If you rotate the cube unit into into a 6 long, 2 high cube, 1 deep shape, you'll have so much space for all those big toys. Konmari does books by colour rainbow or on a slope (smallest books on left, tallest on right), which has a calming visual effect. The cube drawers could go up high and the colourful toys low, so the eyes aren't drawn to the extra space upwards. Keep the trains low, as they're heavy. Lego + basket are big shapes, stack them to save floor space. ❤
I just realised the clothing goes above Lego, if you repurpose the basket in another room, those large toys could stand on-top of cube unit.

I feel so inspired! I just had my second baby and there's so much stuff I saved from my first "because I might use it next time" even if I didn't use it last time. Why did I do that? Lol
To be fair, every kid is different and there’s some items I did use with my second that I didn’t with my first!

Pregnant with my second, and can't wait to get rid of everything I kept for the second as she grows out of them. Will be taking a break for sure before possible 3rd

This is what ive been struggling w the past several weeks. except we all share one room w no real clotheset so its gotten out of control.😮
I just started watching this video, so I haven't seen all the content yet, but already right from the start, I have the same issue!! My kiddo will be 4 in Dec and have pulled a few baby toys like rattles and teether and such but she is on the spectrum so it's hard to get rid of so many other things because every time they come out in rotation she plays with them.
I have a feeling this winter will be it though with her birthday and Christmas...I will not have any room to store all those new incoming toys as well. I have got to pull things for a yard sale we want to have in the spring to unload so many of her outgrown baby things and clear up some room in my home...
Yea... I need to declutter the boys closets too.

I'm always super curious about the "getting rid of stuff" part. Decision of what has to go is one thing, but I always love to see what was sold, what donated and where or to whom and what deemed so damaged or crappy it got separated and tossed.
