This is my local car show I should have guessed Dennis would stop by 1 year or another so cool to see this!!
That is the nicest '51 Merc custom ever! Just right. Dennis, l have to slow down the show so l can see all the sruff you show for a second or so. You could do a two hour special of every one of these shows and still miss plenty of great cars. I would watch all day if l didn't have my own truck to work on.
nice to see a older car with modern engine the 49 ford was great . and probably wont kill you with the exhaust smell.

The Hamm's beer can on the back bumper of that car @ 1:04 is funny. My dad drank Hamm's in the 50's when I was a little kid up until he passed away in 2000. He even had a six pack of Hamm's placed in his coffin. "From the land of sky blue waters..." lol :-)

The Flathead in the Merc makes the car. I had a white ‘50 Ford Woody in high school, into which I put a full race Flat Head and a Hurst shifter replacing the 3-on-the-tree. I’d gladly trade my fully loaded 2013 Lincoln MKX for it, if I had any idea what became of it. I’d even throw in my ‘56 Ford 2-door project car. I bought that woody for $100 and sold it for $700. It seemed like a good deal at the time as that was all I had in it. That and my time. It allowed me to put a down payment on a new VW Bus, which was just what I needed to move away from home and drive to San Francisco in 1968. But do I ever miss that white woody now, and I never give a thought to the VW Bus. Such is life.

o2:56 - Helms Bakery used these, then had custom bodies custom made of this style made for them to be mounted on Divcos by local bodymakers after Twin had merged with Divco and discontinued these.:

The best thing about back to the 50s is there policy of nothing newer than 1964.
Think about it.
12 thousand cars and not one Mustang or Camaro!
It's a shame they cancelled the show in 2020
It’s a bummer, but it’s the right call. If we do the right things now, the shows will all hopefully be back strong in 2021!
