This video is oddly specific... And yet, is exactly what I'm trying to figure out :) I've literally got a 700 being delivered today, but if it doesn't work out and I can find one, the 3000 is also at the top my list - but also the cap of what I can spend. Problem with the 3k is the availability.
@@thedaingeon overall the 700 looked a lot cooler in it's color tone as well, what color settings where you using for the test? Feels like the 700 could use a little warmth it's shadows and skin tones. One reason I'm looking at either of these is because of the color options so with a little calibration I think these could get much closer than what's on display here. At that point the only thing left is contrast ratios and color depth. I already tried contacting Benq to see if the 700 was p3 rated or just 709 and couldn't get a specific answer from them. No doubt the 3000i is going to be a bit warmer with deeper details in the shadows if the the 700 isn't because the 3000i definitly is. From you example, the 3000i was warmer with more colors on display overall - like in the trees on the road footage.

I really LIKED the new 2022 Hisense PX1-PRO TriChroma Laser, if i didnt buy VAVA CHROMA back in launch day , i would defiantly buying that Hisense, the PIC is outstanding👌
On BenQ's site it says you can send in the X3000i to get new LED lamps, but doesn't mention a price. I use about 5,000 hours a year. So, in Eco mode I'd get 6 years out of this. In 6 years would I want whats new or to replace the lamps? I don't like buying something that becomes a paperweight. I prefer it to remain equity even if diminished. Still unsure on this projector or the BenQ TK700STi. Also, considering the Optoma UHD35STx. I just want 1080p/240hz from my PC. Currently have the BenQ 2150ST for 5 years and love it.
BenQ has much better customer service in my opinion. Most importantly how large is your screen and far away is your screen from your seating? In 6 years projectors will be very different. Have you thought about waiting for the HT4550i?
@@thedaingeon A painted wall in my living room no screen. Currently my image is about in the 165 inch neighborhood. Projector is 8 ft. 7 inches away from wall. Couch is 11 ft 7 inches away from wall. I prefer the flexibility that short throws offer. As for as the HT4550i goes, its to laggy in the gaming department for me. "The lag time is approximately 17.9ms at 1080p 120Hz." That should be in the 8 ms range. That's unacceptable for competitive gaming. Especially, when considering my 5 year old projector can do 1080p/60 at 16 ms. I appropriate your help tho.
I just found this on the model you suggested. This is BenQ at CES "This projector is pretty darned brand new, they did not have a demo with a PC. However BenQ was pretty emphatic in noting that this is not a gaming PC projector; it is neither designed or marketed for that application, this is a projector that's for watching content like movies and streaming shows and such."
great vid sir, from my point of view i can't see a big difference between both projector except the brightness make tk700 little wash out. Anyways, due to x3000i have 4k upscale function, would you can make a test for this one ?
TK700 has better blacks, both are gaming projectors so if you’re looking for gaming on a budget use one of these. Otherwise BenQ makes a ton of projectors for movies like the HT5550, tk850i etc that would have even better black levels but not good for gaming
@@thedaingeon Yeah but I wonder if the black levels on those models really is better ? have you seen them in person? I have a JVC N7 and to be honest the black floor is nothing special which is why I'm looking to downgrade

The TK700sti is a short throw projector. I never tested the Optoma uhd38 but the tk700sti is a great device and comes with a streaming media stick QS01 so that is a nice feature. Make sure you check out the TK700 also since it is a standard throw projector but doesn’t come with the media stick. With that said I would bet the tk700 and uhd38 are both neck and neck. It seems that the TK700 is not set up very acurate. Its far on the red side look at grey areas, they seem reddish. Blue seems a bit low but here the x3000i is king anyways. To compare brightness it would be necessary to balance colours on both of them although the x3000i seems to be set up quite good.
I really like them both honestly. The LED of the X3000i is great and turns on fast but the contrast of the TK700 is really good too along with the form factor. Hope you subscribe!

Just picked up the tk700 Black Friday deal off the benq website. $700 difference compared to the 3000i. If the 3000i was a bit more future proof 4k@120 then would have gotten it hands down.
plus, I don't like that you can't slap in new bulbs yourself on the X3000i. On the website it says you can contact the service department about it. Very interested in how much it costs, but if they aren't forth coming with the price, then it could be rather steep.

HI. Simple question. Which has deeper black levels? Or would you recommend a different Ben Q model for blacks?

The TK700sti is a short throw projector. I never tested the Optoma uhd38 but the tk700sti is a great device and comes with a streaming media stick QS01 so that is a nice feature.
