I literally had a breakdown yesterday after I put my toddler down for her nap. felt like a horrible wife, and mother and homemaker. Feeling so burnt out and overwhelmed. The internal dialogue was so horrible. I am grateful for this channel.
You are not alone as many have feelings just like you! Life and its responsibilities can be tough, but you'll get through it. Don't be too hard on yourself, and never put yourself down. Think of all the good things that u do and how God blessed u with a beautiful child who loves and needs u. Pray and trust in God that you've got this, you''re good! He will give u the strength you need. He is your rock, trust in him! :)

A bit of wisdom from a Nana, if you don't mind. What you are feeling is normal, unless you have extra stress right now, ailing loved one, financial stress, etc, that are adding to your stress. Give yourself some grace and time to rest during the day. Little ones are hard! When she naps, you nap, or read a book, watch some TV.....If you have a safe place outside for her to play, fenced-in, etc, take her and a few toy outside, grab yourself an iced tea, and sit outside with her. She'll play by herself, and you can relax. Give yourself some little breaks during your busy day. Momma's deserve it.
My heart goes out to you friend. It feels so overwhelming doesn’t it!? Those terrible thoughts creep in and you start talking to yourself in a very negative and unkind way. I’ve been there, I think so many mums have! I’m not telling you that to minimise your experience but so that you don’t feel alone or like you are the only one. The enemy loves to isolate us and make us feel shame. Try and fill your gaze and hearing with truth to repeat to yourself when that unkind voice is talking loudly to you.
At my worst all I could say to myself is ‘be still and know that I am God’ over and over, that was it! But it helped quieten my heart snd helped me focus on the truth and my faith and that God, who is bigger than all this, is in control.
I know you are doing a great job, you wouldn’t be concerned about it if you weren’t a great mum! It just that it’s such a big snd difficult role to fill and there are so many expectations on us ( from society, family members and even ourselves!) and it’s so relentless and exhausting. So don’t be surprised if you feel the pressure and feel like it’s too much sometimes. It kind of is too much, we never reach the end of the house work, people always need more food, children always want more attention, you never get to the end of the to do list. It’s overwhelming! But the goal isn’t to do it all ourselves, we do what we can, when we can, in the Lords strength. His expectations for us are simple compared to the burdens of this world. I encourage you that you are doing a great job, you are not alone, God is pleased with what you are doing for your family and He loves you. He is there to help us if we just ask him.
I’m praying for you this morning. And I send you a hug and my love because you are precious. And I often feel the things you feel. ❤

Being a homemaker is the best thing that has happened for me. I have fallen into the trap of comparing myself and strive everyday in knowing God has a unique purpose for my life. Thanks for the inspo.

So many of us fall into the "I can't" trap set by the enemy. We lie to ourselves saying that we don't have the power to change, to set down our phones or tablets and do something else, but we really can do anything within God's will, because Christ strengthens us. Just start small. I took your advice and fixed my hair so I don't look like a wild woman when my husband comes to move me to the living room. :) We can. Thank you, Lord, for our many blessings - your grace is enough.

I have been wanting and aching to delete my facebook for the longest while now and I think that this video was what I needed to finally do that. I always look at what others have and what their lives are like and It just makes me feel angry and makes me feel like I deserve to have those things that others are more fortunate to have. I need to feel more thankful and grateful. I have a husband, we're healthy, we love each other, and we have food, a comfortable life, and a roof over our heads. This is the second video of yours I have viewed and the second time I have teared up. The message found me.

Thank you for this inspiring video. Comparison is so harmful to us. I deleted my instagram because I was falling in to the comparison trap and it was making me so sad. Now, if i want to be online, I watch videos like these, from Christian youtubers that do my soul good instead of bringing me down. Bless you.

This was so good! I woke up to a sink of dishes (I work full time outside the home and was just too tired last night) and knocked them out while watching this video. I reminded myself, I’m fortunate to have a job that helps provide for my family and I’m lucky to have that wild bunch down the hall.
Now off to wake them and get us all out the door!

PS Ironically, I had stepped away from your main channel after I had to go back to work, because it made me sad. I still want to be a homemaker and felt pain from comparison when I had to the home. Now I can see that as long as I’m not comparing and look at it as sharing, there may be room to return😊

so lovely! thank you for today's meditation. Your home is beautiful but I have to admit I feel panic whenever I see your staircases. I can just imagine one of the children falling through the open spaces!! Guess I'm just an old lady!!
Ha! They do great on them. The one year old learned how to walk in this house and he goes up and down wonderfully. I don’t think they can fit through anyways.

Thank you for this video. You have such a good point about being convicted by the Lord to do better. Ive fallen into the trap of if I had this and this i would be a better mom or wife or honemaker. But I've been convicted lately that I've fallen short on my time with the Lord and that is whats missing.

I'm having a hard time. I'm a 39 year old widow with an almost 4 year old son. I have to work. It's so.hard, I have support in terms of care for my son. But I'm drowning emotionally and mentally.

In my country we are in an election year, and about 6 weeks ago I suddenly just reached my limit being confronted at all hours of the day with ridiculous sarcastic mean spirited social media posts about things that I actually had no interest in. So I've weeded out all the accounts of things I was skipping anyway or didn't want to see, and started using the ignore/hide function to train social media platforms what I wanted to see. The only platform I have had absolutely no success in is Twitter - so that one is probably going to be uninstalled.

It s really hard to senthe aboundance of your own life and not compare when you are facing a big trial. You know you should embrace your cross, you even see blessing, but deep down you wish your life were different

What if your husband makes a standard for you and the children? And makes you practice NFP against your judgment.
In a biblical context, that’s what’s supposed to happen. That’s why it’s so important we teach our children to find godly spouses. I think oftentimes we fail in this area and push our children to find wealthy, successful spouses. If we raise our children to hold the Bible next to the person they maybe want to marry and ask yourself, (specifically a girl looking for a husband) can I see myself being obedient to him? Do we share the same values? What are his thoughts on NFP or not? What does the Bible say? Granted, people do change. We live in a world of sin and broken people. But take heart because what others don’t see or know how we feel, God knows and He sees. Scripture also tells us that if a believing woman marries an unbelieving man, her obedience to Christ and to her husband could be the thing that leads him to Christ.

I will definitely stress that point to my girls! I definitely wasn’t a traditional Catholic spouse myself in our early beginnings and we didn’t know what the roles were supposed to be in our marriage despite taking marriage prep and such. Or what to look for in terms of solid biblical spouse material. But I can use the wisdom of other wiser Christians and pass it on to my children!❤️ Please say a quick prayer for us if you have a chance.
