I have Pro 4 Vertical and love it! In addition to vacuuming out the burn pot each cook, make sure you take out the four screws holding the whole bottom section in (heat deflector) and vacuum out under there every 2-3 long cooks :) PDM!
Yep! That's one of the aggravating things about that model but I do love that one. This new model is nice but not sure all the "features" are that necessary to upgrade.

I am on my second PB , the first one was the Vertical 3 , it smoked nicely but didn’t cook real well, my second it the PB 1150 Pro , it cooks but I’m very disappointed it doesn’t real smoke that well , I have to add a smoke tube. I feel PB although the 1600 Elite with VST would be nice has abandoned the owners of the earlier models, I wish I could get an upgrade to be able to have VST . If I decide to change , I think I will go with the Camp Chef wood wind pro. As for the sear feature , losing is no biggie , I have that feature on my Napoleon BBQ. Love your videos Mazie, come on PB , step up to the plate.
If you want rapid pellet ignition, great flavour, low ash and pellets contained in something other than plastic, try Jealous Devil. I have a Pro Series 4 v2, currently fuelled by jealous devil and from off to reaching 130F is somewhere between 4 to 9 minutes at most. Jealous Devil holds temp ridiculously well in addition to what I have detailed above.
I've never used a pitboss, i smoke on a traeger, which is nice, but im thinking a verticle smoker might be a good addition. Ill definitely check out the pitboss. Thank you for the great video and info. Polka Dot Monkey 😂

Im new here. But I would like to ask if you still think the PIT BOSS PRO SERIES ELITE 6-SERIES WOOD PELLET SMOKER is worth the buy. Im really interested in the smoker, but I have been reading allot of reviews in which allot of them unfortunately have been negative here lately.

Love having both! I think it depends on what you’re cooking. Vertical is better with longer cooks, the grills are best for grilling.
