GETTING X-RAYED FOR A FACIAL FRACTURE | DID HE SERIOUSLY BREAK A BONE IN HIS FACE?!

Getting X-rayed for a facial fracture to see if he broke a bone in his face. When Krew face planted riding a bike and smacked his face onto the pavement we knew it was bad. He had cuts and scrapes and bruises and some pretty serious road rash. Since he hit face first his cheekbone took most of the impact of the faceplant. It was swollen and bruised and pretty banged up. The next morning he was complaining that his whole head hurt and especially that cheekbone. We thought it was best to take him into the doctor to make sure he hadn't suffered a concussion or fractured his face! They immediately sent us to the hospital for X-rays to see if his face was broken. Not that there's much you can do for a broken face but at least if he had fractured a bone in his face we would know to keep him out of any high intensity activities. Better safe than sorry in that situation.
