High skill ceiling is a bit much... The game allows for skilled plays and it has some stuff to took into consideration, but it's far from a high skilled game.
Yo, is it just me or does degrey just completely negate all of Quince's ambiguity? I think the ghost always looks at the real Quince even when you call out Da Boiz
@@santa5628 It seems like the meta will remain the same because of how simplistic it is, but then the meta develops faster than hair on a newborn's head. It confuses me so much
I think the meta develops so quickly partly because the game is getting FAR more attention rn. Most fighting games have a similar difference between the skill ceiling and skill floor, it's just that the floor is lower here without negating the ceiling.
Quince has 0 winning matchups...against someone who is theoretically machinelike in their ability to recognize reality. Quince makes matchups positive for a round or two with brutal mindgames and confusion.
You asked how to deal with Geiger Clockwork Super and the easiest method that mitigates it for everyone is to keep jumping back, and then just block when you need to for time spirals. You jumping up and down makes the clock go in a sort of zig zag pattern and pulls it upward more, making it take longer to get to you on the ground, so it usually won't actually reach you if you're full screen.
Bro i just watched the first match but this is why I fucks with you. You're hella humble about how much of a hoss you are at these games. Love the content bro. Keep kicking ass!
Something that I’ve found super cool from watching all these top players play is their individuality and expression despite the relatively limited movesets in this game. I remember an earlier DeGrey player going for j.C into grab, which the DeGrey player in this vid didn’t use. I also noticed players using different OSs to beat Quince’s B mixes, which is something small but still there.
I came here expecting to see some straight murder like what happened with the rank 5 guy, but you actually did really well against him. Good fights man.
I fought someguy yesterday who is im the top 100 in the world !! Im only Living Legend rank and it put me up against and Ultra Instinct Sign! Its was a fun match none the less!

Strange I played against someone that used that ghost assist so much better n more annoyingly. 🤔great gameplay. I don’t enjoy the pace of this game for myself but I love watching this guy play! 🔥🔥 faithfully watching this channel
Ikr? I don't know why, but the characters look is unappealing and ugly. Love the game but I admit that this is one of his flaws. Pd: DeGray is similar to Slayer of Guilty Gear, but Slayer is way more handsome xd
@@AloisLoverBara it's because it's based on a card game that wanted to be street fighter but couldn't use the license. While Sirlin made a setting, at the same time the characters were references to street fighter's roster. On top of that, none of his tabletop games have truly good illustrators/a cohesive art direction, so it's really a shaky foundation. The graphic style doesn't help much, but while in movement it's fine. It should've needed an overhaul, even if he wanted to keep the worldbuilding he's done. But, you know, indie game.
It's designed by David sirlin to be an accessible fighting game. I'm playing usfiv and it's really good but why is so f## difficult to even link two punches? While this game could really be way more entertaining to people who don't want to spend days in training mode
It does look like total shit. Some of the character ideas and moves are cringe and many of the voices are frigging annoying. “Cyan, Magenta... Yellow!” is the best example on all counts... I’m guessing it plays ok if you can get past all that. (I can’t)
@@zingapore4007 The arcsys games can run pretty well on PC since the artstyle is the main reason why they look so good. Otherwise, I think you can try KI, but that might be more demanding (definitely turn off their ridic particle effects). What other fighting game do you like?
As a Quince player I definitely have to disagree with him on the low end of the tier list. He's in his own tier. Quince is playing chess in a fighting game. He's only as good as your ability to think multiple spaces ahead.
Rook's walk and some of his moves are super slow, so he has a really hard time getting in. Obviously a good player can still crush with Rook, but you have to work so much harder than most other characters.
You played them very casually. It seemed like he was just waiting for you do throw out the same things. You threw the match with the fish guy for sure tho. Difference between watching and playing though. Good effort
This game has potential to be an amazing game only if they enable all the modes. They should take notes from Blue Mammoth Games (Brawlhalla), everything is free the only thing that's not free is the skins and crossover fighters. If Sirlin Games do this then it's a start of something beautiful.
I'm not sure thats financially viable, the characters and skins in Brawhalla are infinitely cheaper to produce and balance because their movesets are very similar and the character models/animations are very simple. And FS being 3v3 doesn't make sense to lock out the characters or every F2P player would just play pretty much the same team.
The game just went f2p. All characters are free for online play and practice mode. Local play and arcade mode are premium features as well as some other things.
You see, this is what happens when you make games so simple, the skill gap can never be really big. The second best player in this game can be beaten fairly easy for what's worth it. Now imagine facing the second best player in street fighter... You wouldn't even have time to breathe and definitely wouldn't win even a round. I'm not saying that reducing the skill gap is bad, just that not every game should do this, which is a ongoing discussion in the fighting game community.
High level FS is pretty crazy for how simple the game is
@Nate its free on ps4 if you have it
**insert onimaru*
It's why I love the game. Sirlin wanted to make a game that was accessible to beginners and still a valid tournament game, and it seems like he did.
