Unbelievable driving time! The knowledge you are dispersing is priceless!! Thanks for sharing your adventures! Yum on Poutine. 😍. Those mountains are SPECTACULAR! You should stop again and get a cinnamon roll and give the whole center to Kendrick. The adventures are endless! Love the stop sign. Y'all are inspiring! Thanks again, Devo does driving 💋
Y’all are so cute together. If you can get through such a long trip and still speak to each other then you’re doing great! Can’t wait to see what you post next.
Great adventuring in a T@B. Love ours. We just got back from a 3000 miler from Seattle up to Watson Lake and back. The Cassiar HWY is awesome. Hope the fires don't impact your travels too much. If you need a place to stop over for a day or two once back in the states our door is open and there is room for Rocky!. We are just west of Seattle on the Kitsap Peninsula.
You need to let Kendrick out of car more often, I am sure I caught him smiling once or twice after that run. 😁😁😁. Cheers from Michael and Leah Australia.
Mandy, Kendrick, I am so excited for you both on this journey! There is another UA-cam channel that I watch that may be in the area you are traveling through. They have already been to Sign Post Forest and are in Alaska, they post each Sunday....it'd be cool if you met up. Their channel is Keep Your Day Dream, Mark and Trish are very informative and adventurous. Looking forward to your next post. Godspeed!
Great videography! I went to school at the University of Alaska at Fairbanks so this brings back a lot of nice memories! Please be careful thru Mexico. I worked as a volunteer with the National Park Service at Amistad National Recreation Area on the Rio Grande and heard many stories of Americans being robbed and worse.
The rainbow was definitely a good sign! I think it is the RV version of sailors seeing dolphins at the beginning of a sailing trip! Wow those yellow fields - beautiful. “The roadside equivalent of clickbait” 😂😂😂
Cute video you guys, safe travels and thanks again for taking the time to share this with us. (Quick request, I know you’re busy but would you guys consider making a video about the bathroom situation? Thanks!)
Congrats on your safe drive through to Alaska! Hope your last leg of the trip is just as good. 840 mils in a day is allot of hours in the car lol. Good idea to get out for some hiking!
Good times! I'd love to see what some of your boondocking places look like. I'm nearing the end of a teardrop build and could use some inspiration! Safe travels!
Hey guys, its like traveling with you….. Kendrick happy to see you enjoying the local brews, so many beers so little time. Any chance of adding little clips of your boon docking camping sites, would add to the total adventure?
500 miles without a tow is a big day, I cannot imagine how in the world these long drives were accomplished! I don't think I would recommend it. Acquiring my own T@b soon from my folks who no longer can travel. Like new and garaged since they bought it in 2008 I am excited about personalizing it!
Congrats on the new T@B! How far you can tow each day is really up to the person, it is different for everyone. While it isn't our first choice, if Kendrick and I need to get somewhere, we are able to put in a lot of miles.
Great video!!! I’ve had my Tab Outback a little over a year but have not nearly used as much as you guys have. How’s your Tab holding up? I would love to do the same trip from California.
Hey guys! Just sub’d and also picked up my new T@G Boondock on the 9th of August. How is the maintenance part of your trip? I am planning about the same trip for next July. Very curious as to how you maintain the tiny home on your journey and if you have come across any prepping you would do different. Thanks! Matt
Hey Matt! You're going to love the T@G boondock. One of the great things about it is that there is very little maintenance that you need to do. It comes ready to go out of the factory! I would just give it a few shake down trips to make sure that you have all the supplies you need, they are where you want them to be, and things don't move too much when you drive.
I’m enjoying the videos of your trip, but am having a difficult time letting go of the “center of the cinnamon bun incident” other than that, excellent video. Hope to journey with my Tab up into Canada sometime in the near future.
Hey guys quick question. Did you install a anti-sway bar? We're going to pull ours with a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Edition so I'm confident the tow package is sufficient, but the dealer where we ordered the trailer has no idea what size trailer hitch ball we need to get. He thinks either a 2" or 2.5" but he really doesn't know. What size are you using? Thanks.
Hi! Yes... everyone said we didn't "need" one, but the first time we began towing we felt a lot of sway, so we installed one. We use a 2" ball. The sway bar made all the difference in the world, love it! You can see all our equipment at this link: mandyleaphoto.com/gearbox/
Hey, thank you. Just ordered the sway bar and controller so thanks for the tip. Since we're picking the trailer up direct at the factory, we've emailed them and asked if they could install both. Your gear list quite detailed - the Yamaha generator is on my list to buy after the ARB Fridge. Is the Yamaha powerful enough to run your A/C unit?
Aw they do great work at the factory! Let them know you talked to me ;) And yes, the generator will run the A/C... although we haven't needed it much lately!
How did your Jeep Cherokee do pulling your tab? I also have a Jeep Cherokee Trail Hawk and a Tab 320 but it seems to be straining. I am concerned about an upcoming trip to the mountains. I am getting 16 MPG. What are your thoughts?
Ugh you are so right. We spent more time in Alaska thinking it would be easier to make a second trip to do Canada than go all the way to AK again.... now we just have to follow through on that Canada trip!
I really want to be living in an RV of some type in the next few years. I have a question for you when you were solo camping. Did you ever experience any danger? I saw a video the other day where a woman said it wasn't safe for woman travelling solo, but I haven't seen many posts from solo campers saying they experienced anything fearful, dangerous, etc. I have been following you for awhile now and trust your posts, so was just wondering.
Hi Taryn, thats a great question. No, I never experienced any danger. However I take precautions and use my head. I don't put myself in dangerous situations. Don't let fear stop you, just be smart.
Why are you guys in such a hurry doing those Marathon driving stints. Stop and smell the roses, more hikes, more sightseeing, more connecting with locals, whatever . . .
Oh for sure! Like I said in the video, we are officially doing "Alaska to Mexico" so we booked it up to Alaska just to start the trip, but now that we are here we will slow down and see things on the way back down :) So happy to be here and start the sight seeing!!
Well, fall weather tends to hit the north and/or higher elevations first then starts making its way down. Our long days of driving to the north were in an effort to beat any potentially bad weather along the Dalton Highway. Even so, we still had to drive over the highest highway pass in Alaska in snowy conditions.
Kendrick Callaway thanks for your reply. Yes that was my guess about your urgency, that is, the weather. I know it can snow in August in Canada. In the 70 s I hitchhiked from the Canadian Rockies down the coast of the United States through Mexico along the Pacific coast and down into Guatemala in about 6 months!
Of course! That sounds like a great experience! I haven't done much hitching in the States, but I have down in Patagonia. It's a great way to meet people and get around! Now that we're up here our pace will slow significantly. We may sacrifice some of Canada on our way down since it's much easier to get to places like Banff, Jasper, Squamish, etc when compared to getting to Alaska. So, we'll focus on seeing as much in Alaska as we can right now. I have a trailrunning race in Idaho in mid-September, which puts us on a little bit of a schedule. Guess we'll have a good excuse to come back up here again!

Y’all are so cute together. If you can get through such a long trip and still speak to each other then you’re doing great! Can’t wait to see what you post next.
We still have to speak to each other to blame the farts on one another :) haha
So glad your taking us alone...Be safe!
Thanks for coming along Susi!
You guys are true "road warriors". We took 15 days to drive from Texas to North Pole.
Hey that's still pretty fast! Good job!
When driving to Alaska a few years ago, Muncho Lake was one of our favorite spots. I still remember the incredible dawn.
It sure was a beautiful spot!
So enjoyed it! Fabulous- thank you😊
Thanks for coming along Lynn!
"The North Pole" vs. "North Pole" 😄 I am so looking forward to your trans-continental videos! You are living my dream right now. ❤
haha, ya we had fun with that....
Yay!! Glad you made it and looking forward to your journey south!! Be safe and have fun!!👍😊
You know we will... on both!
Mandy Mandy, always save the best part ( the gooey center) for last. I've been doing that for many many years. Great video, y'all two stay safe. 👍😀
Thanks Tracy! Now I know lol!
Another great video. I look forward to viewing the whole series. I enjoyed the bit about spending to much time in a car.
The next episode will be driving up the Dalton to the Arctic ocean! i'm excited to put it together!
I love watching your videos. Trully inspiring cant wait for the next one.
Thanks Maritza, Episode 6 tomorrow!
Beautiful mountains. We went to Alaska in 2004 and loved it. Hope to go back some day. Loving the trip👍 safe travels.
Looking forward to seeing some of the more mountainous regions... haven't had much chance yet :)
Wow, you two really put on the miles.
We did! Finally get to slow down now though.
Great adventuring in a T@B. Love ours. We just got back from a 3000 miler from Seattle up to Watson Lake and back. The Cassiar HWY is awesome. Hope the fires don't impact your travels too much. You are too kind! We'll see what happens when we head south!
You need to let Kendrick out of car more often, I am sure I caught him smiling once or twice after that run. 😁😁😁. Cheers from Michael and Leah Australia.
Ahahaha... yes I agree. He needs a really big yard... full of mountains!
@@MandyLea . He looks & sounds like a lovely guy. 😁😁
Looks like you guys had a great trip! I did NOT know about the cinnamon roll rule. That was hilarious! 😆
Mandy, Kendrick, I am so excited for you both on this journey! There is another UA-cam channel that I watch that may be in the area you are traveling through. They have already been to Sign Post Forest and are in Alaska, they post each Sunday....it'd be cool if you met up. Yes I watch them too! :)
I'm happy I found y'all.
I'm happy you found us too :)
Great video! I really loved the cinnamon story. 😂
hahaha, can't make that stuff up LOL
LOL! You ate poutine!! I'm Canadian and had a little giggle during that part!
haha, it was delicious!!!
Great videography! I went to school at the University of Alaska at Fairbanks so this brings back a lot of nice memories! Please be careful thru Mexico. Thanks John! Yes, we'll do our best to take all the precautions...
The rainbow was definitely a good sign! I think it is the RV version of sailors seeing dolphins at the beginning of a sailing trip! Wow those yellow fields - beautiful. “The roadside equivalent of clickbait” 😂😂😂
Haha, ya kendrick can be pretty witty sometimes...
Loved the video !!
Thanks Jenifer!
Cute video you guys, safe travels and thanks again for taking the time to share this with us.
(Quick request, I know you’re busy but would you guys consider making a video about the bathroom situation? Thanks!)
For sure! It's definitely on the list!!!
Mandy Lea Photo aww thanks Mandy!
Wow! I can’t believe how far you drove on these days! I’m so excited about this trip. Safe travels y’all! Amanda 🤠
I know! I'm so excited to be up here and be able to slow down a bit now.
Congrats on your safe drive through to Alaska! Hope your last leg of the trip is just as good. 840 mils in a day is allot of hours in the car lol. Good idea to get out for some hiking!
Oh so good. I didn't want to go on it, until I did it, and then I was grateful.
Good times! I'd love to see what some of your boondocking places look like. I'm nearing the end of a teardrop build and could use some inspiration! Safe travels!
Well so far they've just been walmart parking lots, hahaha, but yes... as we get to the prettier places I'll be sure to post about that!
Our Grandson just left North Pole after 4yrs in Air Force there. He's now headed for Panama City Fl. Quite a change.
Quite!!
Hey guys, its like traveling with you….. Kendrick happy to see you enjoying the local brews, so many beers so little time. Any chance of adding little clips of your boon docking camping sites, would add to the total adventure?
Absolutely! Great suggestion!
Awesome Mandy still love your videos!
Glad I haven't scared you off yet!
Awesome vlog! The Canadian Rockies are beautiful! Cheers! 🍺👍😎 ~Maverick
Thanks for watchin' :)
Gr8 vid! 👍
Thanks!

How exciting did you guys went to the North Pole. I would love to take my daughter there too
It was a fun little town! Especially if you love Christmas!
Great video!!! I’ve had my Tab Outback a little over a year but have not nearly used as much as you guys have. How’s your Tab holding up? I would love to do the same trip from California.
35,000 miles towed.. on some very, very, very rough terrain. Still chugging along like a champ! You could definitely do the trip from CA.
Hey guys! Just sub’d and also picked up my new T@G Boondock on the 9th of August. How is the maintenance part of your trip? I am planning about the same trip for next July. You guys are too funny. Cinnamon incident!
haha
I’m enjoying the videos of your trip, but am having a difficult time letting go of the “center of the cinnamon bun incident” other than that, excellent video. Hope to journey with my Tab up into Canada sometime in the near future.
Haha, I don't think we can ever eat a cinnamon roll without arguing about that now... :)
Hey guys quick question. Did you install a anti-sway bar? I am getting 16 MPG.
What are your thoughts?
Poutine is aaaaaamazing. =) I miss it.
Yes. I went 35 years without it and now I am enlightened!
Great videos- too bad folks choose to rush through the parkland and great plains of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta.
Ugh you are so right. We spent more time in Alaska thinking it would be easier to make a second trip to do Canada than go all the way to AK again.... now we just have to follow through on that Canada trip!
Safe travels! You guys are too cute.
Thanks Ruth :)
If a relationship can survive one partner eating the entire best part of a cinnamon roll, it can survive almost anything!
haha.... but I didn't! LOL
Look up the 30 foot chocolate waterfall in Alaska
Wow!!!

I look forward to your trip videos. Would you consider adding a $1/mo Patreon tier? No perks necessary, just a way to support you on a budget.
I guess I could do that :) Stay tuned!
But to be honest, your likes and comments on social media are worth the world to me.
love iseating the center of the c bun and still getting a hug
That's a lot of miles ,wow. Beautiful country, the U.S. and of course, Canada. Great video.
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch!
And “ North Pole” / “The North Pole” 😂😂🤣

You got lucky at Portal. Most of the time Canadian Border patrol is so bored there that they take everything apart.
haha, wow! We were the only ones there but it was late, so maybe he wanted off :)
