The most terrifying thing in this show in my opinion was the gems that were forced to fuse. The fact that they tried to split Garnet apart when she was weakened with fear. Garnet. Had. Fear.
IKR? (Ik Im late to the party, I binged the whole series recently and am re binging it.) The forcing of fusions is horrible and all of those little arm and leg things and seeing Garnet almost split apart, and how actually full of worry she was was jsut... swadfghjkl
I think Steven opening the damn door and just seeing Lapis's head peer up with a waterfalls coming out of her eyes and mouth was the creepiest. Especially when the backround changed
The scariest thing is definitely that one scene from adventures in light distortion god Steven was screaming having a panic attack and saying "dad....dad......*crys* I WANT MY DAD!" God this is not a kids show now
Jasper's corruption.. its one thing to see the gems fight an already corrupted gem, but to actually see a character become corrupted... it seriously gave me chills
Yeah... It certainly wasn't as bad as I expected (I was expecting the imagery and sound effects to be similar to, if not worse than Cat Fingers) but it still gets me.
especially when you see why it's being sped up she's not supposed to talk about Pink Diamond thats what agitated the corruption and an on going theory that may indeed have some merit if it's to make sense of the corruption song to begin with that it hits you physically emotionally and finally mentally Blue Diamond is obivously the emotional Yellow seems to be physical but then that leaves the one we don't know nor seen this entire time but who gets referenced alot in the murals and even at Home World you see her sillouhette as if saying she's there but is not to be mentioned ever
So Many Birthdays? Frybo and Catfingers were pretty jarring, but the atmosphere of Steven aging uncontrollably and the gems trying to cope with his rapidly approaching death was heartbreaking and creepy on all levels. When Pearl was dressed up, she acted as if she knew Steven was a goner and could really do nothing about it. And with Garnet, seeing this episode again after knowing about future vision, Garnet must have seen a likely scenario of Steven actually dying, because she even lost her cool and broke down as well.
Ryu Tama i just rewatched it. I never realized! Its really true, it gave me the chills, Garnet, moreover Sapphire, is usually really calm, but even she was freaking out. It was... eerie and creepy to say the least..
The worse implication is that the Gems really didn't know how to help Steven out when he was on the verge of death. They only found a solution AFTER Steven started getting mad at them arguing.
The fusion experiments made me feel so sick and sad, especially because of how Garnet was so horrified by it. I felt so awful for her. Though one of my favorite things about this show is how they placed Malachite in the ocean since it is a stone that gets toxic when placed in water. A nice subtle reference to how bad their relationship was for both of them.
Before they even became monstrous, they were wailing for help! They never wanted to be an experiment or neither shattered. In "Gem Drill", it's shown that the shattered pieces don't know they are others around them, that's why they're trying to find their pieces. Steven made the Cluster realize there are others around and that they don't have to worry. That would also probably work for the experiments, except their fusing.
I think Lapis in general is just scary. She's strong enough to turn an entire ocean into a pole just so she can attempt to reach homeland, and made duplicates of each of the crystal gems that were super powerful, all while her gem is cracked. She held Jasper prisoner for months, and admitted to enjoying torturing Jasper. Jasper herself held actual respect for her saying she's the only one who can handle her, and begging Lapis to get back with her. Add all of her strength to being a bit emotionally unstable, and somewhat selfish and I'm sure she can do a lot more damage than we've seen. I'm just glad she's living with Peridot. They seem to be getting along well ;)
So, none of you think the creepiest thing is the episode "too many birthdays" when steven learns that his age changes depending on his emotions and he keeps aging until he's really old and the crystal gems try everything to make him younger but he just keeps aging until he's about to die? Cause i sure fucking do ugh that gave me such a depressing feeling
Ikr? That episode and the one where he morphs his fingers into cats. The whole 2nd half of that episode where he starts rapidly mutating into a cat monster and the music that plays- adfghyj I hate it.
This is probably messed up, but I found it a little funny lol. Just seeing Pearl screaming and smashing a pie in her face, and Amethyst saying “are you trying to kill him faster?!?!” And Garnet just picking him up and shaking him. I kinda found that pretty funny, but I can definitely see why people get emotional from it
Personally I think the scariest thing is that Steven is just a child and he has to live through all these terrifying events, yet he still smiles and laughs like it's all fun and jokes. I mean, he was kidnapped and taken from his PLANET in Jailbreak! If you were abducted by scary aliens that wanted you dead you'd think the first thing you'd do is cry or panic, but not Steven! He doesn't even have Future Vision to prepare himself for everything that's being thrown at him, yet he still handles it as if everything is a dream. It's even shown in some episodes the psychological toll all this trauma doing to Steven... I can't imagine how messed up he'll be when he's an adult, or if the Gems are ever shattered or poofed and lost forever.
I don't think Steven ages, I mean, according to one of his birthday episodes(sorry, I forgeot what its called) it shows that Steven stopped ageing, or at least his body stopped ageing at age 8.
Little Snuggle ur right plus in SU future steven copes with his feelings with plants and says that they won’t leave him. He needs a therapist or someone to talk to

More terrifying thing: the corruption song. In Monster Reunion, Centipeedle tells her story of how she got corrupted. She said in the war she got orders to flee but was left behind. Then when Centipeedle mentions this song we can hear the sound of the warp pad. So that means the warp pad must be a recording of the cries of corrupted gems as they became corrupted...just a hunch.
The cluster is really messed up if you think about it. That would be like if someone took your family/friends, cut them up, and glued them back into another person. Best friends arm, co workers leg, cousins neck etc. that is really disturbing.
actually the cluster wouldn't be like creating a Frankenstein's monster. That's too small scale and definitely too anthropomorphic. It would actually be like taking the entire population of Afroeurasia and crushing all of them then taking any salvageable parts and using them to create something more akin to the Dunwich Horror, or even Yog-Sothoth if you had enough body mass. It would be a mess that would induce madness just from looking at it. Forget what it could do if it tried. The cluster would destroy us before it even knew we existed
The scariest thing in SU? Probably Amethyst, or any gem, really, when they're cracked- the glitching, the mirror-like eyes, the backwards speech. It just gives me the creeps.
Frybo is absolutely horrifying especially considering this is a *children's* show, but I think the most horrifying thing of SU is the psychological implications of the fusion experiments. Imagining that the cluster is a mash of thousands of bodies and souls, as well as it basically being mass orgy rape. Ugh!! *shivers*
@@kaiwatson1183 fusion can symbolise different things. sometimes in show it was used to talk about sex-related topic (consent, sexual abuse), and other times it was just about communication between friends or family.
You understood it wrong, the hand didn't try to fuse with garnet. The scene was just so disturbing and unbearable, causing garnet almost not be able to keep being fused anymore
The cat episode was terrifying in every single aspect. It started as a normal happy episode but it got darker and darker. The climax scene has great animation and made a huge impact on the audience, which I think is a win. But it's still a kid's show and I'm not sure if as a kid I wouldn't have had nightmares with many of the things displayed in some episodes. No wonder in my country it only airs at midnight and they only repeat the same happy episodes over and over.
This show is too underrated. Give it a shot and then maybe you might like it! I never liked it at first but then after watching a few episodes I became interested.
I think that scene where steven passes out while on the mission to destroy the cluster should be on here. Steven just starts hyperventilating outta nowhere and the screen flashes black with all these... tortured souls flying up and THE BACKGROUND MUSIC geez i cant believe i didnt remember it earlier
I'd probably rate the Fusion Experiments 1. Because just think about it. Having to live in constant pain because you are only just one piece of your own gem. Because when gems fuse, they have both their full gems, but those things are just like...ugh. And that frybo episode. Jeezems. o3o
well, they actually did a reference to The End of Evangelion in that episodd where Steven helps Kiki fight her pizza nightmares. I could not believe it when i saw that lol
I think the scariest thing for me is the corruption song that was mentioned in "Monster Reunion" and "Same Old World".we still don't know much about it to make it worse
Great video! I personally think the most scariest scene in Steven Universe was cat fingers. The clustered gems were pretty scary but cat fingers takes the cake. The only upside to that episode was the fact that it was Joel Hodgson's character (Mayor Dewey) first appearance. I love cats but SU made begin to question that... keep up with the good videos! :D
+Jane B Oh yeah, the cat fingers was absolutely terrifying o.o I'm a cat lover too so that made it really hard to watch. But yeah, I am glad to see Joel in the show. Thanks for your comment! ^^
Cat Fingers was my introduction to the series; my little brother had been watching it for a while, but I never really pay attention to what he watches since most of it is stupid stuff like Uncle Grandpa. When it was on and I couldn't find the remote, my brother wasn't around, so I just watched the end before my show came on. Cat Fingers was the episode...and I only saw the part when he comes up to Greg and goes through the carwash, I had seen nothing beforehand. This was terrifying, and definitely didn't get me into the show. No, On the Run was the episode that got me into it...But Cat Fingers is one of my favorite episodes now, I love the scary stuff! X3
personally the thing I found the most terrifying was the aftermath of garnet having a show down with the gem fusion experiment. Her argument resembled pure insanity, what it could of been like in the mind of the depressed. the two speaking sides of her where like the two sides negative and positive fighting over who would be the better suitable host for the situation. it's just plain creepy..
Ronaldo was right about everything if you re-watch the series! The great diamond authority, how they want to hollow out the earth... I couldn't believe it when I found out!
***** I think her eyes are cute. honestly you can make anything scary if you squirt enough blood on them. I'm just imagining pearl white eyes blood on her dress holding decapitated teddy bear or lion oh or steven's head aw that would be creepy
Aiden Nelson yeah but thats because the previus design of the gem had not yet been made because it whas not relevant to the episode. however you can clearly see in both amethysts and pearls reformings siluets of their previus designs. sorry for bad engrisch
***** Well the gem does not need to be cracked to become corrupted, i mean look at Every single Corrupted gem we have. Does a single one of them have a crack? No
+Namiko Sama Well... That is the thing we dont know. All we know is that it is not caused by cracks since Amethyst and Lapis would get corrupted then and that no corrupted gem we know has cracks
the scariest thing Steven Universe it is one one of the writers created an alternate universe where Steven got cancer and even though he always tryed to keep a smile on his face he know he was going to die and and after his death the gyms soon followed him and shattered their own gems it was the saddest and scariest thing I've ever watched watched
LostSoul I watch that one too, but if you watch it a few times then you’ll probably get use to it... good it’s fake...(right???) *WHERE’S MY CAKE* (If I have a voice you’ll understand)
I think the fusion experiments are by far the most terrifying thing in SU. The first time we see them, with that music *shiver* and Garnet's horrified reaction is just...wow. And know that they are all parts of dead gems.... Cat fingers comes in second for me though. The terror in Greg and Steven's voices in that scene make it so much worse. I'm also surprised you didn't mention the episode where steven ages to an old man, and pretty much almost dies. I guess it's not so much visually scary as it is psychologically scary... but that one would have made my list too. I didn't think Malachite was scary at all...intense yeah, but not scary.
+CampingforCool41 YES the one where Steven ages! That was so hard to watch! The other gems were so scared they could hardly keep themselves together. Amethyst shell shocked; Pearl barely being able to look at him yet trying to make him laugh, crying the whole time; and worst of all Garnet acting irrationally... It was scary and very unsettling to see the characters like that.
Top 10 Scariest Things in Gravity Falls: (spoiler warning, I guess) 10. Giffany 9. Dipper's deal with Bill in "Sock Opera" 8. The ghosts in "The Inconveniencing" (before they're revealed to be an old couple) 7. Ford's dream at the start of "The Last Mabelcorn" 6. The Summerween Trickster 5. The monster in "The Tooth" (from Dipper's Guide to the Unexplained) 4. The Shapeshifter, particularly its Dipper/Mabel combination 3. The ghost in "Northwest Mansion Mystery" 2. Weirdmageddon (if I listed individual moments it would take up most of the list) 1. The airing schedule
the concept of it was so cool and scary and tbh i think cartoon networks just didnt want to fund animating but probably mostly because it was f u c k i n g s c a r y
honestly Steven universe wasn't made for kids that's why it's really famouse because it's mostly teens and adults who watch this little bundle of joy in my life
I don't know if you guys thin k the same but I think Lapis is terrifyingly amazing character. I mean she took the whole ocean and humans only uncovered 5% of the ocean. The ocean has a lot of mass if I am correct she is one of the most powerful gems we seen before. Then they was a scene with her restraining Jasper and she is in control. Jasper said Lapis was a monster while fused. If fusion is kind of like a relationship then Malachite is kind of a abusive relationship. Its crazy to think Lapis is the abusive one while Jasper is the victim. It's scary that Lapis loved to be in control and Jasper loved her that way. But I still love her, the emotions get to me and the way she looks. (I oddly love her voice).
I honestly think the music is the scariest thing about Steven Universe. SU is usually a lighthearted show, but during some moments, an obviously darker tone appears. Along with this comes creepy, often unsettling music (see: "Malachite" and "Gem Shards")
When you said that the fusion experiments weren't even attacking, but seemed to reach out for something, it's literally that : they are reaching out, in hope to find their own shards, and be whole again.
+Fruiti Hooti I dunno, I think it's a bit of instinct, but she scares me. Expecialy in Cry For Help, because she, besides the huge amount of power that she already has, is mad as heck, and that makes even more scared of her.
+Mr Spider That and the fact that she nearly killed Steven and Pearl, especially since her components, Garnet and Amethyst, care so deeply for them. Sugalite is not a good fusion.
The most scariest thing is how almost EVERYONE rather Rose than Steven. It's like... they're always saying "You're fine, but you're not her." And he's like "It's ok. I understand." But poor Steven, he's just 14!
The forced fusions were definitely the creepiest for me. I've been in the fandom for a while but only just got back into it after Change your Mind, and read about the fusions on the wiki. I was assuming they would just be two actual Gems mashed together in creepy ways, but no. I never really found anything else really weird or unsettling in the show, though Frybo is really weird. Jasper's entire corruption was really weird too, and a little creepy in my opinion -- maybe it's just me because she's one of my favorite characters, idk. There are elements of the entire show that shouldn't belong in a show rated TV-Y7 or whatever its rating is.
I like Mala’s theme It’s the perfect blend of unsettling and badass which let’s be honest fits Malachite perfectly It feels like it has everything that made the escape part from Revenge Of Meta Knight in Kirby Super Star so intense (Including those god damn sirens)
I'm not sure why, but the one scary thing that really stuck to me were the fusion experiments. It was probably Garnet's reaction to them. Her face is heartbreaking, and imagining what could have been going on in Ruby and Sapphire's minds at that moment is terrifying.
Luna Skyle ... My point being that OTGW is a lot more terrifying than Steven Universe... (In my opinion, of course. Is that what you wanted me to say, or...?)
+Sp00kyGhost - Nothing the thing with Gravity Falls and Over The Garden Wall is that those shows were made to have a more darker and creepy like atmosphere. Steven Universe appears to have an atmosphere not so bad. It was made to look more elegant more free so sometimes what makes Steven Universe creepier is that you don't expect it. I mean come on, the first episode was about a kid who thought he could activate his powers with ice cream
( WARNING, SOME SPOILERS AHEAD!! ) Personally, the scariest thing is how when Steven opened the door, Lapis was there crying and screaming, yes, she was I fact screaming on the inside, this shows obsession, depression, and insanity about trying with everything you have to protect the ones you love most from truth or something else. It is also very scary that when Lapis got distracted from being in control, that Jasper suddenly appears, this represents that the littlest things can make you turn into something terrifying.. This, or either when in the newest episodes, Steven has a dream that sends him into Blue Diamond's mind and feelings, showing him that she is grieving over the loss of Pink Diamond and is crying her tears. Or maybe vise versa.. Where Blue Diamond goes into Steven's mind and sees how great his life was, and how his mom, Rose, was the one to shatter Pink Diamond, but is now living in luxury and is making him cry her tears
Jasper's smile is so unsettling, the way it goes up to her ears......and the way her eyes curl up.....anyway, it is really creepy....possibly the most creepy smile ever....including Jeff the killer.
Fusion experiments Scary dreams Onion Malachite Glitch city Cats taking over someone's body Temporary AND permanent death Frybo The missing piece Abusive relationships Trauma Corrupted gem monsters War "Kids show!"
The most scariest thing is the plot. Diamond Origins were only seen for an episode or two, but there are still so many questions which haven't been answered. Pink Pearl's eye, Pink Diamond';s tantrums and aggressiveness and how she could be the most powerful diamond after all. Pearl knows stuff that she doesn't want to share for a reason. This is a kid's show, just the kids don't realize how incredibly eery and mysterious the creepy plot of Steven Universe is. The show has been pulling so many strings on Steven and only in Future he goes to therapy and realizes how much trauma he's been through. The spookyness has been brought up so many times but covered for 6 seasons because of the Crystal Gems and his gem family keeping secrets. White Diamond in Future acts like nothing happens when she knows stuff no one knows. She may have put it behind her, but that's because she's very old. She knows how to deal with trauma and the past. She has seen so many things and has been acting like nothing ever happened because the Crystal Gems know nothing about it.
Seeing the tortured, white-eyed, screaming faces when Steven and Peridot were trying to stop the cluster was pretty freaky to me.And to be completely honest, the show has made me feel even more guilty about wearing jewellery. :[
IF YOUR NIT CAUGHT UP TO THE MOST RESENT STEVEN UNIVERSE EPISODE DONT READ! (SPOILERS): I totally agree with you on the whole "lingering horror" thing. the cluster was never destroyed it just bubbled itself with the help on Steven. like what if the cluster changes its mind and forms? like I know that a gem can't do anything inside a bubble but what about thousands of gem shards? idk I'm just saying that I agree about the spookiness of Steven universe
Well see here's something else to think about, and you said it yourself; the cluster BUBBLED ITSELF. If it were to change it's mind and form, then... it probably wouldn't have an issue popping it's own bubble to start with, but... I get the feeling there's more to it, like that one of the Diamonds is going to be involved to try and forcibly persuade the Cluster...
I have a theory that Jasper might somehow mess with the cluster, since she fell down a fissure. Although I'm unsure how she'd survive going through the mantle
+SakuraCourageSolo but it could be another malachite type thing where there are still some gems that want to emerge and they convince the other gems so it will continue emerging
The most terrifying thing in this show in my opinion was the gems that were forced to fuse. The fact that they tried to split Garnet apart when she was weakened with fear. Garnet. Had. Fear.
yeah making garnet scared is some pretty damn good talent.
Yea, and that theme tho!
It was ruby

Same and when Steven was having dreams and all of a sudden Lapis was outside the door with water gushing out of her eyes and mouth.
Me too. It makes me think about the horrible experiments on human beings that occur in the WW2 :(
that noise at the end of the kindergarten is the most unsettling for me. it just gets louder/closer and then just cuts off. uegh
If i ever try to picture myself there or near any of the gem fusion experiments i can just imagine myself being scared to the point of fainting

@@kaiwatson1183 fusion can symbolise different things. sometimes in show it was used to talk about sex-related topic (consent, sexual abuse), and other times it was just about communication between friends or family.
Onion is literally the worst. that thing can give you nightmares

+Z Gwynn OMYGOD AND FRYBO. NO. JUST NO.
+Z Gwynn
gem chards fusion is the worse cuz...you know...it just...YOU KNOW
Oh, noice Peridot reference
Um, no... Courage the Cowardly Dog, holy crap, that was terrifying when I was watching it as a kid.
What really creeped me out was that kind of hand cluster that wanted to fuse Garnet in I mean I saw that episode at night what was even worse
You understood it wrong, the hand didn't try to fuse with garnet.
The scene was just so disturbing and unbearable, causing garnet almost not be able to keep being fused anymore
+Kingdom18Key ow so i just didnt get it coz i was tired i mean it was like midnight
+Shawna Schaefer don't worry it wasn't really obvious anyway!
+Kingdom18Key heh ok
Shawna Schaefer that was also a scary episode
The Cluster wasn't as terrifying as expected.
I thought it was going to be a giant rose stuck in the middle of the earth XD
Ghost boo I thought it would be all the gems that died from the war.
Rinako Akatsuki o.o
+Rinako “Nova_Universe” Akatsuki that's what it is
The Fusion Gamers Oh
When the theme song plays I just think "this is a mask to hide the horrors within"
The cat episode was terrifying in every single aspect.
Nazz mk I feel like the only one who wasn't exactly horrified by Cat Steven
i find it cute
Nazz mk you could say it was a catastrophe
Nazz mk i
i have traumas since adventure time so steven universe makes it worse sometimes lmao
This show is too underrated. Give it a shot and then maybe you might like it! I never liked it at first but then after watching a few episodes I became interested.
Same. I was watching the first few episodes on Hulu and then I got hooked.
That's the same with me I thought it's one of those dumb kid shows and when I watched two episodes I was addicted
Yeah, I didn't give many CN cartoons a chance after the horrors of..
Teen titans go.
But then after Steven Universe I regained my faith in modern cartoons, but there's still
Pickle and Peanut..
But a lot of people still don't give it a chance ;-;
I think that scene where steven passes out while on the mission to destroy the cluster should be on here. Steven just starts hyperventilating outta nowhere and the screen flashes black with all these... tortured souls flying up and THE BACKGROUND MUSIC geez i cant believe i didnt remember it earlier
Sara A this was made before that
@@malachiteyesterday8659 This was also made before White Diamond which I Think is Pretty Disturbing Alone...

I'd probably rate the Fusion Experiments 1.
Because just think about it.

I always have the feeling theres a little bit of neon genesis evangelion in steven universe, and that creeps me out a bit.
well, they actually did a reference to The End of Evangelion in that episodd where Steven helps Kiki fight her pizza nightmares.

You're welcome :3
+Jane B I kinda wish i had at least 1 of the cat fingers for my own ~=(^w^~)= they are really cute
Cat fingers was actually the first episode of SU I saw, never saw he full hung though. Seeing the full thing just ruined it
Middle of the night, and then a WEEPING ANGEL POPS UP SCARES ME TO DEATH BUT I STILL WATCH THE VIDEO AND DONT BLINK...blink and your dead
I just kept staring till its gone i dont like those weeping angel statues

+Musical Joy same
+Fandomtrash Otaku I spend the night reading fanfic s and watching anime *sigh
+Musical Joy WHAT TIME IS THE JUMPSCARE???
personally the thing I found the most terrifying was the aftermath of garnet having a show down with the gem fusion experiment. Her argument resembled pure insanity, what it could of been like in the mind of the depressed. the two speaking sides of her where like the two sides negative and positive fighting over who would be the better suitable host for the situation. it's just plain creepy..
ONION IS A SNEEPLE,
OH MY GOD RENALDO WAS RIGHT ABOUT THE SNEEPLE
OMG

SOMEONE MAKE THIS PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
Bio Hazard YES YES SOMEONE PLZ FOR ALL OF THE FANDOM!!!!
well there has to be other animatronics maybe the crystal gems? I cant see them being scary though hmmmm
***** I think her eyes are cute. honestly you can make anything scary if you squirt enough blood on them. I'm just imagining pearl white eyes blood on her dress holding decapitated teddy bear or lion oh or steven's head aw that would be creepy
Now you NEED to add White Diamond.
SHE IS CREEPY AS HECK.
4:15 did anyone else see the slight shape of a human-gem???
yes
every time a gem reforms they go through all their past designs by the animators. look it up
+MIXPIX Fishy that isn't what was happening. The gem was reforming, but the corruption took over and changed it before it could Finnish
+Aiden Nelson thanks!!!
Aiden Nelson yeah but thats because the previus design of the gem had not yet been made because it whas not relevant to the episode. however you can clearly see in both amethysts and pearls reformings siluets of their previus designs. sorry for bad engrisch
Did you notice when the mother Centipeetle was regenerating it first took a humanoid form?
That is probably The form she had before her corruption
Yeah
***** Well the gem does not need to be cracked to become corrupted, i mean look at Every single Corrupted gem we have. Does a single one of them have a crack? No
+Namiko Sama Well... That is the thing we dont know. All we know is that it is not caused by cracks since Amethyst and Lapis would get corrupted then and that no corrupted gem we know has cracks
how could you not?
Steven universe scary moments?? Clearly you haven't seen Adventure Time, now that is hella creepy
yeah, not in competition with steven universe.
ahem, STEVEN UNIVERSE FUTURE ANYONE???
OH GOD YES.
Andventure time is TERRIFYING
the scariest thing Steven Universe it is one one of the writers created an alternate universe where Steven got cancer and even though he always tryed to keep a smile on his face he know he was going to die and and after his death the gyms soon followed him and shattered their own gems it was the saddest and scariest thing I've ever watched watched
where to see that??
Alice Lee just look up on UA-cam steven universe has cancer and u should find it but if I where u dontcwatch it I think about it almost every day
marcus michales That was just a theory and a hoaxe -_-

+elgon6 Aww, that's so sweet! Thank you! I'll do my best!
Frybo is terrifying I would put him at number one
+Brittany Brode BOO
+Joy Lew imagine if frybo was combined with the gem experiments (every Steven univers fan scared for life)😢
+Lilly Newey Also how about jasper fusing with the gem experiments.... ughhh.
This show is filled with all sorts of feelings. It's gotta be one of the best shows ever. I 'm so grateful it exists.
I didn't think Malachite was scary at all...intense yeah, but not scary.
that scene where Malachites eyes look at the screen was creepy.

4. The Shapeshifter, particularly its Dipper/Mabel combination
3. The ghost in "Northwest Mansion Mystery"
2. Weirdmageddon (if I listed individual moments it would take up most of the list)
1. The airing schedule
I expected the cluster to be something "Super terrifying"!
*But nope..*
Same,
the concept of it was so cool and scary and tbh i think cartoon networks just didnt want to fund animating but probably mostly because it was
f u c k i n g s c a r y
honestly Steven universe wasn't made for kids that's why it's really famouse because it's mostly teens and adults who watch this little bundle of joy in my life
and didn't they stop the cluster a while back
+Josh Nanya malachites also gone along with jsaper
+Josh Nanya This was made before Super Watermelon Island came out.
PirateUnicorn hmm i guess that makes sense
Josh Nanya it's a Cartoon Network show of coarse it's for kids though it's still great
Want to know the creepiest Cartoon Network moment?
The moment you see TTG is going to be a real show.
Along with this comes creepy, often unsettling music (see: "Malachite" and "Gem Shards")
the kindergarten definitely gives off that feeling you get when you are in someone elses space alone
Giant Steven-Cat Fingers was a reference to the movie Akira.
that movie was absolute nightmare fuel XD
Welp that episode was the the scariest to me so I will NOT be watching akira
someone explain whats akira please?
+Jazzy Beverly it's a Chinese/ Japanese movie. it's really good but a little on the creepy side
+Star King i see... thank you!
When you said that the fusion experiments weren't even attacking, but seemed to reach out for something, it's literally that : they are reaching out, in hope to find their own shards, and be whole again.
I love how onion is on this list lmao
+Salt cuz that boy is a creepy child
Im Stevonnie and Im not your baby! He terrifies me.
Salt Fr tho XD
I love how your name is Salt and you have Pearl. It's pretty freaking accurate.
You in an alternate universe Thank you.
What about Sugilite? Call me a baby if you want to, but I'm scared as heck of that fusion. More than I am of Malachite, to be honest with you.
What details of sugillite horrify you?
+Fruiti Hooti I dunno, I think it's a bit of instinct, but she scares me. Expecialy in Cry For Help, because she, besides the huge amount of power that she already has, is mad as heck, and that makes even more scared of her.
***** It's weird, right?
+Mr Spider That and the fact that she nearly killed Steven and Pearl, especially since her components, Garnet and Amethyst, care so deeply for them. Sugalite is not a good fusion.
Jamie Lomax And that
This is a pretty good list. I'd like to see a remake now that we've seen more stuff, such as Jasper's corruption or Stevonnie's hallucinations.
I absolutely love Steven Universe, Brittany! Such a good show!
+Liz CT AH I had no idea! Oh yeah, it's so great. :D
Frybo and Lapis herself SHE TOOK AWAY A WHOLE OCEAN
+Brittany Brode did you know originally steven got cancer and died and became sans from undertale
that's a joke
+Krack Korn no it isn't
cat fingers for me is more sad then scary.
The most scariest thing is how almost EVERYONE rather Rose than Steven. It's like... they're always saying "You're fine, but you're not her." And he's like "It's ok. I understand." But poor Steven, he's just 14!
Scariest thing in Steven Universe: how messy Amethyst's room is.
Uhhhhhh... only if you're Pearl.
when I saw the cat fingers part on TV it totally creped me out
same
same and I think it was the first episode I saw
This just show that even the most happiest joyful things have dark creepy side
5:35 you can hear the Cluster screaming "Heeeeelp, HEEEELP"
+Henrique Carballo Aranha omg
I don't understand the "missing piece" clip. I can't tell what she said. it's too blurry to understand.
the most terrifying for me, were the fusion experiments, frybo and Lapis' head peer up with a waterfalls coming out of her eyes and mouth .
Frybo was extremely scary i forgot about him until now
The most creepiest thing was the lapis nightmare Steven had I mean come on! Water (meant to represent blood) is coming out of her mouth and eyes!
I think that Frybo is the scariest in Steven Universe
The scariest thing in steven universe is the way each episode ends; it blacks out. (Not the filler episodes)
I like Mala’s theme
It’s the perfect blend of unsettling and badass which let’s be honest fits Malachite perfectly
It feels like it has everything that made the escape part from Revenge Of Meta Knight in Kirby Super Star so intense (Including those god damn sirens)
You know whats the creepiest thing that is happening in steven universe? HIATUS
+banana studio DUN DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUN ( sorry about that )

FaIcon_King yeah, except when someone peels it off and sticks it back on, it's next to useless at that point. XD
ReachSkyla
True
I'm not sure why, but the one scary thing that really stuck to me were the fusion experiments. It was probably Garnet's reaction to them. Her face is heartbreaking, and imagining what could have been going on in Ruby and Sapphire's minds at that moment is terrifying.
Honestly, Over The Garden Wall is a lot more terrifying than Steven Universe :/
I agree.....
Your point being ?
Luna Skyle ... My point being that OTGW is a lot more terrifying than Steven Universe...
(In my opinion, of course. Is that what you wanted me to say, or...?)
I'd say Gravity Falls beats both of those, In the terrifying factor at least.
She forgot the freaking hospital where steven and Connie and her mother was attack by corrupted gmes
*0* Gacha Darkside Wolf *0* not corrupted, they were some of the fusion experiments
Tbh I was more scared of cat fingers but really creeped out by frybo
The scariest thing is the hospital ugh

Abusive relationships

"Kids show!"
Onion isn't scary
You sound like someone who thinks that “kids” are much more childish than they actually are, when in reality a lot of them are super mature
Also, some kids have to go through this stuff! Like trauma, death, abusive relationships, and “scary dreams.” Why does it matter if it’s in a show?
Forced fusion should've been #1
In ma opinion, lapis was crying without her sound in steven's nightmare was #2
"Kids Show"
Right
It kinda is meant for kids, although adults like it too
+Jonathan White Cartoon Network in a nutshell
Just mesh Courage the cowardly dog with Steven Universe.
Seeing the tortured, white-eyed, screaming faces when Steven and Peridot were trying to stop the cluster was pretty freaky to me.And to be completely honest, the show has made me feel even more guilty about wearing jewellery. :[

THE CORRUPTION SONG LIKE IT'S SO CREEPY
And Look how Far We've Come... White Diamond and her Pearl are now the Main Focus of Season 5 and I Imagine they Give Kids Plenty of Nightmares!
