have to say, for a bunch of "amateurs" they have really set the bar high. This does look excellent! And I love seeing these smaller developer showcases, the ecosystem is strong but hearing about the smaller guys who are already doing great things is excellent!

After all, "amateur" really means done out of a passion or love - anyone who says it on its own means poor quality, etc is an idiot IMO.
As much as I like keeping my money in my wallet I believe that developers need to be suitably recompensed for their efforts in developing aircraft for the sim. Hats off to them for their effort I am sure it will be appreciated by many members of the sim community who are on a tight budget. Well done again Shane great relevant information. It's why you are appreciated by the community.

@@SimPilotMika If you were a young talented but inexperienced programmer trying to break into the flight sim industry what better reference could you have than involvement in a study level development. So I dont see this as a waste of talent but a great learning experience for the programmers and a stepping stone in their careers.
I 100% agree i would have paid for quite few of the projects that were advertised as free only for them to never come out.

I expected better of this channel. "THE BEST STUDY LEVEL AIRLINER and it's free" is pure click bait - it's not available, you haven't flown it, the WIP pictures are promising but that's all. I thought perhaps you'd flown the upcoming A310 or something.

What a beautiful aircraft. I wonder if they will do an MD-10 one day. I believe all FEDEX DC-10s were upgraded to MD-10S.
Tfdi is bringing a high-fidelity MD11 to MSFS
@@valet2972 Yes I know, but the MD-10 is different from the MD-11.
When I was a kid I would watch DC-10s taking off from my local airport and I absolutely loved them. The sound was amazing. Later we got lots of MD-11s. Again, an amazing aircraft.
Let's hope their MSFS counterparts will do them justice 😊
I wouldn't be surprised if the MD-10 panel was one of the selectable options.

Yeah my father was a boom operator on the KC-135. I have alot old film from many aircraft he refueled. Including a few Blackbirds. I've transfered the old film onto DVDs. It was old reel to reel film. Vietnam Era.

Although I don’t like this plane in real life I think its great to see a very realistic model for free in MSFS. I wish they would add the Lockheed L1011 Tristar into MSFS too as it would be awesome

Best “study level” airliner…. How do we know that when it’s not even out yet?
In hard times, where inflation is hitting new records, many simmers gonna appreciate this amazing study level plane for free. Also many simmers who usually dont buy any payware aircrafts can check for themselfs how exactly they are in example of A310, even it is free he could be easly sold for 60-70 eur

Although it looks like they've done a phenomenal job on the plane, I just can't get excited about airliners. I prefer 'low and slow' flying in GA aircraft. Thanks for the vid!

Great video mate. I'm really looking forward to this release, especially the DC-10. As a daily bus driver I know I'll enjoying just carrying a load of nice, quiet, well-behaved cargo for a trip instead of the usual noisy pax. Hehe!
Just as an additional note - although the work is planned freeware, because the developers just enjoy what they're doing, anybody that gets some value from their work could easily fire them over a donation via PayPal or similar when it's released. Same goes for all freeware.

Interesting how alleged "best study level" is a fuel hog and very in-effecient by today standards which is why they aren't used much. Also tail mounted engines are a PITA to service.
“Best study level” has nothing to do with anything you said. It deals with details, flight characteristics, cockpit layout, etc being designed to mimic the real life aircraft. Nothing to do with anything else.
Some of us prefer to fly the classics that we saw, read about, or flew in when we were younger.
This is not "study level". You don't understand what's a study level.
