Trivia: Yami's forms are based off of human addictions. 1. Need for destruction 2. Need for burning 3. Need to gamble and take chances 4. Need to industrialize 5. (Final) all evil comes from our own hands Akuro's is kinda the same. 1. Not really much symbolism. He just uses Yami's hand. 2. All evil comes from ourselves. Blaming others for your evil is pointless and only creates more evil.
This is true. I think that the first is that Humans trap then destroy what they find vile. (I think with him trapping then using the death beam. When the mirror comes, it really shows that evil does come from inside.
I haven't played okamiden but I love the final boss themes for okamiden and okami there some of my favorite final boss themes of all time and also my favorite Capcom final bosses ever.
Did anyone else notice that this theme is a remix of several of the other tracks in this game? We have Preparing for Action (cutscene theme), some minor parts of Kamiki Village, A hint of Thunder Notes (as I call it), and I hear a bit of the boss battle theme. This game really has an epic soundtrack, which I expected none the less for Okami's sequel. My only issues are a) the doppelganger scenario is extremely overused, and b) Beating the main plotline gives you the ultimate weapon?! and lastly, c) WHY IS ASTERIODIAN SO DANG EASY?
Girentina242 Yeah it is a great game with a great plot twist history xD But what i disliked is that there are masterpieces and lucky coins in places that you can never come back, in okami, never had important "side quested" items in "never-come-back" places >.< And something that i don't understand after play okamiden -SPOILERZ FOR THOSE WHO DIDN'T PLAY- ------------------------------ I don't understand how shiranui was saved by chibitera, came to kamiki village 100 ago, "died" agains't akuro, and in okami, it was there in present agains't Lechku and Nechku.
I think there needs to be a third game; this time, they correctly name the god of the moon. In actual Japanese mythology, the god of the moon was Amaterasu's brother Tsukuyomi, not that fricking Yumigami character! In the first game, they should have had Tsukuyomi appear as an Okami as well!!! Make him a black wolf with a Moon reflector! There are enough fan arts of this thing it's ridiculous!!! DO IT, CAPCOM!!!!!!!!! Make it so, in the third game, you can switch between Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi!
Then Okamiden, if we're going by the Japanese pronunciations for one, two, and three, should have been Okami-ni. No offense intended, just making an observation.
I looked up the Japanese name for Okamiden, which is made into 大神伝 in Kanji. It means Okami (God wolf) Legend, so it'd be unusual for the Game goes from Wolf God, then Wolf God Legend, Then Wolf God Three. I'd say it'd be better if it was Something short and like Okamiden. I thought of Monogatari, which means story, but that's way too long. I think.
It's extremely easy to keep track of his location, usually I get him stunned by spamming random attacks on his location. It works rather quickly and effectively. Draw the sun, and you're out of the darkness. He doesn't even have his OHK attack anymore. Power Slashes are minor damage-dealers, doesn't matter. He's easy because you can stun him for a few hits at basically any point he's not in the darkness. He almost always charges an element. Plus, the respective brush techniques deal
AHHH THERE NEEDS TO BE A THIRD GAME!!!!!! it would be one of those games where you switch characters as the story gos like you play as Shiranui, then Amaterasu, then Chibiterasu and go through the Celestial Plain, AND OMG IT NEEDS TO HAPPEN SOMEONE BLACKMAIL CAPCOM
the studio that made the two okami games, clover studios, no longer exists. and capcom owns the rights to the series....so if another game comes it most likely wont hold the same purpose and beauty.
Nakumare Clover only made Okami, Okamiden was made by Capcom. I believe we were supposed to be in the celestial plain the second one but Capcom changed it after buying out Clover
Shadowplayer gaming actually when asked the former clover people said if they had made a sequal it would be isshun travelling and spreading the word of Amaterasu.
I wonder if Ammy could defeat Akuro on her own. Because if you really think about it Chibi and Kuni could only kill Akuro because his powers were suppressed by Kurow.
He charges himself with one of the elements, all of which have a weakness. Hit him with the right element and he will be stunned, allowing you to get a couple of hits in. His attacks are easy to dodge, he usually only uses Power Slash or maybe Cherry Bomb. He charges with an element whenever he can, and you will usually have no trouble getting him to charge with an element so you can stun. The first time darkness covers the battlefield, it's difficult but easy after the first time.
Chugga inspired me to play the Game I LOVED IT Then I played Okami LOVE IT and now I have this playing VERY LOUD in to my headphones to drown out my dog's barking at a hex bug spyder my dog's barking has NEVER been so AWESOME!
You say that, but neither Okami nor Okamiden was never in the front lines of production. They were both made by subsidiaries. I mean, look at what Clover made and then its successor did a fantastic job. Neither of them were considered "mainstream."
@BlackRaven6694 I don't blame you there, The first time I fought this boss, I used a revenge slip, 2nd time around I didn't bother and the fight is easy enough...Though because I was rushing to draw Sunrise, I accidentally drew Galestorm so many times XD
@Printerm5n I call that technique "exorspam". ;D Practical against bosses because it can be hard to find the right strategy, and you don't get the scroll until you beat the enemy.
my friend showed this to me, when i saw a few videos about it, i was like "ok, it seems kinda cool" and when i started playing it: "wow, this is awesome! although it'll take me a while to figure out where im supposed to go every now and then ^^' "
He spends 100% of his time in the air, out of your reach, shoots a bunch of annoying attacks that are often hard to dodge, and keep your eyes off Kurow/Kagu for a few seconds they may die. Once he splits into two he has double the firepower and is twice as annoying.
I want to play the game for REAL not only the final boss. I'm waiting for it to come home to me! But Õkamiden is SOOOOOOO AWESOOMEEE!!!!! The final boss difficulity, It's AWESOMELY HARD!
some nice extra damage. (I usually spam brush techniques. It usually goes Cherry Bomb, Cherry Bomb, Power slash through two cherry bombs and the enemy, cyclone, regular attacks, fireburst (
Honestly, the only boss I really had trouble with was the two demons in the theater, only cause I didn't know what to do for a bit to get the girl back... ...I haven't played the game for awhile, I miss it :(
Last boss is the hardest (and still not terribly hard) but by the time you reach him you should have about one million Inkfinities and Divine Sakes, which make the fight way too easy.
@whoneedsskittles It came out a week and a half after Pokemon Black/White. I was way more excited to play this. Also people shouldn't complain about difficulty, the games were both about the emotion, the characters, the atmosphere, the emotion and the story. Did I mention the emotion?
like i said before, king fury is way harder than all three final boss forms combined... oh and when your in the darkness, use an exorsism slip L, thats enough to stun him, but make sure hes not invincible
I was battling the final boss in about 10 minutes and I dodged every shot with vegance slips spam and few Exorcism silp L (About 3 - 4 times did I used them).
While I'm not saying I don't want Okami 3, I AM saying this: make it when Capcom is a bit clearer in the head. Canceling a lot of big title games and then having the new DmC which didn't go over well with old fans, losing their support, isn't telling me that they should go ahead and try to make another game while their decision making process is like this.

1. Need for destruction
2. Need for burning
3. Need to gamble and take chances
4. Need to industrialize
5. (Final) all evil comes from our own hands
Akuro's is kinda the same.
1. Not really much symbolism. He just uses Yami's hand.
2. All evil comes from ourselves. Blaming others for your evil is pointless and only creates more evil.
This is true. I think that the first is that Humans trap then destroy what they find vile. (I think with him trapping then using the death beam. When the mirror comes, it really shows that evil does come from inside.
oh and the fish from yami means all threats start out small
Actually, they never said anything about any of those symbolisms. Those are just things Chiggaaconroy said and people took it as fact.
Indeed, people took the WordOfDante as if it was a WordOfGod.
Man I love this song. Sets the mood for the final boss so damn well. I love how you can hear "preparing for action" in it.
This is great, nearly as much so as The Sun Rises from the first Okami game
I haven't played okamiden but I love the final boss themes for okamiden and okami there some of my favorite final boss themes of all time and also my favorite Capcom final bosses ever.

Well a) it wouldn't be a *true* rpg without that element.
B) well, you DID earn it.
C) I don't have an answer

Okamiden is my favorite game of all time
Girentina242 Yeah it is a great game with a great plot twist history xD
But what i disliked is that there are masterpieces and lucky coins in places that you can never come back, in okami, never had important "side quested" items in "never-come-back" places >.<
And something that i don't understand after play okamiden -SPOILERZ FOR THOSE WHO DIDN'T PLAY-
------------------------------
I don't understand how shiranui was saved by chibitera, came to kamiki village 100 ago, "died" agains't akuro, and in okami, it was there in present agains't Lechku and Nechku.

DO IT, CAPCOM!!!!!!!!!
Make it so, in the third game, you can switch between Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi!
Except Tsukiyomi is in the game, as a sword.
And therein lies the problem: Tsukuyomi needed to be an actual character, not an object.
Omg totally!
Then Okamiden, if we're going by the Japanese pronunciations for one, two, and three, should have been Okami-ni. No offense intended, just making an observation.

SOMEONE PLEASEEEEEE MAKE AN EXTENDED 30 MINUTES OF THIS BATTLE THEME!! IT'S SO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!
fun fact this song is called "akuro beaten" and this is a really cool song who dosent think okami and okamiden music is awsome?
my friend, better words were never spoken about this awesome sequel
It sure is underrated... I don't understand why so many people would prefer shooting games over this masterpiece to behold here...
It's extremely easy to keep track of his location, usually I get him stunned by spamming random attacks on his location. It works rather quickly and effectively. Draw the sun, and you're out of the darkness.

I've never played Okamiden, but I've wanted to for a while. This music convinced me to buy it.
It may have benn a tough fight, but at lest we get to listen to this amazing fight music!
This was without a doubt the best boss of the whole game... and what a much better boss than that fight just before it
I needed to look up info about it though, it confused me about the really strong attack.
I love this boss and this game
dude...with that kind of cliffhanger, another game is for sure
AHHH THERE NEEDS TO BE A THIRD GAME!!!!!!
it would be one of those games where you switch characters as the story gos like you play as Shiranui, then Amaterasu, then Chibiterasu and go through the Celestial Plain, AND OMG IT NEEDS TO HAPPEN SOMEONE BLACKMAIL CAPCOM
try typing
okamiden eclipse extended
the studio that made the two okami games, clover studios, no longer exists.

Nakumare
Clover only made Okami, Okamiden was made by Capcom. I believe we were supposed to be in the celestial plain the second one but Capcom changed it after buying out Clover
Shadowplayer gaming actually when asked the former clover people said if they had made a sequal it would be isshun travelling and spreading the word of Amaterasu.
Nakumare So like a Japan style version of the Disciples spreading the story of Jesus?
1:15 just is a part of the "getting ready for battle" theme
This is the best version of the final boss theme
Ooohh, this is a hard-core remix of the first final boss!
This boss fight was completely epic =D
you really could... Okami will still be the best ^^
Makes complete sense now, much more happy!
I wonder if Ammy could defeat Akuro on her own. Because if you really think about it Chibi and Kuni could only kill Akuro because his powers were suppressed by Kurow.
Honestly, Okami surpasses any game I have ever played. Period.
Chibi is the god of adorableness, how cute can a video game character get?
He charges himself with one of the elements, all of which have a weakness. Hit him with the right element and he will be stunned, allowing you to get a couple of hits in. Chugga inspired me to play the Game I LOVED IT Then I played Okami LOVE IT and now I have this playing VERY LOUD in to my headphones to drown out my dog's barking at a hex bug spyder my dog's barking has NEVER been so AWESOME!
till chuggaaconroy did an LP of it he made me buy the game.
Okami was underrated as hell in the first place.... which to me is so sad...
This song is awsone! I think it's underated
You say that, but neither Okami nor Okamiden was never in the front lines of production. They were both made by subsidiaries. I mean, look at what Clover made and then its successor did a fantastic job. Neither of them were considered "mainstream."
i totally agree but now that chugga came along yeah,
The bead weapon thing is called a rosary. In Okamiden, you get only one rosary called Devout Beads.
This sounds awesome
@BlackRaven6694 I don't blame you there, The first time I fought this boss, I used a revenge slip, 2nd time around I didn't bother and the fight is easy enough...Though because I was rushing to draw Sunrise, I accidentally drew Galestorm so many times XD

Okamiden is underrated as hell.
this song rocks!
Just below the sun rises.
The whole setting of the final boss, with the possessed kuni and chibi is begging for a creepypasta
Why is this game so cute and fun?!
I saw this game at GameStop last week! Now I'm regretting not getting it.
I love okamiden !
Maybe wanted to show those demons that like mother, like son.
The Oracle games were published by Capcom. Most of the others weren;t, but those were.
Yup, in fact, this pales to ALL the songs in Okami in my opinion
no he's on a mountain howling at the moon, WHAT DO U THINK!!?
Okami is adorable
but it ties into Okami in the most creative ways....
I hope too
Remax dude! :)
He inspired me to go out of state to buy this game :D
I want to play the game for REAL not only the final boss. I'm waiting for it to come home to me!
But Õkamiden is SOOOOOOO AWESOOMEEE!!!!! The final boss difficulity, It's AWESOMELY HARD!
some nice extra damage. (I usually spam brush techniques. It usually goes Cherry Bomb, Cherry Bomb, Power slash through two cherry bombs and the enemy, cyclone, regular attacks, fireburst (
@BlackRaven6694 They may be a bit expensive, but Revenge slips work a wonder in this fight.
who could dislike this honestly
Fighting the Dark Side of the main character ALWAYS makes the game interesting!
That is the hardest boss in the game, I agree. But I somehow, by some miracle, got past his final form on my first try!
@FunnyDasha7 except this time they arent s,m, and l. they're based off of the elements dealing more damage/
It's hard Okami and Okamiden such as underrate game(Okamiden more underrate) but I don't know how many people don't like this amazing game.
needs to be a Okami game set in the Celestial Plain
What would happen if you had that karmonic transformer that made you dark chibi and you re-fought the final boss?
Regardless of that it had to meet Capcom's standards and as of lately their standards aren't set all too high.
i hope in the future, they will have Chibi, Ammy, and Shiranui playable in the Celestial
plains and reveal who Kuni truly is!
do it, and get the first one first, if you haven't already. you'll be glad you did.
Well, that and sunrise when the time called for it, and spam whenever you could! :-D
This is called magic
The great sun goddess has spoken! :D
yeah, saved my money up and bought them all before the fight w/ Akuro.
Honestly, the only boss I really had trouble with was the two demons in the theater, only cause I didn't know what to do for a bit to get the girl back...
...I haven't played the game for awhile, I miss it :(
@MAtmanGS He didn't spoil the game. Spoiling the game is if you give out a big spoiler to everyone else. And alas, that was not a spoiler.
That boss is hard for me I play on emulator but now I get 3ds I will play this game again :D
derp. I haven't played since I beat it in Feb., so I'd forgotten it's name.
Last boss is the hardest (and still not terribly hard) but by the time you reach him you should have about one million Inkfinities and Divine Sakes, which make the fight way too easy.
well those people are soulless monsters
Well then that makes sense then, since I saved up for like 80 of exorcism slip L's.
Yup, and I had TONS of money since the game was so easy.
@whoneedsskittles It came out a week and a half after Pokemon Black/White. I was way more excited to play this.
Also people shouldn't complain about difficulty, the games were both about the emotion, the characters, the atmosphere, the emotion and the story. Did I mention the emotion?
Me too :)
after i got the black sun trinket i plays as dark Chibi all the time :D
@Wilford870 Actually, this is an arranged version. The DS one is of lower quality. That said, I prefer the DS version of this song.
This is probably the game with the saddest ending I've ever experienced ;____;
like i said before, king fury is way harder than all three final boss forms combined... oh and when your in the darkness, use an exorsism slip L, thats enough to stun him, but make sure hes not invincible
The beginning of the last stage, I used about 7/100 of his health with all my exorcism slips
IKR
Õkamiden is awesome but the final boss is hard and challenging... I LOOOOOOVEEEEE THE FINAL BOSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The boss is actually pretty easy if you do it right.
Yeah, I had like 80 of the things when I went up against him. Finished with about 30
I was battling the final boss in about 10 minutes and I dodged every shot with vegance slips spam and few Exorcism silp L (About 3 - 4 times did I used them).
Dark Chibi: I am a shadow, the true self
chibi, shadow chibi...i'll work on the costume! Great game!
i just realized, I'm talking about Okami on an Okamiden video. aw well.
yeah.... nothing's better than the original of anything! ^^
While I'm not saying I don't want Okami 3, I AM saying this: make it when Capcom is a bit clearer in the head. Canceling a lot of big title games and then having the new DmC which didn't go over well with old fans, losing their support, isn't telling me that they should go ahead and try to make another game while their decision making process is like this.
you kill things in almost every game though
@pokenerdist You do play as Ammy's son. His name's Chibiterasu. I just know that though. I don't know much, because I have yet to buy the game.
