Hey mate I've just started to learn this song any advice on what you can do for flat picking the riff and did you downtune it to Eb as in studio recording? Best wishes really enjoyed the performance.
Hey Charles, thank you! Yes, I tuned the guitar down to Eb. It just felt awkward when I tried to sing it in standard E because I knew it so well in the studio tuning. For picking the riff, I focused heavily on learning the underlying chords and then tried to be as economical as possible with the fingers, i.e., only moving the ones that needed to move in the picking progression until it was time to move the hand to another chord position. E.g., the first part of the chorus is just picking a D chord shape, but going between open, 2nd fret, and 3rd fret on the high E string. The entire chorus simply goes between D, Am, Bm, and G chords but it's the slight variations as you pick that make it complicated. I also used this tab to really hone it in, again, trying to keep my hand in one chord position as much as possible until I needed to switch to the next chord position. I hope this makes sense.. tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/tab/3-doors-down/here-without-you-tabs-96346

Wow 😯 you’re really good! How did you learn to play acoustic?
Thanks Kayla! I had a musical background with piano and electric guitar. Bought my first acoustic 13 years ago and spent lots of time practicing!
👍🎉🎉
As cordas aguentam afinar 1 tom ?? Pra tocar a música em Dmaior ??
I tried covering this but I can’t sing as high pitched maybe I could try it with deeper vocals
Could definitely try an octave lower and still sound great
I tried it you can check out my cover if you want to
