Check it out! The dun dun players are the djembe players. It's only three people who are playing this rhythm. I've watched it about five times before I noticed it. Wow!
This is not a set ensemble - Mahiri Fadjimba-Keita and I conceived the project and asked Menes Yahuda to join us - so the ensemble was for this project only, although we plan on doing "sequels" with different rhythms. Thanks for the good vibes!
Mahiri and I had the idea for the video and invited our dear friend Menes to complete the picture (there will be sequels with different material). So, this is not an offical group to answer your question.......taylor
i happen to know taylor. he is not white, he is mixed. and he is an excellent teacher who i have studied under. so dont be rude and judge people before you even meet him.
i think the beats are really good. Why there is always some idiot commenting on races and color? Isnt there school in their country to teach them about racist?
What group is this? Is that Sekou Soumeh in the middle? As far as the "white guy" comments, I know that anyone who brings up shit like that has no exposure to the music or any idea what the hell they are talking about.
One of my favorite renditions on UA-cam

Oh, I just met Taylor at a drum/dance thing in Indiana. He's a great guy and a killin' drummer!
Nice. Very clear solo. Thanks for posting!
I love this piece. The rythm though sounds more like Gidamba than soli. Keep up the good work.
Just like sports, if you can play , you can play! Leave it at that!
man... this guy RIPS !!!!
