Habs fan here, and I love both the reverse retros, even if a lot of people feel they're cursed. For the Expos version I would have LOVED if they'd made the whole thing powder blue with red and dark blue striping down the side seams/underarm area like the old Expos shirts. And then put Montreal across the front in old-time baseball script complete with an underline that looks like a baseball bat. It would have been bad-ass.
Nice collection! I got the Andrei Markov - A - red with white lace reebok official replica when Reebok got the nhl contract in the 2010's. I want Kovalev as well, 2 great habs of my generation.
The shield on the arm of the Rocket jersey says "Le Rocket" not "Laval Rocket" and there is a 9 under it that is present on every jersey whatever the number, it's a Maurice Richard reference.
Hello from Montreal, thank you for what you do. Do have any original players jersey? Other than Carey’s? You talked about the Marons maybe they should create another 3rd jersey in that Color. I do like the reverse jerseys. Funny I’ve been a Habs fan since 1975 but I never owned a Canadians jersey, we never wore jerseys to the game and even playing in a beer league or even road hockey for that matter. This is something that started in European soccer to introduce new shirt designs to sell more, to make more money. You couldn’t buy a Lafleur, Robinson, Savard, Dryden or any other player from any team. If there was a jersey to find and have it would be a Steve Shutt 1976 jersey with the Olympic crest on it. Take care.
That red jersey is just a iconic classic like the Yankees pinstripes. the funny part about the centennial release is that everyone was happy to see the old jerseys make a comeback until we saw them on TV. just atrocious, same goes for the expos throwback. for the bruins centennial, i'm hoping they will have a "legends practice" like montreal did in 09. i would really like to see that, having the former bruins take the ice : moog, orr, bourque, neely, chara, bergeron, savard.
The Bruins have 2 alumni teams I believe that practice and play charity games all over New England. I don't think Orr skates anymore but I know Bourque and Chara and others played charity games last year. And they also have a team that does charity games with lesser known alumni. I'm pretty sure they have some things planned for the Centennial.
@@angushiltz4880 alumni is something else. in 09, even Ken Dryden, Serge Savard and many old timers laces them up for a quick skate (Dryden even took some shots). just a quick skate is more than enough to create the magic
As a Hab, I like them all. I especially like the hand drawn CH with the globes on the arms and those 2 Carey Price home/away, very sharp those 2 Price.
i got myself a retro 50s away goalie jersey with plantes name on it, added some red dye splashes on it and its on a mannequin with my replica plante mask and is my homage to the first time he wore it after bathgate got him in the face with a backhand shot
I have the current Fanatics Carey Price home sweater and a white CCM replica from 1988,which I both love. My very favorite Habs jersey is the red they wore into the 70s with the all-white collar, and the TV numbers inside the blue sleeve stripes. As for the Reverse Retro, I love the dark blue, and wouldn't mind seeing it as an alternate. The powder blue was poorly executed, imo. Expos jerseys had much more red in them, and the Habs RR only had red on the logo. I'd have had red trim instead of white on the blue stripes, and red trim on the numbers instead of blue. Instead,it just looked so nondescript and boring. At first, I wasn't crazy about the Winter Classic jersey, but I really appreciate it now, thanks to you,Shannon 👍. Go Habs Go! 🔴⚪🔵⚪🔴
As a Habs fan I love the reverse jerseys especially the first one. Also one thing I don't like is the no stripe on away and I know you said you do like lol
It's from the team's official name "Club de Hockey Canadien" I think the C is supposed to stand for both club and hockey. As for the history of the A, early on the Canadiens were owned by the Club Athlétique Canadien (that's what CAC stands for on the barber pole jersey), but eventually the hockey club became a separate entity from the CAC and adopted the CH crest.
The Habs knocked it out of the park with their Centennial jerseys! You probably already know, but the Bruins have announced 3 different Centennial jerseys. I’m sure the pressure is high😅
Hehe.. I like the reverses too.. just too much superstition.. even when half the teams on crutches(and baby bibs).. blame in the jerseys. ;p I like wearing the baseball red habs fan jersey (majestic) since I don't see many wearing it.
I love the colours of the reverse retros, but they absolutely cannot win wearing them. I know that these past few seasons haven't been great, but specifically every game they wore the reverse retros they just lost lol
I didn't care for the light blue colour scheme. Being a fan as far back as the original 6, their team history melds well with 'if it isn't broken, don't fix it.' Perhaps as well as being an original 6 team, many related to the team name & logo as representing Canadians (Canadiens), at least I did.
The fanbases merged. English Montreal and French Montreal. So yes they can wear it. Actually as hockey's birthplace they should do jerseys for every Montreal franchise that won the Cup in the pre-NHL days: Victorias, Wanderers, Montreal Hockey Club, Shamrocks
@@humankirk9196 I have to respectfully disagree. They merged for financial reasons. The french team stayed. It would be wrong for fans to see their team wear the rivals jersey.
I love both the Reverse retros for them, and the expos one is my favorite. That light blue is such a nice look.

It may have been better with the authentic Expos striping, but it's still not bad.
@@NickAdams1981 Oh, don't get me wrong. I still bought one.
The first Reverse Retro is an absolute marvel, I love it.
Perfect third jersey
I think that shade of blue is beautiful on a jersey
I would like to get one to complete my jersey collection. I currently have the home, away and the reverse retro 2.0
I rate it a 0/4
@@Basinrailsgood for you.
The Canadiens Reverse Retro 1.0 jersey is a beauty their Reverse 2.0 jersey didn't really like it that much

These jersey (and occasionally sweater) videos are great. More than anything they get me thinking about hockey history. Bring on 23-24!

Good on TEG for holding down the Fort while THG is on vacay. If he’s going to take bloody credit for everything, he might as well put the work in. 😂
I hope TEG is feeding the bunnies while THG is gone

The barber Pole is a throw back too
Yup the 100 year sleeper barber pole jersey.
That sky blue jersey is beautiful
Natural wool would be better for Han acrylic but the point about the sweater stands
2020-2021 away jersey my favorite :O
Ok that thumbnail jersey is 🙌🏻💯 Montreal is next level
Great Jersey, MTL. There team collections are really enjoyable videos.
I honestly prefer the "Open C" logo. To me the ideal Canadiens jersey would be that with the laces, if that makes sense...
I love the Montréal Canadiens jersey history. I do not understand the hate for the Reverse Retros. I’ve seen so much of it from their fans.
I would use the barber pole jersey to change the oil in my car.
I'll predict in the next 2 years, Shannon gonna buy a Suzuki jersey, especially since Bergeron retired
I'm sure this is a stupid question, but why is there an H in the middle of the C? Why is there an A in the middle of only one of them?

I'm in a very small minority of fans that very much enjoy the look of the 2nd Reverse Retro and even prefer it over the 1st RR 😂
Classic. Not the best, but a top 5 iconic sports logo.
Can we get a Andrei Markov Career vid??
I am the proud owner of Dach's signed pride jersey! :)

the maple leaf is a french canadien symbol.

I really do like the Canadiens' jerseys. But no matter what they do to the "C" as a Bruins fan it will always look like a toilet seat to me.
The spoked B logo has always looked like a trash can lid to me
The Habs have been around forever and they still have one of the most boring jersey histories. Light blue jersey is a swing and a miss.
