this one special good one that I felt like was longer than the average one. Like straight out of inception kind of thing. When I woke up and started to forget I no kidding felt like a piece of me was missing, removed. Like I was missing out on something in life. Always longing and searching exactly like in the movie. Actually made me feel depressed and now that feeling has returned. I wish I could relive my dreams, return, continue the dream or simply live in them. Dreams are so weird. At times I wish O just didn't dream so I avoid this feeling. This is quite sad but thanks for such a great movie either way!

Relatable.... Try keeping a dream journal. It's such a great feeling, reading your dreams after you've forgotten them. It's like reading a book with your unconscious mind as the author. The weirdest thing about this is that I usually don't remember anything about the dream, so it's like reliving it all over again.
I have an obsession with the original soundtrack. It gives me so much nostalgia from when I first watched this movie. My favorite is Nandemonaiya. I listen to it all the time and it never gets old. Its such a beautiful song.

6:54 when this starts, my eyes swell and get watery. this starts the same time when mitsuha is trying her best to evacuate the city but no one's listening to her making me anxious of whether she's gonna make it or not plus that scene when she fell off and looked at "I love you" on her palm. MAN I COULD LITERALLY CRY MY EYES OUT.
I remember seeing a poster for a movie night at my high school about 2 or 3 years ago. The title of the movie they were showing was "Your Name". I thought it was no big deal and ignored going to watch it. Now it's December 2018 and I just finished watching it... a few years too late. I'm so glad I watched this movie, by far my favourite film I've ever seen and I can't believe the incredible music, animation, characters, story and the amazing connection that I felt with the characters. This is a movie worth re-watching, no matter how many times you see it!
Oh my god the reason the music still works really great in English is because the Japanese vocalist reworked the original Japanese lyrics into American English. I don't recall that ever really happening it's pretty dope that the opportunity was able to be accomplished.

@@roar1042 The thing that happened with me while watching silent voice is that, it is just so depressing from the beginning and because of it , at a point every upcoming sad thing became kinda normal because the whole movie is just sad but the thing with our name is that in the first 30-35 minutes, both caracters are happy and we also se some funny elements but suddenly we se that mitsuha died 3 years ago, and because in those 30-35 minutes, there is an attachment between us and the main characters, we start to feel very sad quiet suddenly which makes it even more emotional
my favourite one is "nandemonaiya". every song is good but I don't know why but I just feel something obout the song, plus the music I just feel myself drowning in that song...
How can one movie leave such an impact on me, this just has to be one of the most heartfelt emotional written anime of all time. I can hear any of these songs and feel happy, excited, sad, angry, satisfaction and frustration it is a roller coaster. To this day all this still stands too. That is the point of leaving a comment like this now, to show this is still one of the best anime ever created. You should watch the films of Studio Ghibli like “my neighbor totoro“ or “spirited away“ they’re really good and available on Netflix
And don’t get me started on the music of these Ghibli films - it’s fantastic

Hence its clearly more relatable than Your Name which showcases a rather unnatural or supernatural phenomenon. However I must admit that Your Name was a lot more entertaining and its visual were just amazing!

I watched this movie while in a long distance relationship, I remember crying so much! "I came to see you, it wasn't easy because you were so far" - The relationship is sadly over, but I think I will never forget it. Never have I loved so much, we each moved on but everytime I look up to the night sky Nandemonaiya always plays in my head and I can still remember that love. Probably we will never be together again, and I think I am fine with that. I just hope he remembers me every now and then and how much I love him. Love never really fades away, it only transforms itself.

Sounds like me and my ldr that was a surefire whirlwind. Being apart and then being together and then being apart again just you completely encompassed the emotions and feelings that I also felt when watching this movie. Another movie you should watch it's not anime but it's definitely emotional if you've been in a long distance relationship. It's called like crazy.

The amount of symbolic significance that you must’ve felt is unforgettable, treasure it
after rewatching this movie I got reminded of the feeling you have after you wake up after a good dream and it slowly starts to fade and you forget it. I had like the best dream ever one time that i just wish was my actual life and now I have that feeling again. I usually have this feeling nearly everytime I dream since as depressing as it sounds nearly all of my dreams are better than my real life. I haven't had nightmares in years at least I can't remember any bad ones. But there was this one special good one that I felt like was longer than the average one. Like straight out of inception kind of thing. When I woke up and started to forget I no kidding felt like a piece of me was missing, removed. Like I was missing out on something in life. Always longing and searching exactly like in the movie. Actually made me feel depressed and now that feeling has returned. I wish I could relive my dreams, return, continue the dream or simply live in them. Dreams are so weird. At times I wish O just didn't dream so I avoid this feeling. This is quite sad but thanks for such a great movie either way!

I remember seeing a poster for a movie night at my high school about 2 or 3 years ago. The title of the movie they were showing was "Your Name". I thought it was no big deal and ignored going to watch it. Now it's December 2018 and I just finished watching it... a few years too late. I'm so glad I watched this movie, by far my favourite film I've ever seen and I can't believe the incredible music, animation, characters, story and the amazing connection that I felt with the characters. This is a movie worth re-watching, no matter how many times you see it!
Oh my god the reason the music still works really great in English is because the Japanese vocalist reworked the original Japanese lyrics into American English. I don't recall that ever really happening it's pretty dope that the opportunity was able to be accomplished.

shes not dead. we all thought she dead but she si alive. plot twist is that their time isnt correctly sync by chance. some remembrance and memories keep pushing to find answers

my japanese teacher recommended this to me and im so glad she did. what a movie. i even got the feeling that i didnt want the movie to end at all after experiencing these characters and the destiny they share in . the ending just makes me so happy but so sad at the same time cuz ill never see whats after

I have never seen such movie not anime not Hollywood just movie though I have watched thousands of them. there will never be any other movie which can replace the place it has made in my heart. No golden globe or Oscar can justify how beautifully this story is presented. 26 alphabets and their combinations can not describe what I feel for this anime. Thank you so so much for this.

Amazing enough to write a comment here. I've never been good with girls, but today I might have found one suited for me. Even better, I thing even if things go south (IDK really which direction is it to be honest, hope i'm right), she looks to be a good friend. So this is my special happy moment. And whoever is reading this, it isn't that hard, you just haven't came across the right one. Don't give up. I know that it's on its way. It'll get better. And every day that day is closer. Even closer than you may think. And make your day a day worth remembering. It's a shame that it took me almost 22 years, 4 schools, 3 girlfirends, uncountable friends, even more relations similar but different and more than enough moments of happyness to realise this. After watching your name I developed interest in anime first I thought that anime is just waste of time but just yesterday I was sitting idol and thought of discovering about animes was just scrolling for anime movie then I saw a very beautiful poster of a movie named you name I clicked it and just read the short story and started the movie while watching this movie I don't know what happened I was living the life of Taki I can feel his pain when he gets to know that Mitsuha died 3 years ago I was trying to control my Tears but just couldn't I thought that was end but after that the movie started going forward when he was forgetting her name I was literally shouting Mitsuha!Mitsuha!Mitsuha! After the movie ended I thought about it all day and just thinking about it again and again I just loved this movie

This movie hits so damn hard. I've rarely felt like criying after finishing an anime oder movie, but this is one of the few exceptions.

@@roar1042 The thing that happened with me while watching silent voice is that, it is just so depressing from the beginning and because of it , at a point every upcoming sad thing became kinda normal because the whole movie is just sad but the thing with our name is that in the first 30-35 minutes, both caracters are happy and we also se some funny elements but suddenly we se that mitsuha died 3 years ago, and because in those 30-35 minutes, there is an attachment between us and the main characters, we start to feel very sad quiet suddenly which makes it even more emotional
my favourite one is "nandemonaiya". every song is good but I don't know why but I just feel something obout the song, plus the music I just feel myself drowning in that song...

How can one movie leave such an impact on me, this just has to be one of the most heartfelt emotional written anime of all time. I can hear any of these songs and feel happy, excited, sad, angry, satisfaction and frustration it is a roller coaster. To this day all this still stands too. That is the point of leaving a comment like this now, to show this is still one of the best anime ever created. A big ty to the creators for this the plot, the music and the animation just simply a masterpiece so tyy ❤️
