    People against Gay Rights are no longer worrying about accuracy, honesty, cleverness, or decency in your arguments. There is such desperate 'Sky is Falling' emotion in your silly little lives. Life is better than this. You are just coming across as hysterical Chicken Littles. You don't need to let that become everything you are and all you'll ever be. You are better than that.

    i recently came out and i had to ignore quite alot of bullying, one friend, well he isnt a friend anymore, basically gave me grief, lots of it. in the summer i went on a camp thing and we all walked about in our boxers and he thought i had looked at them all. he said 'i can't believe one of my best mates was gay....'
    i hadn't felt so hurt in my life, i truly thought i had friends and that he was a good friend.
    people that think it's a choice, they can tell me when they decided to be straight.

    Fully agree: already the LGBT rights movement has gained much more momentum than I could have ever imagined. I never thought as a teenager that I'd be able to marry the love of my life (nine years now - which was extremely important for us, because it allowed me to immigrate him from the US to Canada, which otherwise would have been difficult).

    • @BrianStorm742
      @BrianStorm742 10 років тому +3

      cr1m1nalspeed It depends. I am a boy at high school who has a relationship with a boy, feels romantically and sexually attracted to boys and the idea of having sex with a girl almost makes me puke. However, I dress like normal boys, play football (soccer), I like boy things, most of my friends are boys and I hate shopping. So yes, I am gay, but not gay gay
      (This is my standard answer)

    • @BrianStorm742
      @BrianStorm742 10 років тому +6

      cr1m1nalspeed Ah, I see you talked to Scott Lively. You fucking homophobes are just jealous some people are more successful in love than you are, so you come up with ridiculous conspiracy theories to pretend we are some kind of criminals who intend to destroy human race. You react to a video about homophobia, which proves you are a very fanatic homophobe. I know I will not convince you, but I can honestly tell you I am the only gay person I personally know, I never heard of a gay agenda, I don't regret I can't reproduce and I am convinced people cannot be forced to love someone of the gender they don't love. It's just a ridiculous idea that people can only love someone because of what's between one's legs instead of what kind of person someone is. But as I said, I know there will always be ignorant perves like you. The only thing I could suggest you is to write down your theory about gays on a big banner, pay a visit to the Netherlands and show your banner to all people at The Dam square in Amsterdam. I'm sure they won't like you, most of them.
      Yours faithfully,
      A boy who is grateful to have the chance to love who he wants to love and doesn't care who other people love.
      P.S.
      What would have been your reaction if I would have said I was a straight person who just hated homophobes?

    I'm non religious, and yet it's plain as day this woman is driven by a higher power.She's got the whole nation attacking her yet she confidently stands her ground and does not take no for an answer. She wins every debate that she enters, always making more sense than her opponents. She is ultimately for all things good, and not evil. People just can't handle her extremities.There is much to learn from this woman, whether one agrees with her or not. That's how i see it!

    I loved the argument: "Hey, there are proudly gay people and there are proud homophobes." Let's change that to another group-focused emnity.
    "Hey, there are proudly black people and there are proud racists."
    "Hey, there are proudly women and there are proud sexists."
    Yep, seems to work with everyone. Children should really learn that it is okay to be homophobe/racist/sexist. After all, that is not bad, it's merely keeping the balance.

    It's very refreshing to see a Christian with an enlightened view of things. Being from the south, I hear people say all the time "well why would someone choose to be gay?" Which is one of the most rhetorical questions I've ever heard. The reason someone would "choose" to be gay and face constant ridicule and hate is because it's NOT a choice. Or rather, it's a choice between living a lie or being happy. Now not to bash your religion, but in my opinion, a loving God would love all his creations.

    the senator made his first mistake by saying "I'm not gay friendly". That just screams "homophobic". A person can oppose homosexual behavior on moral grounds but omit hatred, bigotry, and unjustified fear of homosexuals. I know plenty of people who, like myself, are religious and fit into this category. They exemplify what Jesus would call LOVE or CHARITY.

    Why do they have 'Land of Hope and Glory' playing in the background? That's stereotypically put with English themed scenes? England is overwhelmingly accepting of ALL people these days. We have some bigoted idiots still walking the streets, but on the whole, we're very much through the worst of homophobia. Once we legalise gay marriage, we'll be a lot closer.

      C Chadwick The song is commonly used in the U.S., and most Americans are probably familiar with the contexts in which it's used. I agree that the people in this clip are morons who lack the capacity for critical thought, but the country is considerably more diverse than England, so your generalization of Americans is inappropriate.

    • @chris060372
      @chris060372 10 років тому

      supertouchme are you sure it's more diverse than England? Do you have the data? England is a pretty diverse country, don't you know? But to be serious, if I may, when I wrote my original comment, I sort of realised I was being overly general, but I thought I'd go with it. People who watch this show would probably be smarter than the average American. Can I just ask why you think America is 'considerably' more diverse than England? Not because it's bigger, I hope.

    People who are gay don't need the "tolerance" of any church. As a gay person, I didn't do anything wrong. I was born gay and knew I was different, from the time I was very very young. Most are born straight, while some are born gay. It's mighty damn straight of any person to have "tolerance" for those who aren't exactly like they are. After all, they are obviously so damn wonderful and perfect. Right? Cram "tolerance" where the sun doesn't shine. We don't ask for or need a church's tolerance.

Gays and lesbians FOUGHT for their right...they FOUGHT for what so many other people take advantage of.

    Homosexuals, Transexuals, and Bisexuals, etc. are still honest citizens of these United States and should be treated the same way as heterosexuals. Public indecency of sexual/crude acts are wrong to do even in pride parades just as they would be for heterosexuals. Their should be no pros or cons to any orientation. Equality is one of the founding principles of this country, and should stay this way.

    The United States is not ruined. There has always been an anti-gay sentiment among a certain percentage of the population. The difference is that now, hateful statements can easily be filmed and posted to the internet more easily, where such statements spread like wildfire. You might take some time to notice the reaction of most young Americans to such ignorance, as opposed to their agreement or indifference just a decade ago. Progress is being made, and it is doing so rapidly.

    Indeed, nature continues to produce gay folks, so thank you for giving credit where credit is due. Being gay, as you correctly state, is totally natural and normal, and so, as it has been throughout the history of humankind, nature will ensure that gay folks are always a part of the species. And, I might add, a fabulous part.

    Let's be clear here. Every medical association has explained homosexuality is a normal variation of human sexuality. It is not a choice. It is not a sickness. The ex-gay leaders admitted in 2013 nobody changed from homosexual to heterosexual (after 40 years of 'change' testimonials).

    folks who have morals and taste do not have to worry about being labeled evil haters. It's the folks who think that being anti-gay is even a defensible position who should expect to be considered pariahs and justifiably labeled as hateful bigots.

    Wrong on both counts: no gods, including Zeus and Poseiden, made a damn thing, and Adam and Steve are a happy, healthy couple who were born gay, grew up gay, and are still gay. And, soon, they'll be gay and legally married.

    What's funny is that the word and concept of homosexuality did not enter the Bible util 1892. Back when the Bible was written it wasn't conceived of a person being gay and capable of a loving relationship with another of the same sex. When it refers to homosexuality it's referring to a practice of idol worship in most cases that was a common practice among pagan beliefs at the time. And if one is curious to know whether God loves gay people look up gay near death experiences, because the overwhelming majority of them are meet with love and no condemnation or judgement for who they are.

    They may not have the numbers to start an uprising, but the unfortunate truth is, they still have the numbers to drag a man, woman, or child into a parking lot and fracture their skull against the curb for whatever sin they've taken upon themselves to decide their most recent victim is guilty of.
