hi everyone at Periscope Films and hi everyone else yes like most of what you play I injoy these old travel video I found all of this interesting i found one thing funny that I got kick out of the new American built red mercury station wagon :-D in this that was used to get them all over France well have goodnight everyone at Periscope Films and goodnight everyone else :-)
@Jayden k all video I go to old car brochures online, and doing research I know that the red station wagon is either a 1965 or 1966 AMC Classic or Ambassador wagon.
@@frothe42 hi Frederick Rothe lll and sorry it took me so long to get back to you i only just turned on my phone and thank for you're text and information I guess I should have took a better look still it was American made I imagine there we're not a lot of American made car's in France at the time while I know that there was Ford in Britain by the midd late 40's there we're British design and styled and made for Britain and Europe in 1920's and 30s Ford's we're exported from America to Britain as I have seen a ton of British films from the late 1920's and 30's on up though the 40's 50's 60's and 70's etc well thank you again and you have a goodnight and you have great Friday and a great weekend to Frederick lll :-)
@@colewebb5569 It is rare to see American vehicles in Europe 🇪🇺 especially in the sixties. Even this AMC wagon would be considered large at the time even when GM, Ford and Chrysler had larger vehicles. You very rarely see an AMC in foreign countries because they were smaller than the Big Three at the time!
@@frothe42 hi and good morning Frederick Rothe lll and thank you for you're text reply yes American motors was a small company that sometimes struggled it did last longer than some of the other small company's the fact that they owned jeep helped American motors was also the company that was the first to have all wheel drive an ideal that got so copied by so many other car companies as far as it being hard to find American car's like in the 60's well Ford knew that American built car's would not really work in A lot Europe with places with small tite street's plus the high price for gas plus placeses like Britain that put a tax motor size so that's why Ford had Ford Britain and Ford Angela and Ford of Germany etc design style and make a car that would work Europe and appeal to Europe taste as far as the price of gas in the 60's here in America gas was 25 cents for a gallon of gas Europe and Japan not sure but think in the 60's was 7 or 8 dollars a gallon ouch right now gas here is about 5 something to 6 dollars a gallon summer price California USA where i live how much do you pay for gas ? well you have great Friday and coming weekend Frederick Rothe :-)

It isn't a Mercury but a AMC Classic or Ambassador wagon.
