Starship | 360 Video of Liftoff

- Starship returned to integrated flight testing with its second launch from Starbase in Texas. While it didn’t happen in a lab or on a test stand, it was absolutely a test. What we did with this second flight will provide invaluable data to continue rapidly developing Starship.
On November 18, 2023, Starship successfully lifted off at 7:02 a.m. CT from Starbase in Texas and achieved a number of major milestones, including all 33 Raptor engines on the Super Heavy Booster starting up successfully and, for the first time, completed a full-duration burn during ascent.
This 360-degree view comes from the top of the launch tower at Starbase in Texas, providing a front row seat to watch liftoff of the world’s most powerful launch vehicle ever developed.
Follow us on X.com/SpaceX and go to spacex.com for more on this exciting flight. - Наука та технологія
This is amazing. I hope SpaceX keeps up posting quality content on UA-cam. I miss 4K streams.
I'm just glad they didn't make all their footage exclusive to twitter lmao
I can imagine that Elon is going to add some kind of video service to X one day. They probably going to turn it into a WeChat thing just like they use it in Asia.
@@m1shuC X livestreams for now are alright at best. I have no problem migrating to watching streams on X once they compete with UA-cam.
@@Rickrrrtyeah, maybe he'll call it X Videos
@@m1shuCHow many actually watches launches on X? Im sure SpaceX has taken a large viewer drop since moving to X, and its seems as a desperate way to try to gain some traction to a struggling platform.
Impressive how much faster Starship launched this time, compared to the last first one.
Thats what happens when all 33 raptors are working!
Last time they were still testing the ignition of all the engines at once so they held it down for a few seconds
@@ChosenSquirrel and they shut 3 engines down before the first launch as well
No it was programmed to go faster so it doesn’t blow up the lunchpad
@@mrnoobguy6876 With IFT-1 there was a delay of six seconds until liftoff to allow the ignition of all the Raptors, but with IFT-2 that was reduced to three seconds to minimise potential pad damage (even with the new deluge system).
Seeing the acceleration up close is pretty crazy
How? It's just acceleration.
@@BSnicks Considering you just watched the empire state building taking off, yeah thats crazy
@@AGENT47ist literally 😂
@@AGENT47istshame it blew up, now tourists can see it
@@Maccapacca35 There are many more lined up.
Please, pretty please, do both on youtube and X. I love to watch both for launches and updates. This was the best ever.
Obviously ur new to all this so I'll cut you some slack Xsucks...now if ur a fan you'll know youtube is the place to be...hopefully you learn't something valuable today...harry krishna 🙏🏻
Why should he? I mean think from his perspective. What will elon get from streaming on UA-cam? Some thousands of dollars maybe and some recognition. But what if he posts it on twitter? Viewers that use UA-cam might become permanent users of twitter in large numbers.
@@kirito5547why wouldn't he? not everything has to have a monetary or personal reasoning behind it. youtube is one of the largest social media platforms out there, and limiting the spacex stream to exclusively twitter only harms the visibility and reach of the stream.
@@kirito5547 This UA-cam viewer won't.
@@sjavelin i wrote that spacex will get some recognition earlier didn't you read? But it doesn't matter anymore because the first test launch has already been streamed so the succeeding videos aren't gonna get spacex any significant attention. Elon promoting twitter will get him more benefits. Maybe unless space x does something more significant like an interplanetary test mission, streaming the launches on twitter will benefit him more in every possible way than it will if he streams on youtube. Launching the most powerful rocket ever made on earth is special but only for the first time. A lot of people won't care about the following test flights.
you really need to come back to youtube with the livestreams, twitter is dead
I support Elon and why he is putting it on X
Nah, youtube sucks, x is better
@@thrasher2344no its not bro
I use X regularly but Livestreams suck so much there, bring it back to UA-cam!!
@@J.Karangoagreed. They made a dogs dinner of the stream on x
SO rad. Please do this for every single launch and landing.
Strap the 360 to the booster and ship as well. Let us go up in this marvel. Perhaps they've already done this and it's just pending upload. Fingers crossed.
Those 33 raptors and their white glow really are a jaw-dropping sight. I hope to see the booster return next time. You're getting there!
Yeah, Mars is definitely in StarShop's future.
According to NASA, we'll be seeing ~20 of these launches in 2024 as it gets ready to be at the moon for Artemis.
@@jakehix8132not in 2024.
Probably around 2026
That might be the coolest rocket 360 video ive ever seen!
Incredible.... please keep uploading to youtube Space X
Very cool. Thanks SpaceX. Please, if possible, show some on-board views next from IFT2.
Forward mount for separation to watch Starship depart.
Who says they didnt?
@@JayGillyonI haven't seen any 😢
Yes!! Especially the hot staging!!!
@@JayGillyon They Starlink feed didnt work from what I heard which is why we didnt get any footage onboard
Well done SpaceX crew well done 👍
This is absolutely breathtaking! I have watched it at least 10 times in slow motion too. Looking in every possible direction. Taking a sneak peak into the tower facing away from the rocket as it launches gives you the feeling you are standing just right there in the tower. Truly amazing! THANK YOU Space-X for sharing this! It almost feels like you could touch the rocket, especially with a VR headset on!
I'm ready to leave work and throw on my quest 2 lol
More of this please, because the twitter video and stream quality feels like time travel to the early 2000s
Kudos to the cameraman, that's amazing
cameraman now im a bit toasty
Woah, this is insane! Whoever thought to install a 3D camera on the tower is a genious
Watching this in 360 VR in 4K on the Quest 3 browser is incredible.
if only the official youtube app actually worked properly for quest 3..... Biggest name in vr and they cant get the single most important app updated lmao
Yes, awesome would love to see some on board video next flight if possible.
Yea!! I always find that the coolest! I keep seeing random people with onboard video somehow, yet I can't find any sources from SpaceX that has onboard video. It's weird.
Check out the glowing edge of the launch mount after the smoke clears!
id say a small fire happened or it was that hot in that one spot
@@Rasheed1494yup, certainly looks like a fire since the booster QD cover isn't even glowing and that got the most heat by far.
My random, armchair expert opinion is that there was damage inside the ring of the OLM that cause a hydraulic leak, or similar. It's that fluid that's burning.
Saw this in person. Might've been the best thing I've seen. Had to stop and park so I could see this liftoff. T shook my car a little, but what was cool was I heard it from where I was. It was awesome
Wow! You get a really good view of the OLM in this video. Really cool, I hope to see more of these kinds of videos on future launches!
Yeah the OLM was glowing towards the end there surprised they haven't added water for sound and heat suppression to it .
This is remarkable, thanks for sharing spaceX!
Blue Origin: Launches a single engine suborbital rocket which explodes mid-flight.
SpaceX:
this also exploded mid-flight though
All I want for Christmas is for Spacex to come back to UA-cam
This is a seriously epic view of liftoff
Can’t wait for the 360 video of the next moon walk!
So much power!!
Wow!!!!! I'm 61 and have been an avid fan of space exploration all my life and I've spent most of my life thinking I would never see a rocket the size of a Saturn V launch again (we were told they wouldn't be necessary). Now, not only to be seeing an even larger rocket launch but with this level of interaction: I'll be honest, it always brings tears to my eyes.
We need these more often please make more that are also longer ❤
it doesn't get much cooler than this!
Seven seconds to fly its own length, 121 m... so the acceleration was about 5 m/s2, reaching 35 m/s in that time. 5000 tons doing 0-60 in 5.4 seconds, yeehah!
I hope the next launch doesn't take as long to happen. Hoping for the best!
Thanks for the amazing video! Go spacex!
We need on board footage!!
Amazing!!! And it's possible to see the sqd arm during launch!! So cool
Fantastic! you can see the QD arm getting bent on lift off
I didn’t even realize it was 360 till I picked up my phone at the end of the video and saw the background moving, very cool.
Magnificent! I hope to see it IRL someday.
I love it!!!
Now please please please return to streaming on UA-cam and give us more of the engineer cams on both stage 0 and ship.
Hence proved cameraman never dies
wooooow! 33 engines!
Awesome. Congratulations to SpaceX❤❤🚀🚀👍🏼
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
The Starship looks super cool, it is fascinating to see how much space travel has improved over the years, I wish SpaceX the best of luck with this upcoming project!
WOW! How frigging awesome is that? 10/10 for coolness!
we need more 360 looks good
Well done, guys. I can't wait for the next flight - it's gonna be so wild.
Amazing footage SpaceX! Keep it up!
Can’t wait to see them catch that booster.
Thanks for uploading to UA-cam! Plz don't abandon this platform! We Need More SpaceX here ;)
Please livestream next launch on UA-cam 🙏
mind blown ,, best views are keeping the angle either all the way down or all the way up (both are truly epic)
UA-cam is just not the same anymore without your LIVE launch feeds here. Please come back.
Please come back on UA-cam for live launches...
This is epic! All it needs is some binaural audio for the full experience. Also shame the livestream wasn't posted on UA-cam, luckily Tim Dodd did! :)
do you want your ears to be blown out of your head
@@Rasheed1494👍yup!
When SpaceX had streams on YT, I had EDA, NSF and SpaceX all open at the same time. Now I have EDA and NSF. SpaceX shooting themselves in the foot is probably good for the others numbers. But also for the spam channels, which is unfortunate
Elli in Space also had it.
Best 360 video ever!
Please SpaceX release more footage like this!
Amazing!! This is awesome, you can see the force of the sonic boom as the engines light too!
Well spotted! I didn't see it on any of the dozen replays I watched until I went back and looked again after reading your comment, and there it was!
very stable and very clean burning. impressive
Thank you for sharing. The view down to the OLM is amazing!
I watched the livestream on X and the quality was great! Go SpaceX!!
Wow, that absolutely leaped off of that pad! Makes the Saturn V look like slow motion.
it also helps that its way more powerful the the saturn 5 now how much more i dont know off the top of my head
@@Rasheed1494 It's double the power of the Saturn V
The reason it leaps off the pad is because it has a high thrust to weight ratio. 1.5 afaik
Es espectacular, una maravilla
Awesome as always
This has got to be the most brilliant videos I have ever seen. Wow.
That’s a dangerous perspective to view the launch from! I love it! Makes you feel like the cameraman… it’s nice to survive that shot.
What? Oh, I thought you were serious.
@@jraykc the cameraman always survives…
@@beansdad70Can't tell if you're joking, but there's no cameraman up there.
@@tedwilliams8879 it’s an old joke. Anytime there is a dangerous video shot, the long-standing joke is about the cameraman being the only survivor. Tons of meme’s out there.
Sin palabras, muy emocionante, maravilloso
Absolutely thrilling and stunning to see the video in 360°! I watched it several times for so many angles incredibly cool way to go to SpaceX🤩🤩
This in incredible! I make 360 video's for a living but something like this is next level
Incredible to see it from this perspective! amazing work done by a team of incredible people! Thank you 🙏🏼
CosmicPerspective got plenty of VR videos from plenty of spacex milestones if you are interested.
Gives me chills!
Glad you're back on YT
This is by far the coolest vr view i've ever seen wow
Beautiful 🇺🇸🚀
We want onboard footages !!!
Simply awesome. thanks for pulling the world into a new realm of space exploration. 👏👏👏👏🎉
EPIC!!! Looking forward to the next launch.
Thank you. And congratulations for the remarkable test flight on Saturday.
This is amazing! Just don't stop! What you are doing is necessary for all of humanity, and no one but you is capable of such a thing. Therefore, do not stop!
Love looking up and seeing the glory of all those engines in unison.
Way to go, SpaceX!
A beast of a rocket for sure.
The extreme heat of 33 raptor engines has now turned me into a perfectly golden toast 🍞
Almost like watching Saturn V launch 🤩
Finally they replicated the famous pad camera from the Apollo program with modern technology!
Yes. Way more power but the Saturn is still the king of brutal power.
Well, that was just to cool.
More of these!
That's insane. Go SpaceX Team!
Unbelievable POV!!!!
I can't beging to comprehend the epicness of this shot. Thanks Elon
Wow… amazing honestly. SpaceX is the only reason I’m excited for anything Space related.
That was incredible! Thank you!
...you're not winning any fans live streaming this exclusively on Twitter X. Just sayin'...
but the big guy makes more money that way so they don’t care ☠️
imagine the first mars landing being streamed exclusively on X ☠️☠️☠️

Thank you! This is amazing!
My order for Starlink was just confirmed this morning. Thank you.
I am lost for words! Congratulations SpaceX! 💛
Congratulations SpaceX!
Looking forward to more flights.
Good job! Next Star Ship! I'm very much looking forward to it.
This is the coolest thing since bread came sliced.
I'm going to watch this every day, just to cheer up in the morning :-)
Real life, not a Hollywood movie. Gives me excited chills hearing the rumble and seeing the rocket take off.
Imagine if we could have had this type of viewing experience for the Saturn 5 and Space Shuttle launches!
that would of been cool to watch if they had that kind of stuff back then
Not 360 but there are a lot of close-up hq colored vids of Saturn 5 and Space Shuttle online.
One of the coolest things I’ve seen in ages. Way to go space X ❤️ from 🇬🇧
Absolutely amazing! Huge congratulations to the SpaceX team.
Fabulous ❤ Thank you
