      If this is not Heidi I will be embarrassed! 😂 Thank you so much! I wish the sparkle was more intense in the orange color but I still love the final look of this bead! I am working on a new demo….hopefully I will get it finished for next Saturday! See you soon! 🌹✨
      Hugs and Cheers- Robin 🥰🌹✨

    Learned some more tips again. When my lentils are too small, sometimes I add a transparent color along the outer edge. It kind of frames the bead. Just a thought. I’ll have to add ebony and ivory to my millions of rods. Lol. There are never enough.

      Hi Enrico! Good ideas all around! Thanks much and Ooooh……..that Ebony Ivory! You will totally dig it.
      I wish I knew what the other color was though. I bought it years ago and used the last 2 rods I had for this demo. I don’t use orange that much, but I would love to get my hands on more of this particular one. I’ll miss it…. 😭
      It’s true…..there are never enough! 😂🔥✨

      It is 1.5 inches lentil. I got it from Corrina. Haven't yet managed to make one that big. I am going to try using ivory

      Oooh! That’s a nice big one!! It always surprises me at how much glass can fit in the larger presses.
      That is super exciting Gloria! R- 💫🤗🌹

    I have used and love that orange color too. It was called "Orange Sparkle" and it has been discontinued. I've looked! It's nowhere to be found.

      Hey Joan! It is so interesting that you brought that up…. A few weeks ago I made a glass order thinking about just that color! The carrot red sparkle - Vetrofond 😁❤️
      And I was able to get it through Frantz Art Glass! I thought If it was discontinued too🧐 … it’s just as beautiful as I remember! The Glass Gods must have said something..because it is definitely there now!
      High Five! 😆. Thanks so much for your comment!! R- 🙏🏽🔥🔥✨✨🌺

    Do you ever use graphite bead rollers? I have a bunch of them and haven't got the hang of using them properly, I don't think... would love a video on them too!

    • @scottwoodresearch
      @scottwoodresearch  3 роки тому +1

      I actually don’t use them simply because I have not had a use for them. I do have a large Crunch Press that could work for ‘free form’ shaping.
      I will look into these Bead Rollers and do a little research! I’ll mention my findings in an upcoming Bead Press Video.
      😁🌹✨🔥

      I found the color! Check out the comment from Dan. It has a link right to the color! It was Carrot red sparkle from Vetrofond! I can’t wait to get more! However I will check out the Mystic orange as well!😍

      Thanks for the info, Robert! For some reason your comment was not posted and I could only read the first 2 lines….?
      Anyway, I will definitely check out the sites you mentioned. I am familiar with it all but never really thought I’d be looking to buy any. 😂😂😂
      I was wrong! 😂🔥✨👍🏽

    I am having trouble with my lentil press. It seems that EVERY time I use it my bead release crumbles away where the little slots for the mandrel are and exposes the mandrel. I noticed yours did not do that on the first press. Do you have any advice on how to prevent this? Or should I not be too worried about it since it’s not directly where the bead is?

    • @scottwoodresearch
      @scottwoodresearch  Рік тому

      Hello Anna! I feel your pain! 😅🌹I have noticed that sometimes if the consistency of the bead release it off (to thin or to thick) it can be very temperamental and brittle. If some comes off when using a bead press and it doesn’t effect the bead then I just keep going! 😂 It’s when the bead gets loose on the mandrel or you get bead release on your work that I usually wrap it up quickly.
      I think we all struggle with this very issue and I’m really glad you brought it up!🌹👍🏽
      My bead release intends to be like a thick smoothie. If I want it thinner then I just tap the end of the mandrel right after I apply it. I hope this helps!! 👋🏽💫 Cheers- Robin 💫🌹✨😃

    How do you get “indents” at the punty when the foot ball shape?

    • @scottwoodresearch
      @scottwoodresearch  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Susanne! I feel like a dork….I’m not exactly sure what you mean. If you have a football shape and you want the end indented, you might use a tungsten pick to push it in a bit?
      …Am I close? 😅

    • @susannehoglund5565
      @susannehoglund5565 2 роки тому +1

      @@scottwoodresearch yes... if start out the footprint a bit wider and want the end shape to look like your “footballs” the ends are sharp....for me that is. If I concentrate the heat at the ends it’ll be just a simple European football!! As in soccers 😂😂😂
