Hello guys!:) 👋 Today is a bit of a long chill coffee and perfume video (one of my favorites to do with you guys). I wanted to share the set up of my new shelf as well as my current perfume storage. I’m also decluttering my travel sizes and some samples. Sorry for the chattiness, I hope it is not too long!:)

I'm trying to be a minimalist... except for perfume! 😂 I'm trying to limit myself to 40-50, and my friends all have 1-2 😅 why do I love smells so much lol

40-50? 😱 Wau!!!! I have 21 parfumes and about 30 samples and my friends thing about me I’m crazy🙈 because they have about 2-3 parfumes. Every morning I don’t know which one to choose😄. But understand you, Parfumes are a beautiful addiction.😊

Nothing wrong with collecting things that you use and enjoy. The fact that you’re thoughtful about all your choices means you’re practicing mindfulness and that’s the goal IMO. I don’t let others’ judgement of my hobbies stop me from enjoying what I’ve worked hard for. Just 2 cents ;)
P.s. if you want to keep the decants safe from evaporation while you ponder them, add some Teflon tape to the inside seal (Tara/Olfactofiles has a good video). They evaporate more quickly than the 1mL samples, IME.

I've just finished making herbed biscuits to serve with tonights dinner and made a coffee so I could sit down and relax for a few minutes and watch your video before moving on to my next household chore.
I love your minimalistic approach and wish I had your resolve! haha Even though I am very neat and organized, I addmittedly have too much stuff. My fragrances don't sit out in the open so they are not the issue but I have way too many books. I've bought 2 bookshelves from a friend which should solve that probelm. Now, I just have to wait until our "stay-at-home" order is lifted so I can go and pick them up! Luckily, my house is fairly large with high ceilings (built in 1910), so I have ample room to spread things out and avoid congestion and clutter. Your place is just beautiful. Light and airy and really lovely. Magazine worthy! As always, great video!

I can’t believe Olympea did not make your favorites!! I did a blind buy and I’m glad I did. It has such a unique scent somewhat beachy cause of the salt then the sweet hits you.

Gentle fluidity gold for some reason reminds me a lot of mancera roses vanille but rv has way more projection and sillage

Your nice and neat closet has inspired me to FINALLY tackle decluttering my closet tomorrow so I can store some of my perfumes in there. Thanks(?)! Also there's nothing wrong with being a collector! You obviously really enjoy your fragrances, and can remember far more notes than I can about my little collection. I say wear the Collector Badge proudly!

I am just having an afternoon coffee and watching your video. Always so relaxing ☺️ I totally understand what you mean with feeling overwhealmed with your big collection (and mine is even not that big). I kinda start to understand Mark Zuckerberg wanting to have only one t-shirt and not having to choose every day, it gets hard 😁. But I also enjoy sniffing my fragrances and also testing new ones. I love what you did with the storage and display for your fragrances !! We are on the same wave length right now as I just did mine the past weekend and posted a video on that (if you get a chance I hope you watch ,it’s a very short video )
I would say you are a collector, but like myself you are fighting that status ,I really don’t feel comfortable with my collection growing to big !! I think I might do another declutter 🤔

Can you please tell us how many perfumes you have in total not counting the travel sprays? I use to own 180 but after i started watching your videos now i own only 81 lol. I love decluttering and now im very careful what i buy and test them first. Your right if you dont use it why keep them. Before i wouldnt want to give them away so i use to wear all the ones i least like and save the ones i liked but then my taste changed and noticed the ones i use to loves i didnt like them anymore. So i stopped doing that and now I give all of them to my sister and mom. The ones they dont like i take them to work and give them to my coworkers.

I'm going through that phase right now too where I can't decide if I want to simplify or just accept my stash for what it is 😂 I'm all for suggesting you take the plunge with Gentle Fluidity. They have a 1.2 oz for a reasonable (reasonable for MFK standards lol) price and I find it's plenty of juice.

Regarding Clean vs Clean Reserve: They are the same brand technically. However, the Reserve line is much nicer, more elegant and refined in formulation and smell. I truly enjoy some fo the Reserve line of fragrances, whereas the Clean (basic) line, though more affordable, is usually not as pleasant to my nose.
ps -Skin from Clean Reserve is one of my favorite fragrances in general, and from the brand!

I keep most of them depending. If I’m planning to ever sell or declutter or if I think there may be a chance, I usually keep them. I also keep the more expensive ones in case I want to travel with them.
