Sevendust has been my favorite band for 20 years. I followed all of Clint's side projects too. His journey helped me to start considering sobriety when I really needed it 12+ years ago. It took me a long time but I've made a lot of progress, and Clint was the original inspiration.
You have no idea how much i needed this in my life today. Always such a pleasure to hear Clint speak. I remember the days of the first 7D tours every time they hit New England it was magic. But my addiction progressed as well and by the time Clint put out Hello Demons Meet Skeletons i was so desperately lost to heroin and that HDMS record and his story made me start thinking maybe there was a way out. Clint spent a lot of time supporting and encouraging me back in those 2009 through 2012 days. Unfortunately i wasn't done yet and ill always feel like i disappointed him because of how much he really cheçked up on me but i know everyones journey is different, but ill always be so grateful for him and it goes without saying he's one of the most talented people on the planet. Thank you guys for this.
Sevendust is such an underrated band. Clint himself and the music he makes is incredibly impressive. His story behind all the music he wrote has such a deep meaning to it. Clint’s music inspired me in so many ways, he never disappoints me. And all I can think of when I’m listening to it, is how grateful I am for the exceptional talent, Clint and the 7D boys brought to the world. They’ve been so flawlessly consistent when it came to releasing new music. It def helped get thru tough times and it’s helped me grow in the most positive way possible. Thank you Clint!
6 months sober here. Clint, Sevendust and Dark New Day New have helped keep me moving forward. Clint is my favorite guitarist, and since getting sober Ive picked my guitar back up thats been collecting dust for over a year. Working on a new project now and it feels good to be a productive human again.
I love Sevendust, my favorite ever. It's good for me to here stories like this cause I know there's light at the end of the tunnel. I'm currently in sober living tryin to get my life back on track. 20yrs as a heroin addict 1st time in recovery. Its definitely gonna b a tough road ahead but i know better days r comin. Anyone who's still suffering, reach out, your worth it
This is a great conversation, thank you for having Clint on, he is such a positive force and such an inspiration as a human being and as a musician. To be honest I didn't know there was that much friction with other band members in the past, I'd be really curious to hear more about that.
Awesome stuff my sober brother! Outside of the little part of me not being a Rockstar our journeys are similar. Clean at 35 here now 12 years + clean. Thx 4 chatting with me/my wife outside the TLA a couple years back....bucket list item completed with that one. 💯🙏❤️🤘💪
