Hi! An Ipad or any tablet can be extremely helpful because you dont need to carry different books or notebooks and you can multitask and be efficient with note taking (ie download the slides to write on, split screen with notes etc). But its completely up to preference! You can definitely survive on paper, and in fact many students prefer it!
