Have you considered using small/medium vacuum bags to compress your yarn & projects? They have a valve for removing air, and oftentime come with a hand pump. Also, maybe I'm using the wrong word--bag--as I'm from the USA. Maybe I should say sack?

don’t take too many yarn with you if you are going to Europe. You will need the extra luggage space to visit all the local yarn shops. 🧶🧶🧶🧶

I have binged all the previous videos (in order....I'm a completionist nerd) and am now devastated that I have to wait for new ones to drop. Your enthusiasm about yarn and knitting is infectious! I am definitely a 'Sarah' when it comes to knitting; a product knitter, motivated for FOs and Autumn colours all the way! I am about to CO my first pair of Double Felted Slippers, and you've both also inspired me to pull the trigger on some Great Ocean Road La Bella yarn ( which I am planning to hold with Isager mohair for a No Frills sweater from Petite Knit!!). Oh Paige..Paige..Paige…just take Sarah and she can take all the wips for you as a stowaway.😉Ditch the socks..you can always get a gorgeous holiday souvenir skein and then wear them.Just one floofy jumper wip and vacuum pack like someone suggested..or a light shawl that you can use as a cushion or wrap along the way.Have a blast. Sarah, the voice of reason, will have all her wips done by the time you get back. So there! 🤭Go well, you two.🙏❤🦘🌏🌱xx
Leave all unstarted projects inc socks there are lots of yarn shops en route that you could do socks from.
Why not find a few yarn shops as you go and do knit evenings to crack on with the one bigger project you take.
Maybe look for a pair of shorties socks that you could combine the left over yarn with the already started socks and the skein you bring along.

Great video Sarah and Paige, where did you purchase the pattern for the Jules Genser sweater? I found it on Ravelry but not for purchase? Have a fabulous trip Paige, take care and have fun.
It's from the Sadnesgarn Soft for Women book and isn't available as a single pattern, you need to buy the whole book unfortunatley. But it's a great book with lots of good knits that I recommend :)
Shawls are both good for knitting while traveling, AND really useful for chilly flights or changes in the weather or just feeling cozy when away from home ❤

Sounds like such an amazing trip! I hope that your packing works out for you and that adventures in new yarn stores keep you supplied with yarn and motivation.
I recommend writing down which place you are in each project before leaving so you don’t get mixed up when returning
