For anyone asking about multiples- this appears to be multiples of 6+4. I wanted 4 shells instead of 5 to make the scarf a little more narrow and chained 24 plus 4 more and followed the pattern as stated- skip 7 and 5DC into the stitch: skip 2 add a DC: skip 2 chains and 5DC: skip 2. The very first chain will have the single double Crochet. Chain 3 and turn your work.

Feel need to add that the thing that makes this pattern is that it works equally well with a very fine yarn and a thick bulky yarn. Incredibly versatile and works up beautifully. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I thoroughly enjoyed this perfect tutorial and making this lovely scarf. I have watched many of your fine tutorials and have ended up with a beautiful project every time. Your teaching is very clear and concise. Your stitch work is simply beautiful. Thank you for taking the time that goes into making each of your perfect videos. I know it must be a lot of work and I am extremely grateful for you. You have basically taught me how to crochet, something I have wanted to do for many years, but never thought I could. You have helped me realize a great dream and fill my wardrobe and home with beautiful items. Thank you Blossom, you are truly a blessing. Again, thank you so much from the U.S. I worked this pattern up in Hobby Lobby Sugarwheel in the color way "Go Go Cocoa" and it is stunning. Warm brown, olive green, rust, and tan. Absolutely gorgeous!.

Easy enough for a novice like me to take as a car project too when I'm not driving. I was a bit worried about joining up the ends but it was surprisingly easy also. Will doing more of these for prezzies.

Hi, when I do my foundation chain of 34 my first row never ends with one shell as the last stitch. I'm using a bulky #5 yarn. I tried a 6mm needle and a 8.0mm. Does matter if the last stitch end up in being a shell. Thanks!
