- (Feb. 22, 2020) Super Bantamweight World Champion Emanuel "Vaquero" Navarrete successfully defended his WBO title for a fifth-time with a 11th-round TKO of Filipino contender Jeo Santisima.
In a featured PPV bout on the Wilder vs Fury 2 card, Emanuel "Vaquero" Navarrete (31-1, 27 KOs) made the fifth successful defense of his WBO junior featherweight world title in less than a year, knocking out Filipino challenger Jeo Santisima (19-3, 16 KOs) in the 11th round.
"As I said during the build-up to the fight, I was coming for another knockout victory, and I got it," said Navarrete. "It took me a little more time than expected. I hurt him a couple of times during the fight, but I got to give it to him; he is a real Filipino warrior. He took a lot of punches and didn't go down. His corner had to stop the fight.
Navarrete, from San Juan Zitlaltepec, Mexico, is boxing's most active world champion, as he has won five in a row by stoppage since winning the world title via decision over Isaac "Royal Storm" Dogboe in December 2018.
"This is my fifth successful defense of the world title," said Navarrete. "Now I want a unification fight. I'll look at my options, but if I don't get it soon, I'll probably move to 126-pounds to challenge the champions at featherweight."

Filipinos have great boxing history . Remember "Pancho Villa" Filipino 100 years ago. Santisima fought good. Vaquero is an Excellent fighter, he does have some weaknesses but I always root for him. Vaquero is one of my favorite fighters because he is a humble guy. I detest arrogant boxers with a passion!!!

Yeah Nazarrete is having a hard time trying to make weight. He's most likely gonna have to move up.
Lots of movement but lack of punched head movementl to avoid punches is very important, backpedal and forward only is not good enough you have leran side to side movement its not only strong punch you delivered timing and accuracy is the one key to win you must destruct your opponent thru waving and throw punching.... keep on training you'll be the champion someday to be proud of
If santisima will just wait a hundred punch from every opponent, no miracle will come through, I'm waiting for some killer punch but until the end, i'ts all wasting time

Santisima was so cocky,allowing his opponent to fileup points and chose to fight in a distance even if he knows that the opponent has a longer reach yyet his seconds didnt make an adjustment.
Santesima has a power punch....endurance and stamina is not enough he needs to throw more punches.. Navarrete is not power puncher but he can throw a lot of punch.
