They should have multiple champion skins for the different classes since there are 9 loyalist legions and only 6 classes so they’re eventually going to have to overlap them, might as well start now.
For real. If they're doing it this way they'll need to double up on ideally Blood Angels and Raven Guard as assault. What I would have done: Tactical - Ultramarine Champion (not heavy, Valius' personality befits an ultramarine more than most) Assault - Raven Guard/Blood Angel Vanguard - Space Wolf/White Scars Bulwark - Dark Angel Sniper - Iron Hand Heavy - Imperial Fists/Salamanders The characters personalities fit these chapter personality quirks and fighting styles, with maybe the exception of Sniper as Iron Hand. Tactical could also fit Iron Hand due to Auspex Scan, and Sniper could alternatively work as White Scar in the hit-and-run sense.
@@dracses4529 for me it’d be Tactical: Ultramarines Assault: Blood Angels Vanguard: Space Wolves/White Scars Bulwark: Dark Angels/Imperial Fists Sniper: Raven Guard Heavy: Salamanders/Iron Hands
I wish tactical got more melee like a power axe or a chain axe just any more new melee for any character. Some salamanders are hammered wielders diverse in all melee weapons
@AJ-zu7ct not just Tactical put the all classes except the heavy and hopefully get another class of a Terminator For Consult players as well Not just mods for p c
i don't want spending 1 hour even for lethal level but it's lookin so cool with lictor and zoantrop spamming around - why don't make like this with all levels ?
Considering how stupid fckin moronic hard this game is at "average" difficulty im not even gonna bother going through the BS of the higher difficulties. This game makes the most games From Software has released look like picknics....
@@Gundolf300 in my experience, It honestly comes down to how good your team is, and how hard the game decides to spam you with enemies. Like there are points where the spam is manageable to a degree, and then just downright unfair.
What "significant content" have modders added? All Ive seen them do is disable restrictions to remove challenge, add cosmetics, and make extremely unbalanced/OP weapons.
@@nathancawley8759 I’ve seen mods with entirely new weapon models. They added some existing weapon animations to them and sounds but I’d rather get some new weapons even if they had existing animations than just a reskin of a helmet.
@@Ragnarakk187they’re just reskins of the armor and weapons nothing more bro. And most of the helmets have significant errors in their designs, and also lore accuracy. Modders just reskin stuff etc. sure they’re wonderful and all but it doesn’t change the fact that the power axe they implemented is just based on the power sword.
So they said the reason why they picked sniper for Salamanders is because heavy was already taken, does that mean they only plan on making 6 champion skins and that's it?
They will probably only cover the most popular ones before calling it quits, wouldn’t suprise me if they did black templars over a first founding chapter
IMO sally sniper champion is wack, literally any other class would b acceptable. Orrr give me all the sally skin stuff to put on my other classes Saber
This. I’m rocking the standard skin on my heavy right now. Got the dark angels DLC and put the flames from the Bringers of Judgement (or whatever they are) chapter on my boots to make it really stand out.
My only complaint, which applies to every game that has customization, is that I despise restrictive customization. Especially if I am paying for it. I give you my money and you limit how I can use the cosmetic? A surefire way to make me not buy shit from you. Adding all these class exclusive skins without making the individual armour pieces interchangeable is a spit in the face of the player tbh.
yes exacly! you should be able to change and customize the champion skins. i think its gonna be a mod that does it, i want the helm of the champion bulwark on my tactical and able to use a power sword with it!!!!
You must not understand Warhammer 40k, Champion skins aren't meant to be special. They're armors for Chapter champions, not meant for just any Space Marine. The Heavy Ultramarine Champions Skin is supposed to be Uriel Ventris, Captain of the 4th Company Ultramarine. The Dark Angels Bulwark champion skin I believe is Master Lazarus, Master of 5th company Dark Angels. Champions skins don't need to be customized, they're perfect as is. The Devs have said since launch Champion Skins will not be able to be customized, so get over it.
@@Soul-HunterVIII That's all well and good but I wasn't speaking exclusively about customizing the champion skins. What I meant is having features of armour sets like the wings on that bulwark helmet, the chains and baubles or cloth pieces be useable on other classes. I'm not opposed to champion skins whatsoever, they make perfect sense. But they go through the effort of making all these cosmetics and then restrict it all to a single class and you can't even use them on your own presets within the intended class. I'm sure you've heard of kitbashing as a warhammer fan? I just don't want to be restricted with my cosmetics after buying them. Very simple.
Space Marine 2 isn't gonna have Flamers in pvp or PVE, they're too weird to Balance and would be very easy to counter. People need to relax, Space Marine 2 isn't gonna have customization like the Tabletop. I actually build and paint miniatures, I think Saber is doing an amazing job with Space Marine 2.
@@Soul-HunterVIII oh yea and why the hell not ? They said it's a power fantasy ?? Ok give me my fantasy I want a jetpack on heavy with two wrist meltas !!! And rockets too ! You said it's my power fantasy deliver on it. Also you paint tiny plastic men and that makes your opinion instantly better than anyone's ?
I only recently got into 40k via this game and yet even I know Sniper being the Salamander's champion class is baffling, even more so choosing the bolt sniper rifle instead of the las fulsil, y'know the intense beam of light and HEAT? I swear the devs can't read a room at all.
Hey whose better to get the champion skin for the invisble sniper class, A. The stealthy chapter which cannonically have members who can turn invisible to the naked eye or B. The group that is canonically the largest hieght and width wise of all space marines that love fire. Thats right the fire ones- focus entertainment
They did it for the cape, Sally skin capes are signature, only the sniper has a cloth cloak. Still a very stupid decision, Sally's should be hammer wielding, shield swinging, melts firing beasts!
This game needs actual content and revamps, a singular skin for 1/6 classes is not fucking content... an entire YEAR for a PvE horde mode is bullshit and telling of the dev teams capabilities.
Would you prefer zero support and the game just be as it was launched? This just sounds incredibly entitled to me. Game has been worth every penny i paid for with base content, why complain because free extra content (game modes, maps, etc not the skins) aren't coming for what you deem fast enough?
Good thing that's not what's happening. Reminds me of when they announced official mod support and there were morons like this going "wtf devs why you killing mods? "
@@Adalon-he's right tho. There simply isn't enough content available currently to get excited about a forecast centered mainly on cosmetics and fine tuning of what's already available. Horde mode and a couple new free maps will help a bit, but unless they're quietly sitting on a major map pack, this game is going to get stale so fast.
this is actually what happened with Evil Dead, though in that game they instead poured all their dev time into making a battle royale instead of what literally everyone wanted which was a horde mode.

Wow I'm sure the 4 people playing it had a fun time. I tried playing it a few weeks ago and like alien fire team nobody is playing it.@@kennyleung9909
Honestly should have saved the Salamanders skin for when they implement the flamethrower weapon from the campaign into the multiplayer. Would have been a good thing to bundle the two. I think most people's frustration from this is the fact you have to pay for this skin so the people who got the season pass feel burned if they were waiting for the Salamanders skin. To be honest if this was a Blood Raven's skin it would have made much more sense given Cyrus was a Blood Raven sniper from Dawn of War 2, so there is a canonical basis for it and the devs have stated that GW is obsessivly making sure that the stuff added to SM2 is canonical. To be honest though I'm not a fan of these Champion skins since they are so restrictive. Heck one of the most popular bugs from SM1 was glitching the Champions skins from that game to be usable with the regular customization. The devs really should have taken note of that and tried to make it an official feature.
Saber:”we want class identity so we’re going to limit all customization in a IP where customization is the main identity” Not to mention they still haven’t fixed the progress reset bug
This dev team acts like it's an act of God to get anything done... smaller teams easily go above and beyond compared to what we are getting here. They are not listening to the player base, this skin choice happend solely because the class already has a cape on the model... lazy, could go a step further and give us the skins for all classes? Oh wait, yall would have to do something then..
The more updates and roadmaps get announced the more I feel like they bamboozled me for 60 bucks for a game that was still in beta but marketed towards an official launch. They couldn't make a friends list and still haven't been able to make one, still cant see what other classes are before joining, bare bones pvp, 6 pve missions at launch and 8 now, but hey at least they were able to make sure we had $40 day 1 dlc and a good stream of incoming skins. The game is fun but man I feel like they should have spent another year or two before releasing it just feels so bare bones especially at launch for a game that wasnt marked as beta.
Salamanders as has been said .... Fire is of their characteristics. I was expecting Heavy Multi Melta. Or Heavy and they add the Heavy Flamer to the game. Any Salamander player is slapping their heads right now I think. That said, totally agree that the sniper skin is slick. I'll use it. I just wish it were something more "Salamandery"
Just lost all my weapon progression on all my fucking weapons. 90% of them were relic tear maxed out, now all are standard. 280+ hours down the fucking drain
SM2 had more functional and engaging content on launch than a majority of games for the last decade. Just because it didnt to literally everything you hoped for flawlessly from the word go, doesnt make it incomplete.
@nathancawley8759 I get what youre saying. But, when they release games and then immediately say "heres a bunch of stuff upcoming" its obvious they dont "HAVE TO" release that all for it to be considered a full release. They can get it mostly there and dump it out, and let us be playtesters, figuring out how the game "should be." Im not saying its a bad game, and not really putting them as one of the top contenders for half-finished games... But its obvious its not the full game, and we need to stop accepting full prices for incomplete games.
@@crackdog3523 What made it incomplete? All 3 modes, 6 classes, and 12+ weapons worked on launch. If they released all of the DLC up front they would have no way of knowing how it would interact in a live setting, which would make debugging and fixing things a nightmare. They provided a complete experience, and are adding to it over time at a pretty solid pace. Expecting a developer to fully playtest an involved game which will have a player base in the million before launch is silly as hell.
I'm quite happy we're getting a new pvp map but I wish they'd given us Chaos customisation as well before this Salamander sniper. I end up being chaos in like 70 percent of my fights and I'd like to be able to do more than just repaint them! It's odd when you consider how much pvp customisation you had for Chaos in Space Marine 1 by comparison
As a chaos hater I would also much rather see the devs give you traitors decent content so you can actually look like your chosen Chaos God mutated the humanity out of you, instead of wasting their skills and time on putting dragon and flame textures on a sniper rifle no Salamander fan will be looking forward to. Noise Marines would be really fun to see blasting around.
Yeah I just dont get it, a single champion skin even though in rhe files and in the last showcase it seems like the raven guard heraldry pack was pretty much done??? Look im glad we are getting something but bro damn. If it were up to me the seasons would go like this -Beginning of season -Chapter heraldry - New operation -Mid season -Anything else, weapons, pvp maps, balancing etc -Late season - Champion pack (to celebrate) - New operation At this point they just need to start dropping content when its done not thin it out through the year otherwise this game will die before we get anything meaningful (season 9 blood angels?? Really???)
Yeah it would be nice to see more content get released when it's done. But we did get two operations since launch which isn't bad at all lol. I just think they underestimate how much people are playing this game. Horde will fix that. Nothing wrong with taking a break till then.
If the new difficulty actually makes enemies harder...instead of further making us more soft then wet toilet paper. It's so frustrating wanting to grow stronger as you level and wanting to challenge yourself only for increased difficulties to just neuter the small power gains we get. I REALLY hope prestige ranks and perk reworks introduce actual power growth, then i'll be fine with a new difficulty.
What the heck is Salamanders getting a sniper…. Wtf really missed the mark on that one. You know that they’re fire friendly why not the melta’s maybe way too easy or they’re just not really caring about the actual lore of the factions
Anyone else hyped for the salamander successors. Just painted my first marine and it was a dark kraken I love the chapters lore. Also when it comes to chapters matching classes I do want to know y’all’s opinion on what you would choose for each class. When I looked at Bulwark I immediately thought imperial fists, Vanguard is Space wolfs, sniper is Raven Guard, tactical is salamander, Blood Angels is assault and heavy I think would look cool as an Iron hands champion.
The sniper skin looks awsome. Really thought tactical would be Salamanders and sniper would be Raven Guard. Kind of an odd choice. Guess assault will be Raven Guard which also makes sense.
Don't hold your breath for Lightning Claws, the devs have said creating new melee weapons is difficult and has a long development time. You need new animations, multiple executions, balancing etc. Maybe later down the line they'll add new melee weapons, but for the most part, new weapons will be Ranged types. Personally I'm excited for a Possible Raven Guard Assault champion, and it's not for lightning claws, I want my Assault Champion to have those Raven Wings that Raven Guard Jump Assault Marines have. Don't get me wrong, I would love the Raven Guard Assault champion to release with Lightning Claws, would be God damn amazing. But I know that's difficult for Saber to pull off.
@ should have for sure designed more weapons/animations to have in the pocket at for future releases. Anyone with a brain knows the amount they currently have is just not enough.
@@YewChewberthe original only had three weapons, the chainsword, power axe and thunder hammer, they traded the power axe for a power fist and added the power sword, in my opinion there are enough weapons for now, if anything, blame gw they are making it so you create a character, then are able to build nearly the exact same character with official parts, I don’t see them at the moment adding parts that you can’t use on official models
@ right but that even furthers my point. The original only had basically 1 less melee weapon. The universe has several, they knew they’d be adding chapters and such, so it’s just poor development in that aspect from my opinion. They could had it designed and touched it up right before release. Warhammer is a very melee focused universe, so why limit it while knowing all of this? I still really enjoy this game though.
This is what glazing a lackluster game (just cause it’s not woke) will get you. Both ends of the spectrum are detrimental to gaming itself. My $100 was wasted and SpaceMarine is on my list of regretful game purchases of 2024…
I feel u. I almost bought it myself but was able to resist urge to buy it after how Saber handled Evil Dead. All the complaints sound so similar. They launched EDTG with 2 maps, took them forever to add the 3rd that was meant to be at launch, kept drip feeding cosmetics, characters, weapons, but never added any more maps. It was fun at launch but after not even 2 weeks trending youtubers and ppl on reddit cried for balancing, so Saber just kept making it less fun with endless balancing patches, as that became the main focus for some reason. After a year or so they just gave up on developing meaningful updates and moved on to SM2. I managed to play SM2 using a friend's key but only after a day or so of grinding I tried every coop map/operation, in which the gameplay is ok but nothing to write home about or spend 90 dollars on. Looking at the fact I barely unlocked any cosmetics after trying every map really made me thankful for not buying it, as I do not appreciate grindy games that disrespect my game time like that. Also trying out raptor class in an operation was a huge let down for me. It reminded me of how meteor man is afraid of heights in that movie. Realizing how lackluster the pvp was also showed me that I made the right decision in not buying another overpriced, mediocre game.
My problem is that the devs of space marine 2 aren’t listening to past complaints people have had they think that all they have to do is release a new update and everyone will be happy, sure people will be fine for a little bit but after that the complaints will just pop up again and the people complaining will just have more to be mad about
It's an ultra edition bonus that can't be bought separately so if you want the skin and already own one of the other editions you have to shell out over 100 dollars for it
Seems like the salamander love is only superficial. On top of this, we don't get our weapons, skin color, or eye color as options. All my characters need to have helmets
The customisation needs to be opened up more Let us be able to use the individual parts of the champion sets, colour them as we like and use them on any class except maybe the chest pieces because of the armour types and size differences Let us be able to remove or apply emblems and decals to our helmets instead of having 6 unlockable helmets that just have slightly different emblems, it would be nice to be able to apply the survivor helmet's scratches and broken eye to any other helmet as well Let us be able to colours capes and apply emblems Let us be able to colours weapons This is a game that should have amazing customisation
Salamanders sniper is dumb af making ultramarine heavy has f'ed them up ultramarine should have been tactical salamanders are known for flamers and being blacksmiths heance hammers and should have been heavy. they are updating way to slowly, skins aren't content, and a new difficulty is honestly crazy wtf for less than 20% of players have cleared a ruthless mission let alone leathal the new difficulty is gonna have like a 1% completion rate unless they absolutely buff the f out of us,
Extremely proud underwhelming. They should remove class restrictions for operations. Cause I know I’m not the only person whom cannot use their favorite weapon combination outside of the campaign. I’m personally never going to play lethal, and never going to play whatever the new difficulty is. As of now I wholly expect horde mode to be the drop that has me quit this game and go back to playing the first space marine, where they didn’t have to nerf players for playing together.
So glad I got this game for Christmas man, no matter hate from the community or not, knowing I’ll be playing a banger that’s gonna keep blossoming is more than enough for me.
they do, lol. It's not like all Salamanders are Heavy weapons users. People are hardcore overreacting. Personally I'm glad Raven Guard isn't a Sniper, gives me hope that they'll be the Assault Champion and we'll get the Wings that Raven Guard Jump Assault Marines use. Would be so damn cool. Tactical is definitely gonna get either Imperial Fists or Blood Angels.
@Soul-HunterVIII I think tactical will be blood angels or space wolves. Heavy should go to imperial fists. Or at least make each class have something different for each chapter.
No salamanders specifically specialise is flame weapons and almost all space marines specialise in one thing or another, raven guard are the steath guys blood angles are the assault guys bulwark being dark angles was 100% the right choice space wolves should not have jump packs because they don't like them and prefer to fight with both feet firmly planted on the ground as Russ intended the only real chapter that doesn't specialise in something are the ultramarines and that is because they are supposed to be the jack of all trades masters of none for table top players, imagine a blood angles army the chapter with the red thirst and black rage that makes them go crazy and charge headlong into melee fielding nothing but heavys and tanks instead of assault based troops, that is what they have done with the salamanders that is why people think a salamanders sniper is dumb if you don't understand this you obviously don't understand the lore
I just wish they fix the connection issues with some servers and the bug at the end of missions where you get stuck loading other than that I can't complain love the game
so ridiculous, when the game came out everyone praised it, everyone said it was a breath of fresh air from the current state of the industry, now everyone seems so keen on shitting on every tiny little thing the devs do, salamanders on sniper (understandable to a degree but calm down, it's not the end), horde mode not being out yet, updates not coming fast enough. and now people are already talking about dropping it entirely... what ? it's honestly just sad how entitled some people are, yes i want horde mode, yes i want certain costumization options, but things take time, creating new game modes probably isn't as easy some of you seem to think it is.
And also the fact that Fortnite conditioned people on fast updates and now most expect these updates to come fast. Yes I also am a bit bored of playing all operations over and over again but I’d rather have quality over quantity
@@rhagos5562 dude $60 is 2 hrs of work for most adults. The fact that you got a pve campaign, a pvp mode, an additional pve mode, 6 classes and , more than a dozen weapons each with unique perk trees is a helluva deal for only $60. For the tiny investment, its a superb product.
@@thejunglecommando I mean why is that bad? If a free game offers faster content than a game you paid 60-100$ for, then why is it not a valid criticism?
I dont know much lore, but asault would be better i think, vulcan main weapon was hammer and salamanders are know blacksmith. i like salamander sniper he look cool so i am okay, maybe i start play sniper (i am bad sa fuck as sniper)
Maybe for the Sniper they could've added in Raptors. Would make more sense. Even a Ravenguard would make more sense than a Salamander. Also, GIVE TACTICAL PARRY!!!
Not being able to play online with cosmetic mods is such an L. I understand using mods for other uses that breaks the core of the game being banned but I just want to Solely use mods for armor customization and still be able to play online
Shit just feels like its dragging is all, sure sally sniper is dumb but I'll hold my disappointment til we see what they do with Vangaurd and Tactical. As far as cosmetics go, my main concern and slight annoyance is the fact that certain helmets have chapter icons on them (mk.VIII Errant helmet being Ravenwing and mk.VI Corvus most likely being Ravengaurd) I get it, but giving us the base form of the helmets would've been better. Plus the helmet decorations need to be its own customization option so we dont have ten of the same helmets with different decor on them. Saves the silly issue that heavy has with having two of the same helmets becuase one had green eyes instead of red before the lense color update.
Since the patch 5.0 update, I couldn't log into the game anymore. Used to play without a problem, then the update arrived and I played the new operation the same day. Next day I couldn't log in and up until now I still can't, game keeps crashing even before the main menu. I've read every forum within Reddit and the game's community site and there's people with the most expensive set ups that have the same issue, so it's not about the quality of our PC's or internet connection. It's the backend of their own game and until they don't find the root of the problem, there will be a minority excluded from the game, sadly; me included that is. Beside that? The news are great, I appreciate that they take their time to tell us what's ahead for the game. I just wish they could fix the game a bit faster.
Meh... If I'm paying for cosmetics why limit them to a class that many will not agree with. Is a skin, it should be simply the color scheme. So if I want to add it to a heavy main with the heavy melta, I can. or I want to add it to the vanguard with the melta I can. Who is this appealing to? Those who are too much into the lore? No. So... again, meh.
I would like the missions to have an extraction point to fight towards than the abrupt end. A 4th battle brother. A librarian class. Secondaries should all be shared throughout and not locked to just a bolt pistol. A bolter shotgun would be amazing to add.
It’s a weird skin for sniper, but I’m sure they will release Salamander armor pieces to unlock like they did with the Dark Angels. So my Salamander heavy can just wear those.
Honestly i feel like the armor customization can be a lil better if they just let us customize the different armor pieces for example the dark angels right pauldron would be cool to have it on both sides and for the blood angles to have the emblem on both sides
I dont get why sniper like its such a bad pick it looks cool but sniper has nothing to do with fire and for the bolt rifle was a dumb pick they should have done tactical and who cares if heavy had 2 skins i dont even really like his ultra marine one anyways and theres only 6 classes but 9 legions there gonna have to have doibles at one point anyway
They need to make champion cosmetics available as individual customization items an not a blanket look. There are certain elements I would prefer to keep my own. Example: Bulwark Dark Angels champion helmet
On the one hand, the dev themselves said raven guard would have been obvious so I don't know why they picked salamanders On the other hand, finally, a sniper skin that isn't ass
Salamdners are known for using hammer more than other chapter yes. Also what do they mean heavy was already taken? No one is forcing them to only have one heavy champion except themselves. Like what's their problem?
The game has so much potential imagine private lobbies for pvp with custome games, custome so you arent stuck to one class, map creator and file share it beat halo call of duty legacy
My problem is that the devs of space marine 2 aren’t listening to past complaints people have had they think that all they have to do is release a new update and everyone will be happy, sure people will be fine for a little bit but after that the complaints will just pop up again and the people complaining will just have more to be mad about and the cycle will continue unless 1 out of 2 things will happen 1: the game slowly dies as the devs continue to ignore us or 2: the devs start seeing the complaints people are having they will pay attention and they will improve the game and include things people have wanted maybe they’ll fix the servers and the load times while they’re at it
This question is about Salamanders, but not the Sniper! Do we think there will be individual Salamander armor pieces and weapons along with the champion? (Ex. Dark Angels shoulder, helmets, shield, power sword, auto bolt rifle, etc.)
I honestly dont know how I feel about a new difficulty. Are they just gonna make everything hit harder and have more hp? If so, then I think its a terrible idea. If they are doing something else to make it more challenging then it might work, but either way my casual ass only ever does Ruthless so its moot to me. The sniper skin looks good but salamanders are *not* known for stealth or kinetic weapons so it kinda misses the mark lore wise. Also I swear the people bitching about "restrictions" and "creativity" either want to completely homogenize all of the classes so that everybody can use everything or are thinking "Why cant my guy use the heavy plasma, a thunder hammer, and the jump pack?? They just dont want me to have fun!!".
I hope well be able to have the battle barge be the same chapter as our space marine cuzz it feels weird for me at least being a dark angel surrounded by ultramarines 😭😭😭
Honestly champion cosmetics are weird. I dont hate the concept of them but id like it much more if they were chapter specific interchangeable armour pieces like the normal ones but they hold more value (harder to unlock, not that they literally cost more)
If the Raven guard champion isn’t the assault jump pack then I’m gonna be upset they wasted a salamander champion skin. Like…why? The ultramarine champion should have been the tactical, salamander needs to be heavy, Raven needs to be sniper and the dark angels as the bulwark is the perfect choice. If they chose blood angels as a future champion it would be perfect as the assault and space wolves champion as the vanguard grapple marine
I was playing last night on easy diff to try and make the 10 missions go by faster for the new sword skin, met some lvl 1's and helped them survive as a heavy, One was Tactical other Bulwark. Did they update friendly fire? I accidentally shot the Bulwark while he was blocking with plasma pistol and it kinda sparked and made an AOE effect around him. I am 300+ hrs in the game at this point. I pretty sure it never did that before. I took a little break from the game so I could have missed an update. just asking to ee if anyone else thinks this aswell
I’m just waiting for all the people who aren’t happy with SM2 right now to discover that darktide is a thing and switch to it. The only reason why you’d play SM2 is because you love the soulslike style combat and you like being a space marine. Darktide’s superior in everything else
7:57 Making sniper a salamander was the worst idea they came up with. 8:16 Finally some good, fucking armor I can use with the only good helmet besides bulwarks. I only have one question. WHERE IS MY MK8 SET?!?! 10:44 Hammer is the weapon of choice of Vulkan and his sons enjoy how it works with their physicall might. 11:21 Its infuriating for people who know lore and care about it. If it's not important for you than shut up. 12:47 I believe it's about certain loadout restrictions. Sidearms should all be available for everyone. Knife and power sword should be available for tactical and a few other things. 13:50 They should make a deathwatch expansion with chapter specific voice lines and a lot more... 14:10 Fuck chaos. The right question to Ask is WHY SO MANY ARMOR PIECES JUST REEK OF ULTRAMAR?!?! 15:16 Because people care about the lore and 40k Has one of, if not the, most passionet community centered around lore. 15:38 Preach brother. Just like me. 15:46 No. 16:08 Give it to the Raven Guard. 16:15 But it's not where it SHOULD be. There was so much potential for something better but NOOOOOOO.
It's not that big of a deal heavy is probably gonna be imperial fists or iron hands. This is still nice cuz of the dragon skin cape. Plus salamanders isn't one of the most popular founding chapters due to them being made into the cuddly reddit marines.
Salamanders known for fire and physicality......
Lets give them a sniper champion. I dont get it tbh

For real. If they're doing it this way they'll need to double up on ideally Blood Angels and Raven Guard as assault.
What I would have done:
Tactical - Ultramarine Champion (not heavy, Valius' personality befits an ultramarine more than most)
Assault - Raven Guard/Blood Angel
Vanguard - Space Wolf/White Scars
Bulwark - Dark Angel
Sniper - Iron Hand
Heavy - Imperial Fists/Salamanders
The characters personalities fit these chapter personality quirks and fighting styles, with maybe the exception of Sniper as Iron Hand. Tactical could also fit Iron Hand due to Auspex Scan, and Sniper could alternatively work as White Scar in the hit-and-run sense.
@@dracses4529 for me it’d be
Tactical: Ultramarines

Hello fellow mander ❤
I wish tactical got more melee like a power axe or a chain axe just any more new melee for any character. Some salamanders are hammered wielders diverse in all melee weapons
I wish it had the combat knife, I know it’s not very practical but it’s a very flashy weapon I’d love to run around with

@@Gundolf300 in my experience,
It honestly comes down to how good your team is, and how hard the game decides to spam you with enemies.
Like there are points where the spam is manageable to a degree, and then just downright unfair.
It is a little disconcerting that modders seem to be able to add more significant content than the developers

It's the fact they add all this stuff in a week or two and months later saber is still chasing their tails.

So they said the reason why they picked sniper for Salamanders is because heavy was already taken, does that mean they only plan on making 6 champion skins and that's it?
Seems like it, they're probably not even gonna cover all the first founding chapters kinda disappointing.
They will probably only cover the most popular ones before calling it quits, wouldn’t suprise me if they did black templars over a first founding chapter

@@coloroutofspace4029 RIP, I'm a filthy console peasant. I do hope you're right though for the sake of my battle brothers on PC.

I only recently got into 40k via this game and yet even I know Sniper being the Salamander's champion class is baffling, even more so choosing the bolt sniper rifle instead of the las fulsil, y'know the intense beam of light and HEAT? I swear the devs can't read a room at all.
@@averageeughenjoyer6429 Very true but honestly fits Raven Guard far better.

Hey whose better to get the champion skin for the invisble sniper class, A. The stealthy chapter which cannonically have members who can turn invisible to the naked eye or B. The group that is canonically the largest hieght and width wise of all space marines that love fire. Thats right the fire ones- focus entertainment
This is the dumbest decision they've made so far besides the nerfs that came a few months back.
They did it for the cape, Sally skin capes are signature, only the sniper has a cloth cloak.
Still a very stupid decision, Sally's should be hammer wielding, shield swinging, melts firing beasts!
Easy fix, give the champ skin a cape

Saber:”we want class identity so we’re going to limit all customization in a IP where customization is the main identity”
Not to mention they still haven’t fixed the progress reset bug
This dev team acts like it's an act of God to get anything done... smaller teams easily go above and beyond compared to what we are getting here. They are not listening to the player base, this skin choice happend solely because the class already has a cape on the model... lazy, could go a step further and give us the skins for all classes? Oh wait, yall would have to do something then..
Thanks!
Holy cow thank you! This is my first Super Thanks so I just want to say how much I appreciate it!

Idk how i feel about games launching at .7 and taking 2 years to get to 1.0 in terms of content.
Incomplete?
What was missing, from what was advertised?
Apparently if the data leak earlier this year is correct there are plans for that sometime next year
Yeah I just dont get it, a single champion skin even though in rhe files and in the last showcase it seems like the raven guard heraldry pack was pretty much done??? Look im glad we are getting something but bro damn. If it were up to me the seasons would go like this
-Beginning of season
-Chapter heraldry
- New operation
-Mid season
-Anything else, weapons, pvp maps, balancing etc
-Late season
- Champion pack (to celebrate)
- New operation
At this point they just need to start dropping content when its done not thin it out through the year otherwise this game will die before we get anything meaningful (season 9 blood angels?? Really???)
Yeah it would be nice to see more content get released when it's done. But we did get two operations since launch which isn't bad at all lol. I just think they underestimate how much people are playing this game. Horde will fix that. Nothing wrong with taking a break till then.
A year and a half to 2 years for BAs is disgusting
Assault along with introducing the Lightning Claws and duel wield feature? That would make up for it I suppose
My problem is that the devs of space marine 2 aren’t listening to past complaints people have had they think that all they have to do is release a new update and everyone will be happy, sure people will be fine for a little bit but after that the complaints will just pop up again and the people complaining will just have more to be mad about
Since the Heavy champion is a preorder bonus, they should have made a new one for those that didn’t get to preorder.
It's an ultra edition bonus that can't be bought separately so if you want the skin and already own one of the other editions you have to shell out over 100 dollars for it
@ yeah and I don’t want to do that.
Seems like the salamander love is only superficial. On top of this, we don't get our weapons, skin color, or eye color as options. All my characters need to have helmets
The customisation needs to be opened up more
Let us be able to use the individual parts of the champion sets, colour them as we like and use them on any class except maybe the chest pieces because of the armour types and size differences
Let us be able to remove or apply emblems and decals to our helmets instead of having 6 unlockable helmets that just have slightly different emblems, it would be nice to be able to apply the survivor helmet's scratches and broken eye to any other helmet as well
Let us be able to colours capes and apply emblems
Let us be able to colours weapons
This is a game that should have amazing customisation

As of now I wholly expect horde mode to be the drop that has me quit this game and go back to playing the first space marine, where they didn’t have to nerf players for playing together.
i think what we need is just more level, more enemy type
So glad I got this game for Christmas man, no matter hate from the community or not, knowing I’ll be playing a banger that’s gonna keep blossoming is more than enough for me.

Tactical is definitely gonna get either Imperial Fists or Blood Angels.
I feel like being a salamander at least fits Scipius’ (the sniper marine’s) personality since he’s super respectful and friendly towards his teammates
The Spores need to be nerfed....
Why is the salamander going to sniper class who thought off that one ultra marine should have been tactical and slamader for hevey

Bruh sniper for salamander what were they thinking
Why didn't they give a second heavy skin for salamanders. As the ultramarine is locked out for some players
No.
So... again, meh.
I'm just glad that Raven Guard is getting an assault, along with the lightning claws release
I would like the missions to have an extraction point to fight towards than the abrupt end. A 4th battle brother. A librarian class. Secondaries should all be shared throughout and not locked to just a bolt pistol. A bolter shotgun would be amazing to add.
I'm not mad I'm disappointed I'll come back for horde mode nothing else the rate of content drops has went beyond pathetic.
A new difficulty so you can grind the same... very few... maps all over and over again. Yay. Hooray. I guess.
I am PRAYING they make a sanguinary guard for assault
Salamanders are always getting thrown under the bus
I gave up once I realised I have to play the game 6 times over just so I can look cool. Fuck that.
1:38 5 millions players means that the playerbase now outnumbers the actual in universe space marines roughly 5 to 1
I dont get why sniper like its such a bad pick it looks cool but sniper has nothing to do with fire and for the bolt rifle was a dumb pick they should have done tactical and who cares if heavy had 2 skins i dont even really like his ultra marine one anyways and theres only 6 classes but 9 legions there gonna have to have doibles at one point anyway
People over-reacting that they’re favorite class isn’t the salamanders champion skin.
So do we know when the champion pack comes out?
Definitely not a fan of the champion skins so far bulwark is the only one i ever seen get used anyways
Could you make a video ranking all the operations?
They need to make champion cosmetics available as individual customization items an not a blanket look. There are certain elements I would prefer to keep my own. Example: Bulwark Dark Angels champion helmet
On the one hand, the dev themselves said raven guard would have been obvious so I don't know why they picked salamanders
On the other hand, finally, a sniper skin that isn't ass
Salamdners are known for using hammer more than other chapter yes. Also what do they mean heavy was already taken? No one is forcing them to only have one heavy champion except themselves. Like what's their problem?
The ravengaurd is definitely going to be an assault class.
The game has so much potential imagine private lobbies for pvp with custome games, custome so you arent stuck to one class, map creator and file share it beat halo call of duty legacy
My problem is that the devs of space marine 2 aren’t listening to past complaints people have had they think that all they have to do is release a new update and everyone will be happy, sure people will be fine for a little bit but after that the complaints will just pop up again and the people complaining will just have more to be mad about and the cycle will continue unless 1 out of 2 things will happen 1: the game slowly dies as the devs continue to ignore us or 2: the devs start seeing the complaints people are having they will pay attention and they will improve the game and include things people have wanted maybe they’ll fix the servers and the load times while they’re at it
I'm so tired of doing a mission only to exfill and it freeze up or kicks me. Does anyone else have this problem so much time wasted
great, Raven Guard champion may get new lightning claws. I am exciting if they will release that.
I did over 10 operations last night. I still don't see the new chainsword skin.
Wish they'd fix fencing. Bulwark feels horrible now
Honestly champion cosmetics are weird. I dont hate the concept of them but id like it much more if they were chapter specific interchangeable armour pieces like the normal ones but they hold more value (harder to unlock, not that they literally cost more)
I’m most excited for the Corvus armor
Sniper salamander is for dealing with aeldari children at range
Timestamps?
I want the heavy champion to be available
I just wish they made assault in te missions work like it works in pvp and campaign
We're never getting any future Chaos cosmetics
I’m just waiting for all the people who aren’t happy with SM2 right now to discover that darktide is a thing and switch to it. The only reason why you’d play SM2 is because you love the soulslike style combat and you like being a space marine. Darktide’s superior in everything else
Blood angels champion needs to be for assault class

Making sniper a salamander was the worst idea they came up with.
8:16
Finally some good, fucking armor I can use with the only good helmet besides bulwarks. I only have one question.
WHERE IS MY MK8 SET?!?!
10:44
Hammer is the weapon of choice of Vulkan and his sons enjoy how it works with their physicall might.
11:21
Its infuriating for people who know lore and care about it. If it's not important for you than shut up.
12:47
I believe it's about certain loadout restrictions. Sidearms should all be available for everyone. Knife and power sword should be available for tactical and a few other things.
13:50
They should make a deathwatch expansion with chapter specific voice lines and a lot more...
14:10
Fuck chaos. The right question to Ask is WHY SO MANY ARMOR PIECES JUST REEK OF ULTRAMAR?!?!
15:16
Because people care about the lore and 40k Has one of, if not the, most passionet community centered around lore.
15:38
Preach brother. Just like me.
15:46
No.
16:08
Give it to the Raven Guard.
16:15
But it's not where it SHOULD be. There was so much potential for something better but NOOOOOOO.
I just want me to customize my Heretic Astartes. Curse to the Corpse Emperor!
2 seasons in 3 months. Pretty good pace. Hope the next 2 seasons are also in 3 months
Wonder if there will be different difficultys for survival mode
Sniper class for Salamanders Champion? Woof. Bad call.
It's not that big of a deal heavy is probably gonna be imperial fists or iron hands. This is still nice cuz of the dragon skin cape. Plus salamanders isn't one of the most popular founding chapters due to them being made into the cuddly reddit marines.
Me still waiting for dlc or expansion after the events of the main campaign 😔
