If i was to cut my leg off id probably go for trying to crush the legs to where id need an amputation rather then sawing them off.
Update the easiest way is probably to constrict the blood flow from the legs with rope or string of some sort (the leg gets deprived of oxygen and dies) which will either fall off on it's own or require amputation.
