Love this. The blowing snow makes such interesting shapers on everything. I love the progression of car coverage. From wow that car looks weird shaped, to where's my car? Lol. Great mini documentary.
Really happy you enjoyed it! Yes there was so much snow it totally changed the shape of many of those cars haha. And at first I didn't even realize there was a car underneath all that snow until the guy put his shovel down looking all dejected towards the end there haha. That was definitely a storm to remember.
I remember watching a video you uploaded of footage from your house cam - speeded up if I remember rightly. I love driving in extreme conditions, as I told my mother once "All the nervous people stay at home, all the idiots are in a ditch and I like driving sideways!"
Haha yeah while I do enjoy driving in storms, it does get tricky at times in Blizzards for sure. Not my overall favorite thing to do, but it's part of it so you just take it slow. And I also didn't see that car under there until the guy put his shovel down haha! You are correct, I put together a time lapse that I sped up of the 2006 blizzard, and also did one for this 2016 storm as well.
It seems to me we get a historic blizzard every 10 years on year '6'; 1996, 2006, 2016. Will we see another one in 2026? Similarly, we get record-breaking cold every 10 years also, 1994-95, 2004-05, 2014-15...sooo again in 2024-25??
It would appear that way at least the last 20 to 30 years. Either way at this point I'll just take a decent snowstorm lol! So far we haven't even had any measurable snow in nyc, and it's already January 21st. There are some signs that that could change this coming wednesday, but with the pattern we're in it may be some time before we have any decent snow threats. Thanks for watching!
@Scott McPartland - Extreme Weather Photography if we don't get a decent snow this winter, I want an early spring. That's pretty much what happened in 2012. Barely any snow all winter, 40s and 50s in February, then we got record warmth in March with 60s and 70s

@@josephnyy86 agreed! I remember the trees bloomed crazy early that spring, basically in March lol.
