- He re-performed it, so I got to react to it! Since I had watched his performance a few years ago already, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to react to this masterpiece. But since this is a new version from within the last year, I thankfully could! He's such an amazing player and arranger, and from all accounts a very humble person who just enjoys sharing his music with the world without asking anything in return. We'll all the better for it!

You are absolutely right. It may seem easy but in fact it's much more complicated. His finger style is undoubtedly always one of the first things that gets noticed...very different from the majority of guitarists out there. Especially how he executes his harmonics (high pitched bell-like notes) is excellent, masterclass. I am also sure that there is an earlier version of his, not as complicated and advanced as this version. Whether Alib or someone else composed this later version, It's absolutely stunning and brilliant to say the least. Granted that Queen is the creator of this song, I dare I say that I prefer this instrumental version that (to me) sounds better and so much more beautiful with all its different harmonies and intricate chord structures, and Alib capturing most of the vocal sections as well.
Also, it is to be noted that the placement of his pickup does justice to all sound effects throughout the song.
You mentioned a "capo". Normally used for adjustment to suit the voice of a singer. Here, I think, he uses it to easily position his right (picking) hand when he has to sound those harmonic effects. He is definitely one of my favorite guitarists and always such a joy to watch!
