You are my fave-o-rite... there is nothing better than laughing while you try to create.. your sense of humor is right up my alley... and I can relate to your love/ hate relationship with your ice maker... keep up the beautiful work and keep these videos coming... you really make my day!!!
Bless your heart I’m sorry you’ve had a bad day rest assured things will get better..prayers for us all...your pieces today are absolutely stunning and don’t think otherwise!!! 🙏
The leaves look great. Love the pieces, the colours and composition are superb 👌. You definitely have the patience of a saint. I would have had to scrape and wait till I felt I could try again. Well done Thank you for sharing 🥰🤩
Loved the end results, thanks for sharing. You are a joy to listen to, even when you think you're grumpy, 🤣when the fridge joined in too ! Its all so real, I love it. Thought the leaves turned out great, peace out for now 💜 🕖
At the dollar store I found a big plastic bins with wheels on it that fits my cake spinner and I line it with dog pad and it’s perfect and comes with lid and cute polka dots. I just started seeing them last month or two
Thank you for including the recipe for the "not recommended recipe." Lol. I was really hoping you would because I can see some possibilities of using it myself. I think your colors and finished results are always amazing. P.S. I was yelling at the screen at the 22:04 mark when you didn't spin out those beautiful colors. I really wanted to see what it would have looked like. It looked so ethereal at that point. I can only imagine it would have created something stunning. 😁😁
Hi Karen✨🤗 I went through so much experimentation to find a paint with the same consistency as the sherwin Williams hgtv UDB and after lots of try's with all different paints I found it. Go to Home Depot and grab a gallon of the "Behr premium plus interior/exterior Hi-Gloss enamel " I mix it the same way 2:1 with polycrylic and it's 👌. Happy painting sending love ❤️
That was a great video. I laughed all the way through with you. When you first spun the clock ..we said yuk at the same time. Lol. How can it be so different when your using the same colours. Thats crazy 😳. I do love the two final spins. Love from Scotland 🏴 Sandra 🌹🌹xx
AHHH, I would have bought that round one as it was after the first spin, loved that turquoise leafing through like a mineral vein. You were right, there was someone out there, laughs. ;-)
I do like the clock. I like the other better. It wasnt a whole different order. I had to laugh. I went to my icemaker to set it to drop ice. Thanks for the reminder. I like the redo better!!! I will work on one tomorrow.
I absolutely love that you don’t edit out your “disappointments” ...you never really make a fail, let’s just call them an extra pillow! We all learn so much from those little mishaps, and it makes us realize that there can be a light at the end of the tunnel!! I searched and searched for a plastic spinning bin close to the dimensions of yours, but none could be found here in Vancouver (B.C.). I did however find a Steralite 12 Gallon at Home Depot which works perfectly for 10”x10” or similar canvasses... it was just a touch too small for my fave 12”x12”’s. It seems all bins are narrower than this one, so I hope this could be helpful to others. Here are the exact dimension! 23 5/8”L x 18 5/8”W x 9 1/4”H. I agree that a 24” x 24” would be ideal, but it doesn’t seem to be in existence yet! One other question... any other suggestions for a good cell activator?? We cannot get Aussie Floetral in Canada (well we can, for about $100.00 a quart), so we use the American formula, which cheap and easy to get. Unfortunately, itdoesn’t get anywhere near the cell development the Aussie one gets!!
Wow thanks for looking for me!!! Dunno what else to try-some have luck with just Amsterdam paint and water but I can’t get the cells to hold when I stretch with that.
I've had the same problem. I ultimately had to duct tape a cardboard box to size and line it with large garden trash bags. it's actually easy to reclaim paint though. thanks for all the great demo's!!! cheers!
Your work is amazing! Especially your blooms! I have always had issues with blooms so I admire your beautiful color pallets! Yours is one of my favorite UA-cam channels regarding pouring... I have a question for you... how do u color ur cell activator (CA) ? Because I bought 90 colors of Amsterdam paint in assorted colors and literally NONE of them work like the white or the black! Any advice would be greatly appreciated 😊
I love the Dutch pour and the clock. Beautiful!!! What type of hair dryer do you use with cool settings and medium? I got a cheap one the is only high and low and is very hot.
When you said you were looking for a container for your counter did you look at patio plant containers? I think any at the beginning of winter might be on sale, plus some will have bottom plugs to release water, so they can be rinsed and drained outside. Hope this helps, I enjoy your videos!.
I love love love these paintings you do! The first 1 is my fav tho! It’s bright and fun but not too much you know? But then again I love it all, dark light bright happy etc etc etc 👌🏼🔥🔥
You are so much fun to watch and you are so talented. Just love you to bits. Question: Where do you get your floating frames? You showed a painting in one at the beginning of this video. Thank you!
The struggle was worth it! Love the leaves. The painted one reminds me of those little rounds you did eons ago with the brightly paint sides...pink and yellow I think.
Love that big one! That color combo is beautiful and I kinda like all the lacing in the clock. Is that from the paint being thinner? I mean all the fine lacing on it. Seemed like you got more of it than usual. Man I wish I had room to do this but my sculptures are taking up my whole studio, darn it and I have a really large canvas just sitting there all blank too lol. Maybe someday! I love watching you do this though. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Check the under bed storage containers. I’m in Canada and I can’t believe you don’t have Jysk. That’s where I get my containers. And thank you for this video as the paints are changing and it’s a real struggle to find the replacement.
Thanks for the email reply!!! Ms. Karen!!! you're awesome. i'm getting your table!!! boo bear (myhubby) wants me to get a Paint tent!!! cause i keep getting paint every where Lol
Love the colours and end result, but before you span it, OOH SQUIRELL, 😂😂😂 i could see a beautiful english rose garden with a pond full of lilly pads, i didnt want you to spin it at that point. Such a lovely uplifting lady you are and very clwver. X🇬🇧🏴
for large plastic boxes for spinning in Karen the biggest I can find here in the uk on amazon are ‘underbed plastic storage boxes’ hope that helps!!! x
Thanks so much for showing the options for finishing the leaves. I like the painted edge followed by the conditioned (I guess) treatment. I bought a wreath container from Michael's that might work instead of a box. When I can navigate the stairs again (broke a rib yesterday), i will haul it out and take a pic and send it to you. I did the first side of 3 leaves. I am still struggling mightily to get a decent bloom. The first leaf was the best, but I had painted over the taped side of the leaf! Talk about dumb! Oh well. In my defense, lighting is poor in my garage, and the tape was exactly the same color of the unfinished leaf. But seriously....
You can try a round beer cooler. It resembles a large bucket but wide and squat. Seems ideal and if it’s too deep cut off some of the top. Hope this helps
Julie from pouring your heart out has this collapsible octagonal container that she puts on her table and she spins inside of it and never has any trouble with the larger canvases. Maybe you could contact her. Hopefully that helps you out in some way hun.
Hi Karen, for a big plastic container, what about looking in the cat litter box area of pet stores. There are some that are quite big though it's not the norm. Also containers for Christmas ornaments should be coming out soon. Have you been to the Reston Container store?
@@WaterfallAcrylics yes, I seem to remember the Reston Container store having some really big ones. Would a plastic wreath holder be big enough? If I see something around where we live (fairfax), I'll hollar.
If this is what you call a mistake or too thin or ANYTHING else . Well I'm here to tell you that his truly stunning. I wish my mistakes or whatever where near as great.
Hi. It’s a great question-it’s not really white white it’s like a cloudy white gelatin. There is no color. That’s why it says “must be tinted” on the can-it’s meant for you to add the colors (pigment). If you use a level 2 (or Base A or B), then those have a bit of titanium white in them and will tint your colors pastel. You always want Base C or Ultra Deep Base so there’s no white included.
@@WaterfallAcrylics Thank you, I have wanted to ask that question forever...lol But I get so wrapped up in your work I forgot, then say to myself...self just ask next video... 😆 My mind can be a Vicious circle. 🤪
Check out Home Depot for your 24 x 24 square box. They sell moving boxes just cut them down to the height you need; just tape the box up and cut it in half. There you go you have two. 👍
Karen, 2 possible options for you on the container. At Home Depot, or Lowes I would assume, you can go to the area where they have bags of concrete. You can get a concrete mixing tub. I have one that I use. I beleive it is 24" X 36" and 8" or 9" deep. Runs around $13.00. They also have many other sizes you can order online. Just search for "concrete mixing tub". Another item I use for spinning items too big for that tub is a washing machine drain tub, also at a hardware store, or on Amazon. Mine is 30" X 33", but is only about an inch deep. But, it's wide enough that it catches the fly off paint.
If you want thick and super transparent untinted paint , BEHR PREMIUM PLUS INTERIOR/EXTERIOR HI-GLOSS ENAMEL DEEP BASE 8300 and for plastic container look for CHRISTMAS WREATH containers ,they should be out soon for the holidays. THANK YOU !!! for giving so much of your time. Love your videos !!! TRY THAT PAINT

Karen, I love how you......OOOHHH SQUIRREL!!! You kill me!!! You are freakin hilarious AND talented!! So....Here's your damn ice!!! LOL
Your color palette is beautiful.
I love the colors you choose! They’re always so pretty! Teal is my favorite color and I love that you use that for your cells, it’s stunning!
Gorgeous first one and the second one is nice too!
Really pretty, both of them! Love you leaves too. ❤️❤️❤️
Love how the leaves turned out! and of course everything of yours turns out beautiful!

I love the color combo with the aqua green lacing!😍🎨
Like always very lovely painting
I just bought a pool 39in. across, got it from Canadian Tire here in Bracebridge Ontario
LOL, the Baldwin sisters. Yes, i went there with "the recipe", too!
I really enjoy these videos.
My favorite leaf is the one you don't like the you and your daughter did. Looks most like a leaf!! 💚💛
QUESTION. When you use a cell activator, have you put anything in your colors? And what is in a cell activator? I'm just learning and I love your art.

Try the "Container Store". The painting were wonderful.
Container Store-nada. 🙁
I find Behr (Home Depot)Deep Base 3000 Interior/Exterior High Gloss enamel to be pretty thick!

Try finding those canvases! Out of stock every time I look! And the price of them scares me! lol I need to step up my skillz!

Hahaha! That video I found about that color was too funny. Nobody knew how to say it. Hahaha. So you were not alone. Why such difficult names? Lol! 😆
I use a bucket for cement - 60 cm - for the smaller canvas and tiles. And the tried paint can be pulled off easy
