Dale won the championship that year by 26 points, closest Mark ever got to a Cup championship, might have won if not for highly controversial penalty to Mark Martin early in the season.
If you take that penalty out he wins the championship that year. Just my opinion Mark Martin is the best driver to never win a championship I hope he gets into the Nascar Hall of Fame someday because he truly deserves it

Dale Earnhardt SR was not like anybody, he not simple kinda good guy like they put on. Never was. Dale SR got his own daughter pregnant.
