- In this week's Fleet Friday episode, we take you to Station 39 in Castle Pines to get a tour of Brush Engine 39 (Type 3 fire apparatus). The crew also talks about South Metro's Wildland Special Team.
"Should we need to flee... or tactically withdraw" :D :D
d walkman i noticed that too i was like wait a second 😂
But specifically you should tactically adjust to the arena with a tactically specific arena of withdraw given the E equal mc squared variety of fluid pumped over a specific amount of viscous fluid environment.. Give these guys a break man. But yeah I get it. it is kinda funny..!!
More fleet Friday!!! Arm 37? Decon 3? Dive 16 or 3? Mobile Command Post? Tracked Vehicle? Med 1?
I would love to see one of you guys follow this truck to a deployment, and report on everything that happens on a wild land deployment!
just watch a movie like everyone else and expect that to be the realistic. Kidding//
Not very likely, too much happens on a fireground. There are a few wildland fire videos on UA-cam though if you're that interested.
It does look beautiful. It seems to be well equipped for a Brush Engine. I was educational to hear what all the equipment is used for as well as how this rig is designed to operate out in the field. Good to hear you can deploy to different areas to assist other agencies too. Well done video. You all provide a very important service. Thank you.
This truck is amazing. I can't believe all the stuff it carries. I never heard of your dept. before until it showed up as a random suggestion so I started watching your videos for no apparent reason other than stuck at home for covid-19. The firefighter's all appear and present themselves as professionals that really care about the job. The trucks are all in impeccable condition and look well maintained. I've watched about 10 videos so far and can't wait to see what else you show off.
Funny, out of the whole truck the best part for me is those rear posts for flaking the line over between houses. Great idea!
Y’all keep making great videos also, you should make a video about the recruits (or some of them if they were assigned to different stations) you covered in the SMFR Academy series
Hi
@@Fatcat-racing Hi
Hello contemplation master
I would like to see more videos of the stations and the apparatus assigned to the various stations please. I do not expect this to be done overnight. I am thinking this request/suggestion is more of a goal. I would like to see a video of every station and every unit/apparatus that is owned by South Metro Fire Rescue. Even reserve and parade only vehicles. i know there are some videos like what I am suggesting. i would like to see even more of those types of videos also. I think a lot of others who watch this page/Chanel. Thank you. This was in interesting video. Some time when another brush unit has a Fleet Friday video I would like to hear a little more about what some of he wildland tools.
ahnbra station tours
I just wanted to say to the south metro fire crew's you do a very great job and I wanted to say that keep up the good work all of you be safe and careful with this virus that we are fighting .God bless to all of you. Fellow fire fighter from citrus county fla.
I share these videos with my trainees at out 911 center. It’s not our rig but is pretty darn close and very detailed. 👍👍
Wow I watch a ton of fire apparatus vlogs, this was by far one of the best! You not only detailed the truck but some of the gear in the truck. Btw great truck and thanks for your service.
LOL one of the worst MRE's ever, another great video. Thanks
This engine looks like a beast!
Uncle Ed how would you know?
Nice unit
Nice Rig, it's t everything one would need during brush fire season.
When is the. Gear video going to come out?
That engine is awesome!
Wonderful Video!!
Y’all got moneyyyy 😂😂we got a F-150 but we just got a 10 seat custom cab Heavy rescue it’s great 😁
Who needs a canteen when you have MREs.? And on an extended deployment, That fixes the need for TP.
Nice rig and video. Thanks.
Pretty much a Swiss Army knife rig with great features. As a former firefighter/engineer, I primarily worked brush and forest fires throughout California. I'd prefer a dedicated brush rig versus a multipurpose configuration. Someday I should do a video on the type of apparatus that proved to be the most successful throughout the state. Unfortunately, it was never widely adopted because it wasn't as pretty as some of the mainstream offerings.
Did Brush 39 use to be 41 or why is there a number 41 on the inside of the middle compartment?
Very interesting. Thank you for the response!!! Best first responder channel on youtube!!!!

Greetings from the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Does your department have wildland crews, dozers or helicopters for fire attack and trauma evacs?
Nice Fire Truck for fighting wildland fire, nice video. Best wishes Sebastian from Germany
Great video. You guys are killing it w this channel. Really excited to apply for your departments next hiring process. Got my wildland ff certificate for a reason & this is it. See you in 2020 👍 👩🏻🚒 🔥 🌲
I Recommended to them that they should do Brush trucks next for fleet friday
Brush Engine 39 Looks Very Nice
Good work Conner.
What is the use of a pounder pulaski? Why is it important to have that pounder part?
The pounder part of the Pulaski is used to drive in wedges when they are cutting trees down.
Thank you so much for doing a brush
Such a detailed and interesting breakdown of the vehicle. Thanks so much and keep up the great content. Would you ever do a breakdown of the equipment, staffing and function/role of the different vehicles in your department in one video? Thanks
I see Engine 39 responding on Highway 85 quite a bit! Is Brush Engine 39 one that went to California to help with those wildfires?
Well, you have no rakes on your brush engines? Just joking, greetings from Finland. You are doing a great job!
Oh how I miss my old wildland days back in the early 90s. The engines are a lot fancier and the IRPG is a different color now, a few new multi purpose hand tools and the Shake N Bakes are supposed to be (slightly) better. Pretty much everything else hasn't changed to much over the years.
That's a SWEET brush
Been waiting a while for this😊
Are the progressive packs the same as a travis pack?
How do you get these things all over the US
That side mounted M series red lighthead on the front fender probably won't do anything for intersection coverage as itl be so high up you won't see it 😂
When going out of state do you use lights and sirens?
Never drag the nozzles or couplings. They are expensive pieces of equipment. Have someone hold it or take it off while rewinding the hose.
This dude is at Station-19 too.
Nice video
Why I'll put wheel chocks underneath the wheels
Nice Unit
It was very cool of volg
And some videos of everything responding and put them together?
Is it just me, or do the tires look like they need to be bigger?
What are adapters?
:D:D:D:D someone respond :D:D:D :3
They allow different sizes and thread types of hose to be attached to each other.
That's a Wick 375 portable pump, not a Waterax Mark 3 Power pump
I wonder where these guys are now with California, Oregon, and Washington is on fire everywhere in these states 🤔
@@SouthMetroFireRescuePIO Okay, sorry took a while to respond. Just had surgery yesterday and my phone was off.
Id like to see red 3 or dive 3
A Detroit diesel can’t pump as good as that mini thing?
Some brave, brave men. You have to be to run a MaxxForce in a vehicle that could be the only thing between life and death.
It's nice fire truck
Wow that look cool
I’m surprised they don’t have bolt cutters
Hi - can we share your video with our Facebook audience, please? With full credit to your channel ^ JJ
@@SouthMetroFireRescuePIO Thanks! We love your videos ^ JJ
Nice.
who makes your tools?
our class a engine at our department coker creek vfd in tn is a 4x4 international looks a lot like that except its a standard cab with a 1250 gpm pump and a 1,000 gallom tank built by pierce manufacturing www.wncfirepics.com/Tennessee/MonroeCounty/Coker-Creek/ we also have a ford cabover tanker not shown 550gpm pump 1600 gallon tank
To fight wildfires
And maybe a command post and decon
Damn, that’s my local station
I would love to see that truck in are fire department
Sweet rig but don't use plastic nozzles. They can break if dropped on a hard surface and because of the pressure, the brass bafflel, which makes the stream, can shoot out and serious injure or kill someone. its happened. Please educate all your FFs on this so no-one gets hurt. I am a 35 year career FF. Also, don't drag your nozzle when reeling the hose back in. That can damage it too.
I think those are used so that the nozzles don’t overheat. I don’t know for sure, but that’s my theory.
Is it a BME?
Yes, BME.
Can you do a fleet friday on the new engine 44
How much water does it carry?
500 Gallons of water and a 25 gallon foam tank.
Can we have a fleet Friday on a tender or a type 2 brush engine
Clearwater fire rescue No cause you’re straight type two 😂😂😂
does station 39 have a medic unit ??
No, Station 39 does not have a medic unit. The closest medic unit for Station 39 is Medic 36. I believe Engine 39 is one of the few stations for South Metro that has a paramedic and is able to provide immediate ALS care.
DoesSMFD have a he!ocopter?
Slap a Q on it that thing would be a beast
Can y’all make more unscripted videos plz!
Medical aid equipment???
I dont work for south metro, but on federal brush engines we keep a sked, TRS, 10 man kit, and burn kit in a gear bin, along with individual kits on all.of us
That's my name malik

Almost got the first comment
Why don’t America have fire and rescue then have a Bushfire brigade
Brought to you by the most uninteresting man in the world.
Steve Abbott why you here than dumass
maybe interview a crew with a little more character
Chris Smith says a guy that has none
International trucks are the Best trucks! Too bad this one is a Maxxforce :,(
