Polly Kerr Islam does permit Muslims to take non believers as friends however it's not recommended and what's wrong with that? CIVY the world of Islamic books is rich and diverse, can you narrow down for me, your interest in Islam so I may find it easier to recommend something for you to read?
@@DawahDigital the history of the time when the quran was revealed, and also books that support that history as truth. for example signs that are made in the quran and then also books that support that its true. I know that there was a battle against the muslims during the meccan period. and if I am correct the muslims had a small army and the opponent had a huge army and the muslims still won. this is ofcourse a miracle but is there any books that support this as truth. And also one question:
in a hadith in sahih muslim or al bukhari not sure which. our prophet pbuh was asked some questions that annoyed him they asked him a few times who is my father? he got angry even though he said asks me anything. In another other hadith our prophet pbuh says if you get angry when your standing sit down if your still angry lay down. prophet muhammed pbuh did not lay down. know does that basically means if people ask dumb questions correct them. or is there something else behind this? or am I overthinking this ahaha. would appreciate your thoughts on this.

Imran seems to spend a lot of time arguing that since the atheist can't be sure Imran is wrong, he should consider that he might be right. Suppose he spoke to 100 people after Imran, each with their own metaphysical explanations for existence and the purpose of human kind. How could he reject any of them once he accepted any single one of them on those grounds? Since he can't rationally accept them all when they will contradict each other at points, he can't be justified to accept any of them without some further details to make one stand out as true.
I agree that something can be true without humans having the capacity to understand, test or prove it. However, that can never be a reason to believe any specific thing. It just prevents us from ruling something out completely.
Assuming that there are some unkown reasons/wisdom behind the existence of evil in the world, Can God create a universe without any evil despite the unknown reason?

I find plenty of meaning and purpose in this life because this is the only life I'm going to have. I don't see how not believing in an eternal 2nd life somehow gives this life meaning
@@kanewhitehead1522 I think parwars point is that the only purpose you have is self-assigned. Therefore it doesn't have any real value as it's a subjective purpose you have potentially put on yourself. Your purpose will differ from another athiests to a level where one athiest may feel as though they have no purpose because they are a random assortment of matter and nothing more. There is no value to that perspective. Whereas a thiest would claim an objective purpose that doesn't change from person to person which isn't self-assigned.

First of all, within Islam alone there are many sects and schools of thought which differ with one another; how do you know your own interpretation and understanding of Islam is correct and objective when there are already millions of other Muslims who disagree with your interpretation? How do you know your interpretation is objective?
When it comes to morality it's all about what is the most conducive way to live. Regardless of our differences we all have a commonality to want a good standard of living and overall well being, from that alone we can have a foundation for morality. No need for any supposition.
@@kanewhitehead1522 Of course. Both our positions on life are based on our presumptuous positions of whether a creator exists or not. That's not my point. My point is that as a result of our premise of a creator or lack of creator, that is what determines our objective or subjective morality.
As for Islam being able to provide objective morales. We have the best of examples to follow who's life has been well documented down to the nth degree. A person chosen by the creator. And the methodology of Islam is to use the Qur'an and sunnah of the final messenger to determine the morales we have. And there is a huge portion of Muslims that do that. However I also agree with you that there a large number of Muslims that don't and prefer to do things according to their own whims and desires. For example, all sects are unanimous that drinking is wrong and forbidden. Yet there are many Muslims who drink. This isn't a fault with the objective morales that Islam has layed down. Islam is perfect. It's the shortcomings of the humans as they err, forget and transgress.
As for your standard of living, your most conducive way to live - again it will be vastly different from person to person based on their own feelings. For example, rape - Islam is conclusive that it is wrong (and yes some Muslims rape however can't justify it using Islam). However an athiestic position would be able to justify such an act as it would make their life much better, especially in that moment.
