So if you can’t tackle a player in the air just jump in the air every time to score a try
Aaron Hartshorn 😂 100 IQ
This rule makes no sense because all diving tries are gonna be allowed now
Do you need it spelled out to you? It is in regards to contesting a kick.
@@craigyoung3994 ummm. Yeah we do, we're rugby league fans 🙄
This means they need to master skipping down the field. Only run after the skip has broken through
I SAY NO TO THE SUGGESTION THAT THE GAME BE PLAYED IN QUARTERS so that broadcasters can get more advertising in and therefore pay more for broadcast rights!
Leave the game alone!
Why not? If the game can appeal even more to the broadcasters that'll bring more money. It can also bring a more tactical aspect where the coach can influence the game even more with more communication to the overall team
When are we bringing pads in? Seriously trash suggestion.
Might as well watch fairies in armour play NFL. Bring back the scrum and shoulder charge with 4 game compulsory suspension for contact with the head
Scrums i agree bit shoulder charge is to risky
4 game suspension for shoulder charge and life time cte for player smacked around the head with a shoulder. Not worth it.
Great comment. The problem with the shoulder charge is that they never (rarely) gave a penalty/card for shoulder charges to the head. The should bring back scrums and let legitimate body only shoulder charges back. Yes people will say it's risky but it's less risky than a spear tackle.
Bring back the biff
I can’t believe that rugby has been such a good game for so long and we’re changing heaps of rules just like that
20/40 experiment in the world 9s was magnificent, its gonna be a great addition to the game
I've always liked the 40/20 since a kid and would like the 20/40, promotes a better kicking game by the halves I feel halves shouldn't be just about a good running or passing game. It could help the weaker teams on the international level too that struggle in the forwards with size for yardage .
Youser57 you right
Good point Mark Taylor.
awesome cant wait for 2020
There is no point of the scrum really make it contested
The beauty of sport is feeling ripped off, so that when you rip someone else off it's a great day - Someone who doesn't watch sports.
Great way to lose more fans to different sports I swear no wonder stadiums are empty and triple m are giving tickets away for grand finals 😂😂😂😂
the tech doesn't exist to detect a forward pass?! What rubbish
ThvtSyDneYlyf3th0 yeah that was hilarious Rugby union have done it for years
So if you challenge a knock-on and there is no clear and obvious video evidence that you didn't' knock on, the referee's decision remains? So it's dependent on the quality/angles of video replays?
I feel like the game will be to easy if you can’t tack in the air plus the teams can just use it to there advantage
Abolish golden point or make it golden try. You get 8 or 9 minutes at the end of a drawn game where teams are setting for a field goal (lumber up the middle, take a shot on the 4th or 5th), then another 5 minutes each way of the same. BORING! make extra time golden try, maybe with drop offs each 5 minutes.
expell the salary cap to grow the game and retain talent
Still going down the wrong path. It wastes time and takes away advantages when a team is put Under the pump. Cameron Smith won't mind because his an expert at letting his side get their breath back
So if you're successful in your challenge "you keep it"?
Does that mean you get another challenge?
Yes
Yes, makes sense really
@@jonadams894
So one team could end up challenging 10 times or more a game.
And the other side could be unsuccessful with their first challenge in the 3rd minute and not get another one.
@@crazyprayingmantis5596 if they successfully challenge then yes. If they are wrong they get one shot and risk losing any further challenges
Most of the new rules are for trainers
No, just Alan Langer 😉
It’s an enormous disgrace to the game that in 2020 there need to be rules regarding trainers ON THE PADDOCK! Get tf out of it!
they need to take some notes for the rugby union refs
Jackson Mathers facts. They’re Straight to point. No nonsense. And players respect them.
Referees have more support from the governing bodies in RU, it seems to me.
If scrums are contested. ....Backs have more room ....more zip.....simples
Sounds like I'll be watching super league 2020
Penalised players should have to do laps of the field ( 10 in the bin is too harsh and the player is fresh when they get back on the field) players could sprint the laps to get back on but they would be fatigued bringing the little blokes back in the game or they could walk the laps hi5ing fans signing autographs ect
Mark Obrien
Mark, that is the stupidest thing I’ve ever read.
hello
Wow
i will say meh
Bring back the shoulder charge you duds.
Replay of the trainer intofers redo grandfinal
NRL and AFL are the only sports, that I know of, where rules are reviewed every year. The constant changing of the rules does nothing for the game other than make it more complicated and allow more stoppages and time wasting. The constant tinkering with the rules has taken the power of the ref away and now they rely on the bunker to make decisions. A challenge system only adds to that. The 20/40 rule is a good idea. Get rid of scrums. If a ball is dropped and it is deemed a knock on the possession automatically goes to the that were not in possession who then have to play the ball and they will have 7 tackles. When a team kicks the ball out of play they are attempting to slow the game down by wasting time getting to the scrum. What should happen then is the team who were not in possession get a play the ball on the 20m infield line at the point the ball went out of play. The only exceptions would be at the 40/20 or 20/40 situation. The effect of this is to keep the ball in play and reduce time wasting setting scrums.
It's Rugby League not NFL, Racing or whatever. 20000 fans? Pretty sure there is more than 20000 fans that enjoy rugby league. Once again in Australia a minority gets the vote not the majority. Can't even get 2 referees to agree on decisions. We have a netballer, cricketer, a journalist commentating on the rules of rugby league.
Dont like the 20/40. 40/20 is enough (even tho I never liked it still) We just dont need more of these retarded rules. I just beleive if you kick the ball out, you shouldnt get it back. Its a hand over. Infact changing the 40/20 to 20/20 I would approve.
I been saying for YEARS AND YEARS.. Get the Beeping trainers off the beeping fields during play!! ? You dont see in soccer matches, trainers coming onto the fields. Only people allowed on the field should be players and officials. I dont get why this is so hard. F the trainers off. What happened in the grand final is WHY I been saying this all along.
Mid air tackles is kind a touchy one. I can see why they want it for player safety.
Challenge system for Referess ? Like cricket ? hmm dont know what to think atm. Bunker gets plenty wrong it might as well just be left to the onfield ref. Feel like I am against it
Yo
BRING BACK SHOULDER CHARGE
Noice
Get rid of the scrum,it serves no purpose these days. Some say it’s a rest period for players, what’s the interchange for.The halfback now just feeds the scrum at the locks feet. Its a joke
No. Bring back real scrums and competition for the ball.
First
First in
Rugby union won again
20/40 waste of time. Scrum change waste of time.
I think there should be a 50/10. Its like a 40/20 but its harder to get. Your kicking it the distance
BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA!!
I go for Sydney rooster
Only one of them? Which one?
