      Yeah ngl I was enjoying the video until the loui ck part and that part at the end like when ur making a comedy video you shouldn’t suddenly pause and get all somber just to pick up the funny man voice again in 15 seconds he’s doing exactly what he criticized the other comedians of. I agree with the other guy I think he’s just offended and trying to make a critical point based off all that. Everything he said before was right and him calling stuff gay only supports that it’s not lazy that’s his personal. Like you said it feel like your talking to a broski at a bar but guess what that’s how broskis at bars talk.

    The thing I love about Shane's performance style is that he constantly seems like he's checking in with the audience to make sure they are having as much fun as he is, and he'll actually comment on it in the moment. It's so different than most comedians who just power through whatever prepared stuff they have. Shane comes off feeling more like a buddy you're hanging out with who wants to make sure you're laughing just as hard as he is, and that's super endearing.

      Totally agree, he really connects with the audience. Joe List is another guy that excels at doing this, he has jokes that don’t really hit even in his specials, but he calls out the silence and gets the laugh and it makes the bit even better when he gets a little fake frustrated.

He had a joke for that situation to. His manager threatened two of the women's careers for talking about it, and one of them had just got a big break working on The Chris Rock Show where he had the power to fire her. How did all of you get so sure about something you never bothered to look into? Just, unquestioning devotion to your hero, believing whatever he or his friends said? I used to love Louie too, then I learned the facts and realized, he let power and fame mess him up, and he hurt people.

Both of them said no actual threat was ever made. The Chris rock show employee was anonymous, she also gave consent. Never said she was threatened. well put together video, but the stance on louis ck is a weird one. he got busted being slightly more awkward than being busted by your mum for cranking one out, and dabbling in dissecting comedy while moral grandstanding over this shit is a cognitive dissonance that kind of undermines everything else you say - if that's what you're walking away with over the louis 'scandal', then it's fair to assume your critical eye may not be operating to spec.

    • @liferadous
      @liferadous 27 днів тому

      Lol at someone who never learned the actual facts of the situation talking about someone else's lack of a critical eye. No, he wasn't just awkward. He didn't just have a weird kink. He didn't always ask permission. He was a predator who only got away with his behavior because he was powerful. If you or I or a fucking Mickey D's manager 'asked' a subordinate to watch him jerk off (as Louie did on-set at the Chris Rock show) he'd be fucking fired and it'd be in the paper and no one would feel sorry for him. If you started jerking it to a woman you just met over the phone (no, she wasn't asked) you might get arrested. Talk after you've read or watched something about it from journalists instead of just the man you are blindly hero-worshipping and his friends and fans. Right now you are being a cog in a massive misinformation campaign orchestrated by a millionaire to salvage his rep.

    The adult women hoped this would advance their career - something Louis never said or implied.
    Since Louis was known for doing this since the turn of the century, when he had very, very little 'Star Power' it would be unfair to suggest Louis was abusing his position.

One got ambushed over the phone.
      Those are just the five originally brought up in the New York Times expose. NONE said they agreed because they thought it was a quid pro quo for their careers. More have come out since and shared in the documentary. You are repeating LIES manufactured as part of an expensive PR firm's spin package for a millionaire who does not care about you. You're unjustly slandering these women who got violated by their hero and spent years being too scared to say anything.
