  • In this step-by-step video, Dave and Pam will show you how to warp your Louët David Loom. Taking off from our previous video (Using a Warp Mill to Create your Warp), you'll see how you can create an even tension with warp sticks, wind the warp evenly, thread the heddles (the David allows you to remove components to directly access the castle) and slay the reed. Everything you need for a delightful weaving experience!

I just got my David loom last week. The assembly instructions were great but there is very little information out there on how to warp it! My first weaving project was a disaster. So happy I found this! Maybe my next project will be easier!

Love the video - clear and precise. Having a David looks very tempting. Would be nice if the table looms (Jane) had the same removal of the front beam & roller to get close to the heddles. I know everyone who owns a Jane would love a race too.

how do you attach the apron rod? I see a larks head knot on the left and right of the apron rod. Then I see you pull up the giant loop of texsolv cord that would go in the middle. There are three giant loops of tex solve cord attach to the warp and the cloth beam. How do you create a lark's head knot from the giant attached loops? I know how to do larks head from a cord that is free and not attached to something
