Yeah, that's true. You can still do it IF you do not show your opponent that you have the intention of doing it, so they do not nail you like the guy on this video OR if you are ready for them to try to exploit (you need to pretry decent at fight for both but usually more for the second one)
@@Leo.23232 Of course you can. I specifically said the way you do in boxing. It's different. In boxing, you don't have to worry about a counter knee or kick. In Muay Thai or kickboxing, you have to be cognizant of those counters that are not prevalent in boxing.

Haha one of my favorite feints is to feint the right lowkick (just do the jump with the right foot) and then throw an overhand. Lands very, very often. So its other way round feint leg throw punch but quite the same principle
It’s not risky, over slipping and dropping guard is what messes you up. You don’t need to slip every punch either usually a small step backwards is good enough to get off range from your opponent’s strikes according to my Kru whose been in the art for 40+ years. 🙏🏽
It doesn't looks like the head slip movement is the culprit. It's his left hand is trapped by the punch. Thereby, not allowing a deeper head slip that would have escaped the follow up kick.
Yeah, don't do it poorly. I wouldn't ask the boxing guy about leg kicks and I'm not going to ask the muay thai guy about slipping punches. Many years ago my JKD teacher taught me that. You cannot slip punches in Muay Thai the way you do in boxing. You expose yourself to kicks and knees.

I love how pros notice these details pretty quickly. I notice patterns when I fight but it’s usually after three times at least
You’ll get quicker and quicker at recognizing opponents habits.
Just keep at it.
For sure, that guy saw that hole really quickly
Most of the time they have their coaches and the whole team analyzing the opponent and give him strategies for fighting.
Slipping is fine you just can't lose sight of complete defense... hands and legs.
Tell that to Samart Payakaroon (GOAT of Muay Thai), Somrak Khamsing among few of the other OG's who used headmovement on a daily!
Doesn’t say it can’t be used. Its just dangerous.

Always true 😊
Bro was hyped up after dodging, forgetting that his opponent was still standing. He could have blocked that.
All he had to do was keep his hands up

I never thought of using the cross off a forearm block to obfuscate my rear head kick. Brilliant.
